Man I miss watching these races, the points made sense, there was actual racing to watch.. No pissin and moaning, cautions when they needed them,no wrecking one another every lap..man how good NASCAR used to be🇺🇸
Thanks for sharing the entire thing so fans of the other drivers that did so well this year can also relive their heroic efforts, Jeff wasn't the only one had a great 1997 performance
you probably dont care but if you're stoned like me atm you can watch all of the new movies on Instaflixxer. Have been streaming with my brother during the lockdown :)
I agree. Bahari Racing had a great year as well. Wish they would've been able to keep Johnny Benson; I think his and the team's fortunes would've been different had he not left, but Johnny still had a very nice career in Cup and a great career in Trucks.
21:05 It still boggles my mind that Jeff Gordon never did the Memorial Day double in his entire career. Gordon very well could've not only won both the Indy 500 and the Coke 600, but he could've done it more than once, especially during his peak in the late 1990's.
@@Nfulks96 It was just different. The rules were not quite as tight. You had at least a couple races a year that had unexpected winners. The cars were not as bulletproof as they are today. There were a lot of Sunday's where the dominant car did not finish. The races had natural drama. Not the created drama of today. I really miss it.
16:52 - I love how Rusty spoke about the bump n run at Bristol. What a legend. 51:54 - that's a poor effort on the Roush name. *youtube spelling and grammar police in the building"
1997 what's the magical year for Jeff Gordon with 10 wins Chevrolet Monte Carlo was excited Bill Elliott with 0 wins Ford Thunderbird was our last farewell in NASCAR Winston Cup Series history

@Phoenix James yea, I have been watching on Instaflixxer for years myself :)
Just realized they called Jeff Burtons wife, Kim, Linda during the highlights of his win at Texas lol
My childhood! Thank you for uploading this!
I literally love this! Thank you. Please post more that are available. Old episodes of RPM 2Tonight and other racing series would be awesome to.
Jeff and the Rainbow Warriors set the tone with those first 2 wins. Mark and Dale gave him a good run for his money but they weren’t gonna be denied
FINALLY!!!! This video has come!!!! Thank you so much for uploading this!!!!
YESSSSS!!!! Thank you so much! I have this on VHS but I don't have a player to watch. Thank you so so much!!
Awesome stuff, had the VHS but it was bad (not playable) after 2 views.
Thank you! You deserve an attaboy for posting!!!
Now if good lord willing the 96 and 99 reviews appear 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
For a smaller team the Petty PE/PE2 cars were impressive in 1997.

were the paint schemes much more colorful back then or were the colors saturated a bit on tv
Random 1993 footage of Dale and Jeff during the highlights package for the fall Charlotte race lol
Frankly, the crash of Steve Grissom, is impressive when same !

Loads of similarities between 1997 and 2018.
Where exactly??
Big 3 dominate a season

The Exide car wins the Interstate Batteries 400. Bet that annoyed some folks.

Does anyone know who the narrator is? He’s got an awesome voice.
Dale Dobach
Would you have these on DVD?
You have 96?
Does anyone have a 1999 Year in Review? Again, have that and '98 on VHS but like I said, no player to play it with.
I have 99 but when you try to record it the colors come out funny like trying to copy an old disney tape.
@@de31168 I understand! Just thank you for your hard work and uploading this one!
