@@smallengineguys Thank you so much!! Thanks to your step by step video, I (a 33 yr old mom) was able to take our non working pushmower apart and cleaned the carb on my own! It didn't leak gas when I put it back together, and even more surprising.....IT STARTED!! On the very first pull!!! My mower starts, but sometimes it stalls when it's over heavy grass and it turns over, but it turns insanely slow, probably firing at the same rate as a heartbeat, then eventually it gets in gear and runs. Would that be a carb problem? Fuel starvation perhaps?
could be. have you checked your air filter made sure it isnt clogged? did it always have this issue?
@@smallengineguys air filter is new, replaced the spark plug, has good compression. Started last spring, had the mower for 8 years, only maintenance I've done is oil changes every season
carb
Thank you! Cleaned it out per video instructions, and it starts so easy I could use my big toe. I bought carb cleaner from AutoZone because I don't like buying stuff online and it seemed to have worked as intended. I appreciate you.
Thanks a lot. Super helpful.
Glad it helped!
Worked on my mower that was sitting for 2 years 👍
nice!
Great video, but I do have to point out a whole new carburetor is like $15 on Amazon.
I’m going to get one of those new and clean up the old one as a spare.
yep but sometimes you just need to get the lawn done and cant wait a couple days. also more like 30 but whos counting
Excellent job
Thank you very much!
This worked, thanks!
You're welcome!
This helped me out big time thanks.
Glad it helped
Thanks, this video helped me a ton!
Glad it helped!
Thank you for another amazing video! I have learned so much from your videos. I do have a question about this exact mower. What could be the cause of it running erratic or rough when first started but smooths out once its warm? I did clean the carb and istakked a new spark plug and air filter. Thanks again for all you do for us newbies appreciate you buddy.
choke sticking in the on position for to long
I have the exact opposite problem it runs fine till warm then surges almost till it dies and revs back up
My tb200 625ex is backfiring and lagging like it wants to shut-off
Does it pull back on the rope when starting? If yes flywheel key. Easy fix. If no exhaust valve. Not easy fix at all.
Show me how to remove the spark plug please.
Thank you so much for this video!!
I really hate asking such a dumb question, but....After cleaning with the acid and then flushing with the brake clean, you say you rinse it out and mention rinsing the other parts. What are you rinsing everything with?
Thank you so much for your time, and thank you for such an awesome video! Also, I'm laughing and loving how you explain what to do if you get acid or brake clean in your eyes. Makes the video go from great to perfect. 🤣 ❤
Just rinse everything out with the brake clean. Had a kid get some brake clean in his eye he started panicking thrashed his head back and forth headbutted a steal pole knocked him out cold. So i try to explain it to everyone now lol
@@smallengineguys Thank you so much!! Thanks to your step by step video, I (a 33 yr old mom) was able to take our non working pushmower apart and cleaned the carb on my own! (I also changed the oil and spark plug) Well, I had "help" and supervision from one of our nosey chickens, too bad I can't post pics in comments. 🤣 Also for viewers like me, stabbing the bolts thru a styrofoam plate allows you to label where each one came from so no bowl or piles of bolts trying to figure out which ones go where, but carb cleaner and gasoline, well, they don't play well with styrofoam plates. 🤣
And guess what?! It didn't leak gas when I put it back together, and even more surprising.....IT STARTED!! On the very first pull!!! You have no idea how excited and happy I am that I was able to do that, all thanks to your video. Thank you!
Oh. Also. I'm thankful for the heads up on brake clean in the eye. It's a LOT easier to do than I realized. 🤦♀️🤣 But all's well that ends well and I have a running push mower now!! ❤
Great video but next time use a Go-Pro video so you can stay focus on screen and use two hands. I've replaced everything but haven't tackled the carburetor yet....
early video. i wasnt as good at videoing back then.
Am I missing something? I don't see a list of parts or the type of acid you used. Thanks for the great no BS video. Glad to see that you and I are alike. If you can't hit it with a screwdriver to get something to fit, it ain't worth fixing.

@@smallengineguys thanks, must have missed it.

Already have. Your watching an older video.
a sweet lullaby for the TB200 ruclips.net/video/b7DkxrjhSsI/видео.html lyrics included in the description. you can crank this beautiful music next time you work on one. I wonder if the author sent that song to Troy Bilt.
These carbs are $20 on Ebay.. Why not just replace the carb and save the headache of taking it apart.
because it isnt 20 bucks and can be done right now instead of 2 days to a week from now. not everyone lives in a disposable society.
I bought two brand new ones on eBay and they ran one time so you are better off learning how to do that
@@americanbadass011 nah let him learn the hard way.
I hate this stupid lawnmower fml 🤦🏽♀️ but I gotta do what I gotta do. If this don’t work I’m gonna be so mad lol
if its the carb this will work. squirt carb cleaner in carb mouth try start if it starts and shuts off this is your issue
@@smallengineguys I put a bit of gas in the side of the carb and almost started and shut off. Got it apart rn
@@sarahlately89 this will do it.
@@smallengineguys man I forgot to message you back yesterday, but thank you so much, it worked and I was able to get my yard cut. I only used carb cleaner though, nothing else
@@sarahlately89 it works it works. No wrong way if it runs lol. Great job.
