“When you play on an NBA team you earned youre position , they give you a jersey, youre given an locker , thats your space!! 💯💯💯” Damn i felt that because the NBA isnt for everyone its an exclusive job !
@jerry cruz look at the numbers to make into the league. You have better chances of being a powerball winner than first round draft pick. That locker room should be sacred.
mcq31mc making it to the league still doesn’t mean you’ve made it. Too many guys get to the league, take it for granted, and lose that space just as fast. Just like powerball winners. Getting there is a big step, but it’s still only the first one.
@jerry cruz when he said you earned it he means act like you belong. You earned this shit so go out and show out. You can earn something and lose it. You can also earn something and that means you need to work to keep it. KG saying you earned this shit so own it.
jerry cruz A person who has been a legit CEO (I.e. an actually successful company) does not go back to the mailroom at a new job. LOL. That’s asinine my friend. If you’re a CEO not only is your field executive management, but you have achieved the highest position in your field. You can rest assured that a person like this will have their pick of high ranking managerial executive positions in their job search and even possibly may end up as a CEO somewhere else immediately-depending on their reasons for leaving the company. But you are correct on the first part of your comment about someone earning their spot on a team. But you are also dead wrong about the CEO part haha

South Carolina turning out past and future stars Ja Zion

Man i love this show...this show a breath of fresh air for real fans.
To me ALL THE SMOKE is the best sports show and that's because there are two dynamic interviewers who don't sugarcoat anything. These guys ask questions we all want to know the answers too and at the same time there's humor sprinkled in....funny moments that make you laugh. Keep up the good work guys!!!
Ssenkoto Romeo , they both actually played in the nba, that’s what make them different
@@rice909 Yeah...for sure bro.
I just gotta say how much I love the job Matt Barnes does. I never ever thought he could be so insightful and relatable to the general public. Him and Mr. Jackson doing an excellent job with these!
Aamir Uddin straight up they the best out right now
SJ goes off topic and Barnes has to keep him on topic.
bro i swear KG is a true story teller... That passion is contagious...
KG is an amazing storyteller. Being a basketball fan since the early 90s I could just visualize everything he was talking about and that takes an unique storyteller to keep you engaged. Shoutout to KG for a great watch!

Best podcast ever, I’m so glad kobe got on before he passed 🙏🏼
It was his last interview, I believe.
🙏
@@Winnyfruits there's one more but it was one of Kobes best interviews fr tho
Might sound crazy but it was a lot of Kobe videos in my feed before he passed but it could just be a coincidence
Kilduce his name was starting to get out there more again. The next chapter of his retirement life. I started watching alot of his videos just before he passed as well.
KG used to wear icebergs in his ears. Biggest diamonds I'd ever seen in my life. One of the coolest players ever with one of the most underrated sneakers ever. The Nike Air Garnett 3s
Oh shit I thought people forgot about the KGs. I'm still trying to find a pair.
This episode is on the Mount Rushmore of “all the smoke” shows at number 1. Consistent real talk and energy in Kevin’s answers and Matt and stacks questions!!!!
This is one of the most legendary NBA interviews ever. I'm a diehard Celtics fan but I didn't knew Garnett had THIS charisma and this storytelling skills.
He needed a place where he could talk to ballers and not worry about cussing. He actually held back a little at times. If the people weren't in the room we may have got more.
The Kendrick Perkins impersonation 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Maybe it's the connection and history Matt and Stak have but they've been on fire with these guests.
No ones scared to be judged by their peers on this show these are respected nba guys and it shows
I listen to this interview once every two months. By far my favorite interview of all time
Yeah, KG is funny af...stand up quality
Think this is my 5th time watching this interview! 😂
It’s hella funny when Barnes busts Jackson’s chops for his hands being wet
I love how he's mean muggin' when talking about dunking on people, this is why I love basketball! Love seeing players beast out! I wish more NBA players were like KG.
Love it
Real shit. You gotta let that dog out.
I’m 45 min into this video, and arguably this is the best sports interview I’ve ever seen, no lie
This is one of the best interviews of all time
43:25 That Tim Duncan trash talking story had me weak. Glad to see KG with Duncan & Bryant in the 1st ballet Hall of Fame this year.
First ballot Hall of Famers. What a class.
person 1 🙌🏽✊🏽
Those MJ, TD, GP stories are pure gold
If this guy sticks to acting he could be one of the greatest in that business too. He’s super focused and works hard. Intense dude.
I agree. Dude was phenomenal, he should really work on acting and it could become a legitimate thing after the nba. He legit af
I didnt see the movie was he good?
@@sonny7194 He was awesome in Uncut Gems. Never really felt forced. Especially if I had no idea who he was before...I'd have never known he wasn't a trained actor.

Lol this guy has probably never listened to bill Simmons then. If you want real basketball talk listen to the book of basketball podcasts. Its other worldly. Cant compare to this thrash
Not really, shit is only good because Matt knows how to handle an interview, but Stax really drags it down.
brown otaku bill Simmons boring.
I freaking LOVE this interview! This is my era of basketball! I love that he mentioned Chris Webber and Joe Smith two of my favorite players!
Real spit that's the clothe of basketball I'm cut from and a fan of.. I miss Shawn Kemp😆
Man... the MJ story was epic. Never get tired of hearing great stories from players about the GOAT. 💯
Neillon Da'Prince JR tells a great version of this same story about MJ from that same game
ruclips.net/video/weFNwgDzGBo/видео.html
His perk imitation got me CRYING
this was highly engaging. KG's descriptions are going to be the closest thing to get us outsiders onto the basketball floor in the middle of a game -super interesting. That Gary Payton story was a gem. Damned right about AI and so many other things. Shout out to my KG Celtics crew! Good times, baby!
BTW hilarious when I realized KG was not going to have to "bend over" like rest of us to get that fallen shirt off the floor, his reach is so long of course. ehheh heh.
That MJ story was great.
Matt and Stephen are absolutely crushing this. Love it
When KG was talking about the old days I heard the NBA on NBC music.
Vogue Thompson basketball rock 😂 lol me too
roundball ruckus

Da dadadara dadum dadum dutum
This is the absolute BEST interview I've seen in a long time. KG is a gem. His MJ story is HILARIOUS!!!! The whole interview is fire though! Thank you for bringing him on the show!
Kevin Garnett funny as hell lmao
20:08 that Shaq impersination is SPOT ON lmaoo you’d think you’re listening to Shaq on TNT right now
It's great that KG gives so much respect and props to C-Webb, hugely underrated player.
Get ALLEN IVERSON on this IMMEDIATELY
Hugely underrated!!! I was a big C-Webb fan myself... still got his Upper Deck Fab 5 college/ NBA card
Im a huge KG fan (the kid) I remember when he came in the league and watched him his whole career to me he is underrated for sure. To be mvp and put up the numbers he did in MN with an average at best team just shows his greatness. To me he is one of the best of all time

The brand of basketball is for the brand of kids. Nobody has ever said it better. KG hittin' on the head! Most passionate player i ever had the privilege to watch.
This is amazing. Kevin Garnett’s love and passion for the game of basketball is up there with Jordan and Kobe. So glad he’s a champ and first ballot. Mauldin, South Carolina’s finest 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
“When you play on an NBA team you earned youre position , they give you a jersey, youre given an locker , thats your space!! 💯💯💯”
Damn i felt that because the NBA isnt for everyone its an exclusive job !

Finally nba players have their own media platform 😁 I didn’t think Matt and captain Jack would be the pioneer and they are doing a great job !
The player they hate the most started this

PostSniper- who
Miles and Richardson have Knuckleheads. Both shows go hard.
The crowd interaction is hilarious ”Rajon”” 😂😂
You can almost see a change in demeanor when KG mentions Kobe. He really tried to not go deep with those topics. As if he knows how emotional he could get
S. Tag Hell yeah man, like at 48:20 he just put his head down, eyes closed and you can tell that was a great sentiment to his GP and Kobe memory.
The way KG tells his stories are amazing..I could talk with dude for hours lol
Man kg is so charismatic and he knows how ti express himself, it is so fun watching him talk about his experiences in the nba

Every interview that has been done with KG has been big time entertaining. He his off the hook funny and he get into his stories....
For all the youngns, Big Dawg is Glenn Robinson , super underrated player
probably the worst defender around that time, too. I respect a guy who can score 20 points a game, and PREVENT others from scoring.
One of the few players to avg 30 in college and was the reason for the rookie salary cap because he was demanding 80 million out the gate before he played a pro game lol
