Love your headache rack dude. Also love your channel, content and most importantly your attitude. In a world of generation whatever where it’s hard to find people willing to work you sir are a pleasant surprise.
!Great idea!!! only concern I would have is corrosion issues to the reel/hose swivel unit, and mud/dust fouling up the quick connections. But I like the concept a lot! Stay safe my brother!
D: Consider lining the bottom of your cabinets with neoprene rubber mats to cushion your torches and other $$$ gear from being thrown around as you drive.
@Derbador the weldor Love the videos! A couple of things you might consider: Only open acetylene valve 1/2 to 1 turn- in case of fire you can turn off fast and mount an extinguisher nearby also. Peace Brother.
I tossed my reel like that in the trash lol... short story my helper stepped on the line wile I was cutting and it happen to be enough to disengage the ratchet pulling the torch from my hands and there goes a lit torch across the ground headed for my rig... be careful lol
Good idea i like it. Good video and i have one of the evaluations skill saws i use myself . In one of my videos im cutting aluminum plate with it. Stay safe and take care.
Is that hose assembly coming from the tank statically isolated. Just something to think about there should be rubber behind that torch lead. Protecting it from the truck frame. And since you have it mounted that way make sure you please drain those lines. before you drive if you have a frictional incident kaboom
Great idea use what space you got still you got the bed for other things even here in L.A. its slow trying to work and be safe keeping distance all good stay safe yourself too
Looking at buying a hobart champion elite and ive only seen the sellers say it does tig but never went anyfurther in explaining the tig side, does this machine tig? If so, is it by hooking up another machine to it or it has the gas input and connections on the machine?
You can hook another welder into it. But what they mean is you can use a scratch start rig where a gas valve is in your torch handle and all you get from the machine is power
Excellent use of space that you have left. And why not have 2 air hoses going to both sides of your truck. Just saying bro. Keep up the great work sir. Looking forward to seeing the next one
Get at it! Great progress

Check for leaks often since you running the hose under the carriage.
It might be an idea to box those reels in. Salt spray in winter and just wet roads will soon wreck them. Cool truck though!
Eventually I’ll box it in but down here in the south we don’t have salt on the road to worry about
@@derbadortheweldor8940 I wish we could say that here in the UK. Some parts of the US use a lot too. Take care young man!
How has this reel held up? I just mounted one to my rig and it kind of rattled. Do they rattle themselves apart or make it through it?

I actually never thought of that but the ratcheting on this one isn’t hard enough to rip it out of your hand if you’re holding onto it
@@derbadortheweldor8940 ya this one pulled pretty good... I'm kinda light handed when cutting circles. Keep it up 👍🏻
Dude that is such a cool welding rig I love the truck!
