Growing up a huge TD fan I always hated KG for how he constantly tried to get in timmy's head. Gained so much respect for him and his warrior mentality and how he admired TD
The most important thing I got from this is the Spurs star player had the coach coming down on him just like every other player. Part of that is because Tim had the kind of personality that he would allow it and use it to make the entire team better. Stephen Jackson said it "Man if Tim is taking it from Pop then I gotta take it." If your star is a Prima Dona then things get dicey.
If you know and loved Basketball over the last 30 years this is fascinating stuff. particularly the defensive tips from GP to KG and Kobe. I remember a time early on when Kobe was questionable defensively and then soon thereafter very quickly developed into a 1st team all-NBA defender. Good stuff!
