    Gary Payton is my favorite player, glad he mentioned Vince Carter's vertical. I used to cut Vince Carter's grass, the man had hands 3 times my size he was a super awesome person when I met em.

    S/O GP! Met him at a barbershop in Vegas. He wasnt hollywood, I wasnt fanned out... we shared great conversation and he gave me life lessons that i still live by. that was 10 years ago💯

      Shaw kemp was my favorite player as well. I believe kemps downfall was that he relied on a god given athletic ability and didn’t put in the work. Imagine if kemp kept his nose clean and had that killer instinct and dedication that Michael and Kobe had! He would be the best PF to ever play the position in my opinion.

    Love this intro. I grew up in Corvallis. When I was in high school, we used to go shoot around at Gill Colosseum after school. One day we were in the way when practice started for the college team. It was one of the first few practices of the year. Was the first time we saw this wirey, quicksilver dude, Gary Payton. We were in immediate awe. Been a huge fan ever since.

    Payton entered the league in 1990. By 93' he was in the conference finals and every year after the Sonics were considered a team that could win it all. That's sustained excellence. This is why I loathe this new way of thinking that "so and so didn't win right away in the league." Back then you got to a team, strapped up your boots and grew that team to perennial contender status. Anybody can have immediate success if they're jumping from team to team every other year.

    As. Celtics fan.... ll love kg... thank u for ll you did to get where u are and continuing to give back to the game/people.. I cN spen from experience that you carried yourself with a fire and gave it your all.. helped inspire me in my life in a indirect way kind of in my life in general. So thank you for that, I know it's slim to none you'll ever read this, but had to let that one go from the bottom of my heart. Everyone walks with some type of disadvantage, or something working against them, atleast at some point or always in life. So having you as one of Mt all time favorite basketball ayers, and how on the court u guys rode hard for the team and rhe guys with green on your back..... idk, can't describe it in the right way but thank u for the great moments and Watchung you play while always showing drive in you that goes way past the court. It's plain to see.

      They gave Jordan the Finals MVP because he was on the winning team, but if you watched those games, Kemp was the best player in the series. Rodman is one of the greatest defensive players in NBA history, but Kemp absolutely dominated him.

    GP my all time favorite player tough mentally and physically,only heard him being emotional when Kobe died 3 yrs nearly understandable.
