That is actually possible. Mercenaries would use every advantage they can get. Throwing an axe like a boomerang is bound to give you a moment of surprise against an onstorming enemy.

Kent Hien Lmao he has an entire enormous fort, I think losing 3 arrows when you're 7M from it isn't much of a deal.
Kent Hien actually, that was to create noise from the axe. See, that way, the monsters would aim for the axe instead of them.
Because of the shape and size of the axe, there's no way you could throw it and have it accurately hit anything.
You all say it's to save themselves from getting attaked by the monsters, but you won't be saying that after losing all of your seemingly "limitless" arrows and somehow "unbreakable" bow.

Honestly I want to see a modern ish version of this, but rather during the era of WW1 instead, were we see stuff like machine guns and artillery versing a mass of these things. It be pretty cool considering how fast they can over run a position.

Imo these monsters wouldnt have stood a chance against modern (even WW2/1) weaponry. If a bow and some weak explosives can take care of them like nothing then bullets would destroy them lol.

I don't think it was the smartest idea to signal for rocket arrows to rain down on you. They only survived because of dumb luck.
Also, don't tell me that the archers are aiming, cus as the scene so aptly provided, you can't see anything down there.
Its called calling for fire "danger close". They actually teach it in Field Artillery school. When the situation is FUBAR and sideways, and you are already getting overrun, you call fire on your position in order to take as many of the bastids with you as you can.
