You can get owl pellets from the loot crates on genesis. I don't know if it would be enough to sustain the Gachas, but it's a start at least.

If you want to bring a giga, you should spend a day or so getting a small mutation stack. It will help you a lot in genesis, especially against the x-creatures. The alpha brute t-rex did roughly 1000 damage; health and melee mutations would be crucial to making those fights less stressful. It wouldn't have to be a lot of mutations, but if you are getting 10% on melee with each mutation is is definitely worth it!

allos will also be a good help in the battle against the brutes because they can bleed them even if they are just throw away allos (syntac should tame allos on genesis)
I typically use a giga with 260% base melee imprinted and leveled a ton and it is super easy except last part with the raptors where I always get enraged and my giga eats me
You can’t use gigas for alpha brute dinos, especially raptor, they deal to much damage. I play official with 515 base melee gigas. Even with good saddles and 100% you’ll still enrage
Health mutations on gigas are not even worth it because you get such a small increase per mut. Melee is the only worth while mutation on gigas.
For me the main problem for alpha brute missions is not health it's trying to kill the boss before the giga rages what I do is tag team the boss with several gigas honestly some of the alpha brutes are kind of impossible like the raptor rages my gigas in 3 hits and it hits fast what I suggest for the alphas is skip them and come back to them after you had defeated the controller boss on Gama to get the skiff the shoot the apha brutes with a ton of turrets
A snow owl wouldn’t be a good idea to bring to genesis as flyers are disabled anyways, also I think that includes managarmrs, but the rock drake works just fine

In the ark server manager you can enable flyers and that is what I do, I fly around on my snow owl (I have a cluster server) rock drakes are just as good though I use them quite a lot they are still a pain to use while gliding through the bog

Hey Syntac, i'd suggest no Gachas. Use gigas to do the Yuter mission and get a mining drill that way. then let the element farming begin!
You might be able to use the slomo (slowmo maybe, I forget) to skip the titan fight cool down. Pretty sure that everyone would be OK with it
Edited June 7th: it has been said in the comments of this comments that you would still be sitting around for 36 minutes at 10x speed (according to the calculations of Ian Christian, thank you), I would be OK with you using infinitestats while using slomo (it was implied earlier for those reasons though I should’ve stated it my bad) the votes from earlier may be OK with slomo, though I’m not sure how they would feel about infinitestats as well, it might be a good a idea to put up a poll with these questions if you plan on doing it

Hm, for the creatures to bring next season. I say take a breeding pair of gigas (alpha ones are HARD, you might wanna stack mutations) and an ele gacha, will save you a hell of a lot of farming. You'll get plenty of good loot from the missions, and snow owl pellets dont affect the amount of element dust you get.

Yeah owl pellets make it so you get 180 dust per crystal instead of whatever it is without them
In stead of bringing the gacha's, you could bring a breeding pair of giga's and use those to kill tek rexes etc. on Lunar and get element dust from it.
Snow owls are not an option, since flyers are disabled, right?
You can cryo them to move them, but besides that they are super difficult to move

I think what you could do is since you brought 9 creature to extinction, 3 from each. Maybe since now going to season 2 of the game you bring more than 3 like maybe 4 or 5 creatures
i think gigas rage when they take huge amounts of damage in a short time about 10-20k
titan was doing about 2-3k per shot but wasn't hitting continuously
he would hit 2-3 times then start moving about so that resets it i believe
Farming element is so easy on genesis its probably pointless doing the ele gacha. Gonna take u more time to farm stone etc for the gacha than it would to farm ele. A breeding pair of giga might be a good idea but your honestly way better off with an army of rexes or theris on that map. The alphas lay so much damage down that they enrage gigas too quickly. So honestly take your reaper, and breeding pair of rexes. You won't regret that choice. You may regret the gigas further down the line. Expecially when u race against the clock at the end of some missions. Reapers are awesome cause of the reduced damage and they super useful in the boss fight for crowd control. You'll thank me later. :)
I would think the three would be from Extinction in addition to what he already has brought over. Reapers are real good too on Gen.
Since he will be bringing all of the dinosaurs of the other Dlc, he already have a pair of rexes so bringing a pair of gigas wouldn’t be a bad idea but I totally agree on the elements point, there are very easily farmed.
Syntac, I would suggest bringing 2 Giga's and a mek. The reasoning is as follows:
1. Element Gacha's are without doubt useful but Genesis is by far the easiest map to manually gather large amounts of element, making it the least useful map to bring them to (If you were going to any of the previous maps they'd pretty much be a must bring, but not here).
2. Giga's will be incredibly useful and you'll want the mate boost on them.
3. Unless you enable flyers (which given you've been following official settings for exploration/combat so far, I doubt) the snow owl will be totally useless as anything but a poop producer.
4. If you bring 2 Gacha's you'll have to clone your snow owl to increase pellet production and that'll eat so much element 90% of the early gacha convenience will be negated.
5. While initially gathering the element you need for the Tek Replicator, Giga's would be great to protect you in the Lunar Biome and increase your gathering (slightly) by eating all of the Tek creatures that try to stop you (not sure I'd risk the Volcano with one, the potential for stepping off a ledge and taking epic fall damage alone would put me off).
Lastly, this will in no way affect the decision of what to bring from Extinction but, Rock Drakes are AMAZING on Genesis. They can swim down to the underwater caverns (the ones surrounded by forcefields) and act as a decent BoB, as well as give you easy access to all of the islands. In the Arctic and Volcanic biomes they can launch from all of the rocky outcrops to get around extremely quickly, in the Lunar Biome they can launch you from platform to platform and glide almost indefinitely and, best of all, in the Swamp Biome they can easily climb the trees and activating their camoflage prevents bloodstalkers from seeing you and pulling you off your mount. It's also a really easy way to scout/purge bloodstalkers for taming reasons since it can climb the trees, walk right up to them and will easily nom the poop ones you want to clear away for better spawns. Much as the Rock Drake ruled Aberration, using it on Genesis feels like it was designed to be the apex all purpose mount for the map imo. Oh, also, taming Ferrox - camo doesn't walk, but you can feed it, hop on a rock drake and then wait out the transformation halfway up a nearby cliff.
Hey Syntac, not sure if your gonna read this or not but this is still useful for everyone else.
The reason why Gigas rarely rage anymore is cause you most likely have PvE on.
Wildcard made it that in PvE servers (build into PvE) that Gigas no longer kill there Owners/other tames while Raged.
They will have glowing eyes still though that will mean nothing to you and your tames since they are still under control.
Gigas also can no longer Rage from Fall Damage and i believe Rage is completely disabled while your riding your Gigas.
Syntac we secretively know you ment for the forest titan to despond to show us what not to do
i think the brainworms from one of your starter gigas carried over to a few (especially the one during that first fight that didnt do anything)
I think you should bring the Giga. Those hunt missions are not going to be easy either way, but having a strong creature can definitely help you out in many places.
I have watched every episode up to here and I love your content so much. I personally think that you make ark so much more fun to watch and play. I can’t wait to watch the rest of ultimate ark and plan on watching all of your other content. In terms of what your gonna bring to genesis, bring whatever you wanna bring to make your it easier. It is your play through so do whatever you need to do to make it to the end. 👍🏽👍🏽
I’d suggest you give Genesis 25 episodes instead of 20 to account for difficultly. That way if you follow that pattern with Part 2 you will round the series off with 150 episodes.
Or if part 2 is harder than part 1 then you could do 35 or 40 on part 2
You should bring one creature from each of the other islands
Personally, I would bring 1x Element Gacha, 1x Female Giga, 1x Male Giga.
Youll need giga's a lot more for all the missions. And I would use the gacha to craft up a replicator asap, and then just farm Element in the volcano.
The reason I don't bring a snow owl, is well, firstly it's only for mouth poop, since it can't fly on Genesis, and secondly, the poop isn't all that useful, since you'll get so much stuff from missions. Yes, it may increase the Element Dust production, but you'll get more from just farming the volcano.
Do missions to buy the Element to make the Replicator, then just use a Mining Drill to get Shards for Element. That frees up having to use a Gacha or Snow Owl:D Maybe Giga, Mana to get around? or just taking a Giga breeding line.
Id say the lineup will probably be 2 gigas and a mek

I'd love to see a 40 episode series on Genesis, not only does that mean more frequent uploads because of less to do between them but I love the map and would love to see a full play through of it. Even if you have to turn on single player difficulty!
Ditch the Gatchas, unlimited element on Genesis you just farm it. You want the mystery loot? Genesis missions (y). Keep the GIGAS, GIGAS always solves your problems. Anyways keep up the good videos.

An idea for the Genesis series is to maybe do 50 episodes for part 1 and 2. Just a thought
Bring an unassembled Mek and a pregnant Gacha. Technically only 3 creatures if you bring Joffrey, a Gacha, and a Snow Owl. Only that one of those will pop out a second and one of your items will become one

You don’t need the gacha and the snow owl because a mining drill which can be made in a fabricator is great for harvesting element shards in volcano, therefore immediately making the gacha and snow owl irrelevant, the rest of what you bring is up to you

Syntac, I love how you add the Spawn in to the next map after the ascension of the previous map. I think you should save Genesis's though for a post-credits scene ;)
If you do the Gamma Ruffle some Feathers, you get a good Drill and possible Drill BP. Then just take the drill to the volcano for easy element :)
syntac, the only thing that can really cause a gigs to rage is another gigs or tamed titans. the wild titans don't do enough damage to rage them. if you watch the footage back your rage meter goes up very slightly but the damage isn't consistent enough to push you over.

For genesis take reaper for combat missions, drake for mobility and the invisibility is makes the hunting missions so easy because u can just walk pass creatures and Rex to clone for army
Sadly you can't transfer reapers (the reason why is probably because of their 360º tail knockback which would be really good for the corrupted master controller boss)
Remember the genesis crates give you owl pellets
Syntac i think the reason there are limited crafting amount on the chest piece, boots and helmet could possibly be due to those pieces abilities, like breathing under water, jetpack and no fall damage, i could be wrong but it also makes sense,

Anyone who’s saying to bring weaver you can’t transfer reapers to genesis if I’m correct I would not recommend bringing the element gacha syntac because element is easy to get with a mining drill in volcano. Love the episode!
Forget about Gacha and Owl, you can get element in other ways (tho not as fast) and the owl would be useless outside of pellet machine. THE ONE thing you should bring to Genesis is the Rock Drake, for amazing mobility combined with good power and alpha status, and then a giga pair.

Syntac you can’t ride flyers on Genesis, you can’t ride the Snow Owl so you can’t heal your Dino’s, I definitely recommend bringing two Giganotosaurus so you can breed them to do the missions, and for Genesis you should do 25 episodes, 10 episodes to grind out get all of your equipment and tame some Dinos, 10 episodes to do the missions, and the last 5 episodes to prepare for the boss and kill the bosses.

You only took about 4k damage per hit from the Forest titan, so you probably didn't take enough damage for the Rage mode to activate.

Your character becomes a homo deus at the end of ARK extinction, your implant disappears. When you go to your inventory and look at your new implant it says” your homo deus implant”. And you also get a homo deus armour/skin
They increased the damage to make Gigas rage by 55 percent many updates ago. And consecutive hits in a short amount of time will rage a giga. It takes a massivs hit to rage them in one hit like 5 k or so. We willl rock you mission on alpha is an instant rage if his rock explodes on you.
You should bring the snow owl, the element gacha, and the Giga. Also try to stack a little more mutations so he’s OP. Love the vids aswell Syntac!

I beat the Gamma King Titan with only a Mutated Snow Owl. Owl has 10 mutations in health and 10 in melee. The fights after that one though I had to use a rex army and the Titans for the Alpha version. You should bring two gigas and a snow owl. You can't heal creatures with the snow owl if you can't ride it though because of the "no fliers" rule. But you should get a stack of mutations on the gigas before you leave Extinction. It would help.

Syntac you should use the slomo (ex. slomo 50) command to make time speed up in game while you wait. It will make it so that it won’t take 6 real life hours to redo the boss fights. (I don’t have s+ or ss so mass hatching eggs and stacking mutations takes absolutely forever so I use this so that I don’t need to be afk forever in order to get a handful of mutations in single player)

I know you will say no to what I’m about to say but it would make my day to play with you I’ve played ark for a long time but I can never play like you your a lot better than me and I love to watch your videos they are amazing and you make super cool mutations you are my favorite ark tuber and I have been subbed for a long time and watched your videos for longer not knowing you could subscribe to channels ark is one of my favorite games and you are amazing
honestly, if you are just looking at getting Element from the Gacha, you dont need an owl. just weigh it down with rocks.
i dont think owl pellets help with drop count of their items, just potential rarity and stats of items for gear.
@Syntac just count the snow owl as your shoulder pet since theres no shoulder pet on extinction and you can't even ride the owl on genesis so it's basically useless other than for pellets
Just bring a breeding pair of Gigas, and maybe a rock drake because I don"t think the gliding is disabled, also no need for gachas, just get the mining drill, or go to the lunar biome and farm the tek creatures.
