They really need to fix a lot of the PC bugs. The PC ports removed soft reset, has tons of gpu compatibility issues (rx 7000 series and rtx 3000 cards especially), bugs in games that have existed since PS3, recom is missing config options... it's unacceptable for the ports to be even worse than PS4.
KH2 has had bugs since PS4 and square just refuses to fix them. Also the "120FPS" support is just terrible in PC. The old games run it super weird, it feels very bad with how they implemented it.
KH3 has certain animations that aren't properly adjusted for framerates higher than 60 (making a boss like Yozora substantially harder). There's a bug by using Japanese voices you can't unlock oblivion in KH3.
It's kind of amazing how buggy these releases are and their top priority is the graphics right now.
The most vocal part of the gaming community sadly only cares about graphics and 8K Ultra Ultra HD at 420 fps
Same thing happened sorta happened in ff7 rebirth.
There were bugs but tons of ppl kept crying about the graphics and were leaving bad reviews. Which made square post pone the first patch and focus on the graphics
kh refixed is a godsend

Am I the only one who would love a 'Sonic Underground' style animated series based around the Sly Cooper series would be awesome. Every episode they are planning, recon, or performing the heist. Could even stretch it out and really flesh out some backstory with orphanage episodes. Quality of animation would be akin to the syndicated cartoon days of the 90's

what they really need to do is release an app for the ps5 that allows you to put in your ps2 disc to play ps2 games so people don't have to rely on a subscription or repurchasing something they already own
Sony really dropped the ball with backwards compatibility two gens in a row.
They can't just do that with an app. It requires actual hardware.
@DaShikuXI no? It need hardware strong enough to run the games which it has, the rest is all software. The simple fact that they have brought some ps2 games to the curent gen without remaking them shows it's more than capable. Also emulators work perfectly fine on pc without custom hardware. Set the thing up and stick in the disc and it works no worries. Adding a program to the ps5 that allows compatibility with ps2 discs is definitely possible without new hardware
So the pre-registration is next week, one day before my birthday on june 4th. Square is cooking the turkey very well this time

I think the reason why North America wasn't part of the beta test is because the whole mobile infrastructure over there is good enough for the developers to infer that, if the game works as well as it does in the UK, Australia and Japan, the US and Canada are good to go.

Maybe there is hope that the compatibility issues with RX 7000 GPUs will be fixed now. This was the main issue, why I never finished my KH1 playthrough on PC. I wanted to grind a few things before Ansem and yeah... currently any instance of opening a pause menu or a save menu is a 50/50 chance of killing my game. Needless to say, you don't want to grind levels, etc. with odds like this.
Hope that the epic version will also get the steamdeck compatibility improvements for those of us that bought it on a sale a while ago.
Unfortunately despite being classed as PS2 games, it doesn't necessarily mean it will be the PS2 version. God of War 1 and 2 are listed in the PS2 section, but are actually just cloud versions of the PS3 collection
The FFX/X-2 PS2 versions, that had the BETTER high-res faces, hopefully gets added some day as a PS2 classic..

As much as it’s great for Epic version to update the graphics on the Kingdom Hearts series, we still have problems with it such as bugs (KH2 crash), Must play via Wi-FI, and lack of Cloud Saving. Still mad on that part.

I'm happy Sly is finally somehow relevant again, but I hope it gets more support than ps2 emulation only. I would have loved a native port of the HD Trilogy on ps5 and PC, for example. But better than nothing

It's crazy to think that it's been 11 years since Sly 4. Sly is one of the IPs that made the PS2 into the most successful console ever, and somehow the series has just been entirely forgotten. Same goes for Jak & Daxter. I remember when they were called the PlayStation Heroes, and now they haven't been seen for an entire generation. At least Ratchet and Clank weren't abandoned as a part of that.
Maybe Sony is finally starting to realize why the PS5 isn't exactly selling like hot cakes.

The sly game is pretty insane to believe as the collection game wasn't 100% stable for all 3 sly games, but if they're doing this then maybe we'll get them all like how they were originally, and not messed with to some extent, kinda like how they did the frontiers jak game, not the ps2 version as it wasn't the best version of it, even though it did have a game breaking bug at first, but I'm actually more excited about the clone wars game IF it's the one I'm thinking of, I used to play a game cube star wars game based around the clone wars and it was primarily you going through the maps in different vehicles with very few times you had to run around on foot, wasn't the best game but it wasn't the worst either, lol, it even had a vs mode too.
If Sly Cooper is getting a potentiol PS5 port, I wonder if Ratchet & Clank could get the same treatment in the future.
I can find ways to play the entire series on emulators regardless, it would still be good news to bring them on modern consoles and possibly for PC too, after all 'Rift Aprat' did had a PC release later.

Genuine question: Why would you play Sly Cooper as PS2 Classic instead of the HD trilogy that came out on the PS3? I bought some PS2 games from the PS store and the emulation is really bad.
The emulator they use for PS3 games is terribleeee. In this specific case, they are much better off giving us the ps2 version (which we will be able to upscale the resolution and have stable gameplay) versus doing the ps3 version and having it be locked to 720P and stuck using that bunk emulator.
@@danquaza9275 I used to play the Ratchet and Clank HD collection on the PS3 and that was completely fine and ran perfectly. Maybe it's different for Sly Cooper idk. But I do know, that the PS2 Emulator is really bad. Every PS2 game I bought from the store has terrible framerate / performance that makes it completely unplayable.

I'm really hoping they let you buy Sly Cooper and The Thieveius Raccounus separately. I really think it be awesome to play all the Sly games on the PS5, without needing to subscribe to PlayStation Plus. Same goes for the classic Ratchet games too. They all deserve to be played natively on the PS5, without needing the use of cloud gaming.

You know what's sad. Is that we will all happily spend another $180 on all 3 games(I know there's more I'm just consolidating it) for the 89th time...who's also done this with the FF games? Cause I swear I've bought 7,8,9,10,12 and 15 multiple times at this point...I bought the original 7 for ps4 and then the remake for ps4 then when it released on steam I bought both copies again and will be doing the same with rebirth even though I already own it on ps5😂😅😅
Why's everyone acting like PS2 games have never been on PS4/PS5 before? We literally have gotten PS1, PS2, and PSP games on the store. Now we have even more but this isn't anything new
Because the original program on PS4 back in 2015 was incredibly short lived, and we've only gotten a handful of PS2 games. What's more, on PS5 most of those have some major graphical glitches wich basically makes them unplayable. With the new classics line-up starting in 2022, any PS2 games that were grouped in to that until now were actually just previously released remasters, not the originals.
I mean they took them down and put it on a more expensive tier subscription
@@leonbabic7185 Jak and Daxter games on the store were the originals running on crappy emulator that had issues. Ran better on PS5. In that instance I and many other fans would've actually preferred the PS3 remaster collection

@@Notactiveatalllll they didn't. What do you mean? Afaik Nothing was taken down except the GTA games, those were delisted by rockstar. And even if some of them were delisted, they didn't put them behind the subscribtion, you can buy almost all the new classic titles seperately (unlike what Nintendo does).

It's like people just forget that the PS3 saw Sly, Jak and Ratchet all get HD trilogy releases. They weren't just up-rezed they had new texture packs and higher frame rates. To this day the PS3 jak & Daxter looks cleaner than the Emulated PS4 version. Maybe next time, keep your old consoles people. Not to mention that if you have ever bought PS1 PSP and PS2 games in the past. You will get the "new" ps5/4 versions for free. Because those still use the same serial codes for all their legacy titles. Sony don't tell you this, so you buy into their subscription. 😅
I think the PS3 versions of those games also introduced brand new bugs that weren't in the original PS2 releases though. Like how in Sly 1, the boss fight against Ms. Ruby is out of sync and in Jak 2 where your punches may point in a direction you didn't intend to.
The unfortunate thing is that those HD trilogy releases suffer from numerous visual and/or audio issues that kinda dampen the experience, with Jak and Daxter being the only ones who came out mostly unscathed. I'd take an emulated version over a half-assed "remaster" that couldn't even be bothered to scale the UI for widescreen anyday.
Very good points. I guess my issue then, is the lack of physical versions of the PS4/5 releases. Put them on some discs and I'll concede that they're the better options over the PS3.
