The man who composed the music is Toshihiko Horiyama! His name is not found in the video description so I must comment about this. His name deserves to be know after all he wrote the music that we are listening to!
This is truly a timeless and solid soundtrack from the SNES era of gaming. Each song in this OST is memorable, catchy, and it fits well with the dark gothic atmosphere of the game. I can listen to this game's OST over and over again, and never grow bored of it. Capcom really outdid themselves with this one. And the funny thing is this game came out the same year as Megaman X, another Capcom game that I have fond memories of. God I miss this era.
It's amazing. A fine individual recommended I listen to the soundtrack, I did and it has been a blast, watch a playthrough of it, and now I'm listening to this, would recommend it to anyone who enjoys good fun music. Didn't know it came out the same year as Megaman X, that's pretty cool, also great and catchy music. Thank you for the knowledge.
@@hermeticinstrumentalist6804 Yeah. This musical score is pretty timeless. And yes, both games came out in 1994. Although Megaman X was released early in the year, and Demon's Crest came out late in the year. More specifically in October. So Demon's Crest came out just in time for Halloween. And boy what a Halloween season it was.
This game scared the shit out of me when I was a child lol The dark music didn't help neither haha The only piece that didn't scare me was Beyond the Colosseum, always enjoyed that even as a little kid.
Maybe the best game of all time. The soundtrack alone is substantial. Also take the time to Emulate it there's two different endings and full armor is really fun.

The organists of Halloween could be hammering out ghoulish goodness like this. Though it's a great 2D game confined to its time & place, it makes me wonder about the politics & power plays of the forces of darkness. This game REALY NEED A REMAKE!.
Definitely!
No, it does not. It is perfect exactly the way it is.
@@yuliyangeorgiev4811 there are two schools of thought. Those who want this feeling to last forever and those who believe life is too short
I'm semi-considering learning how to make games. Making a spiritual successor to this game is at least 50% of the reason why.
@@yuliyangeorgiev4811 You are right sir, a master piece of games, im sad for those that never find this gem

@@MatthewTheWolf2029 Hell yeah.
Smart move.
this is still to this day my favorite video game
Composer is toshihiko horiyama
Horiyama is a brilliant composer! 👍
Before Dark Souls there was the original slew of bosses that would end you in Demons Crest!
Dunno but Dark Souls bring me back this game and Vagrant Story,
dark souls is the billie eilish of videogames.
Look up Chakan The Foreverman for Genesis if you've never heard of it. Similar hub world and level select to Demon's Souls and quite difficult.
Great game. Great soundtrack.
Terrible boxart, though :/
@@FlynnRausch What is boxart? Not native speaker here
It's a shame there are no secuels
@@piedramultiaristas8573 Boxart is the picture on the front of the box. In this game's case, it's not very good.
@@FlynnRausch Thanks
It’s funny to hear the music without the environmental sound effects and the “AH!” Of me losing a life point every 2 seconds…
HAHAHA
I would love to hear a composer turn these songs into full orchestra pieces some day.
Palace of Decadence is my ish. I'll drink to that.
Cheers!
It's practically a miracle that this awesome a soundtrack comes out of SNES's 16bits. Puts SoTN's ost to shame, imho
Tá de brincadeira, jovem? SoTN no chinelo? Finale Toccata, Dance of Pales, Lost Painting, Cyrstal teardrops...
Um, this soundtrack *is* incredible, but it puts SoTN to "shame?" Uh... I think they can co-exist quite nicely.

I Love 7th Stage Theme! (Phalanx's Fortress/Dark Demon's Hideout)
the nostalgia is real.
thanks for posting.
You can hear the Megaman X4 vibes in some of those songs. It's the same composer!
His name is Toshihiko Horiyama. By the way, he also wrote the password music for Mega Man X!
@@CalebePriester i see it in a website i know
The MMX4 Stage Select theme sounds a lot like Cursed Towers.
28. Memorial of the Fallen Ones. By far throws me into nostalgia and an ironic sense of peace the most.
Me too. Memorial of the Fallen Ones is a perfect end credits song.

7:24 Sounds much like when you would hear it in a Disney game.
Probably one of the most amazing soundtracks of SNES games. Only A Link to the Past tops this, but barely.
Thank you! I love this game so damn much...
One day...we will see this gem on Steam.
Ghost n Goblins Resurrection plus the Capcom Arcade Stadium GnG did happen, after all.
I haven't even played this game before, but the soundtrack got me
TBH it's one of the great Metroidvania's of its era, and criminally underrated to boot. Great setting, story, gameplay, score.....just everything.
Capcom, where's the remake of this game??? Urgently
in ghost goblins enemy and in this game a hero! :)
Let me get my spell out before I die.
my childhood
Este juego esta en mi podio de los mejores junto al mario world y a link to the past
The opening theme reminds me so much of the Forest Temple music in Zelda OOT. Anybody else?
Outstanding
the difference between Firebrand and Thanos...
loved this game EXCEPT for the skull headbutt minigame
I thought i am the only one who hated that part
