I would recommend to change the highbeam and parkinglights when you have the headlights off, because they are nearly impossibly to reach when all is in place.
Beau boulot ! 👍 👏
Hi there, not sure what the part number is for as i have no way to reverse look it up. Generally speaking however the gearbox mount is under the battery tray. The air filter and battery box need to come out, support the underside of the gearbox with a jack. It may need lowered down a bit to remove the mount. Not the worst job but i have not really changed a gearbox mount just as a job on its own. Watch any of my clutch videos you will see the gearbox mounts in those videos. There is a 406 clutch video which might be as close to the 407 as i have.
@@peugeotCitroen2CV Hello, it seemed to me too which should not be very different, my car has headlight washer, I'll put a message on the channel when I disassemble it. Greetings.
Hello. First of all thank for this video. On my Peugeot 407 does not work the headlight washer. Can you please give some advise about that? Maybe I don't know how to active...? I don't know but I hope your advise will help. Thank you
Hi there The headlight washer uses a seperate pump to the windscreen washer pump to provide the pressure that cleans the headlights, it is the water pressure which causes the jets to rise and clean the headlights. The headlights need to be turned on for this function to work The washer bottle is located in the wheelarch on the right hand side of the car (right being from the perspective of someone sitting in the car looking outside) I recorded a video recently where i fix the windscreen washer system on this car, but it will be a while before i get round to editing it. Although for it i had the wheel-arch liner out and was working at the pumps. With the wheelarch liner removed and vehicle safely supported: Check the headlights washer pump works, (lights on and feel/listen for it working. If it does not work remove the electrical connectors and use a volt meter to see if 12v is there when the wiper stalk is pulled back. If it is then you have a bad pump, if its not then its possibly a fuse or some other electrical item. If the pump works then look at the piping which goes to the headlights, ideally the bumper will need removed if that piping needs replaced. Also check the washer jets to ensure they are not clogged up
Haha its been quite a while, i actually made a point of avoiding tbe 407 trying the volvo V70 for a while a few years ago. Although it's actually a really nice car to drive. It is my own 407 yes, there should be more videos in the pipeline and the estate leaves it possible to do even more. Although i have an avantime V6 in that needs an engine out cambelt change first.
You possibly could remove one side of the bumper and pull it out of the road to slip the headlight past but i personally find it more hassle than to just go on and do it properly remove the bumper and have good access to the fasteners for the headlight
I have the coupé version and it has rear and front sensors. But this is my issue, the front sensor near the plate felt behind and I don't manage to access it. I've tried by myself but couldn't figure out how to move the bumper enough
They are not too bad, few well documented electrical gremlins that can be fixed relatively easily nowadays and compared to much newer stuff you dont have wet belts, weak timing chains, or adblue that has the potential to cost thousands. On the other hand i was never a huge fan of the 407s aesthetic similarity to a 90s chrysler concorde.

Thanks for keeping this video online. Cause I just needed it.
Thanks!
Lovely big cars to drive the 407 my father had one a few years back
Looking forward to getting to drive this, only briefly drove it about the yard when it was delivered. The seats are extremely comfortable

Any tips how to replace gearbox mount (1813G9)?

I have a 407 coupe, is the same procedure?
Hi there, i think the coupe will be vaguely similar, the bumper is a different part number but should attach the same way

Watching whole video for that awkward bolt 24:29 but you chose shortcut 😂😂 anyway what tool do I need to remove that awkward bolt.
Hi, nice vid. I wana ask..i must to remove front bumper for change front headlights..or it can be do without removing all. Thx

Can you take off the headlight without removing the bumper?
No, bolts are underneath.
Does 407 have front parking sensors?
Not this one, but i believe the facelifted cars got front sensors

Very good! Perfect!
Thanks for the comment
i have to change my front door on the almost identical phase 2 model 😂 gonna have to remove that wing to do that
O. K.
These cars are just trouble. They only look nice. Sad to say.
