- The Dye DSR+ is is a marker that could quite possible be the "pound-for-pound" best in paintball. It is incredibly well rounded to include feature that usually only high-end markers have. Check this review and maintenance video out if you're considering the Dye DSR+!
Thank you for making an awesome marker! Looking forward to reviewing more of your products in the future.
For people with concerns about eye pipes, you can add an oring to the barrel back to prevent it from overtightening it and cracking the eyepipe. Been using this technique for years and have not had to replace an eyepipe in a long time.
Definitely a great tip but still blows my mind Dye didn't create more space between barrel and eye pipe after so many years.
I had a copper blk out sold it mistake before pro kit time. Bought another Dsr+ and it's fav. Lv2 is close 2nd. Dye did great on this
Thanks for the honest review.
Got my Dsr+ with the IM pro kit a few weeks ago and it’s a really great marker. Fun to shoot and really consistent
The DSR+ is a phenomenal marker. Punches above it's weight class and holds its own. Don't know why someone would care about how it's milled and what type of metal it's from, there's a difference between a technical sheet and an actual review. What's on paper doesn't mean much of anything in real world applications.
I love the DSR line of markers just because of the grip and foregrip. It is possibly one of the top three most comfortable markers in my hands while playing and this thing can shoot some pretty tight ropes:-)
Gotta agree the DSR+ ergos are 10/10
When the mech frame came out this is the reason I stopped playing with my autococker after shooting the same cocker for 5+ years.
Got my Misfits PGA Camo last week and instantly fell in love. Easily the best marker I've shot.
I got the m3+ as well as the dsr+. As much as i love my m3, this dsr just out shoots it as far,as shot quality. It also out shoots my tm40. Closest shot would be my lv2 of all guns ..lol. good job dye!!!
I'm impatiently, patiently waiting for my Freeflow mechtrix order to come in. I really have liked when I tried some of my friend's DSR+ at the field but I like unique stuff and ordered one that will visually looked great next to my 2000 Freeflow Fulcrum autococker.
That thing is going to look and perform amazing! These markers definitely outperform their price tag.
You are gonna love the mechtrix when you get it in 2024.
@@XxJkatxX it's ok I'm sure my Adrenaline Shocker will carry the weight till then... Man I love that marker.
@@ThePBFit yea it's going to look awesome. Think modern creamsicle it's orange to clear to orange with a splash that does clear to orange to clear
Dsr+ is great. This made a mistake selling my black out copper pre prokit. Smooth efficiency.
Really like it too. Add the Mech frame and it’s special
I was really interested in the DSR+ after just getting back to the sport. But lately the M3+ is actually cheaper 🤦♂️ so that’s the route I went. Not sure yet if I made the right choice.
The dsr+ is great. I've since ditched the electronics and using only the mech frame.
Don’t blame you it’s really fun as a mech.
@@ThePBFit and a pain swapping out batteries. I've had to call out because I ran out of batteries during a point
Wonder if there is a way to grind down that bump. Would be a good video
Not sure, but the same thing happened when they CS2 mech frames were released. Which is why I actually like the 170R mech frame better. They have since fixed that issue with the CS3 mech frame.
OMG these dye dsr markers are ridiculous for real, the handling, the ultimate smoothness of shot, and the ridiculously tight groups that these things can send downfield are on par with the absolute most consistent highest end markers out there. Even besides that, I absolutely love the looks of them, and these are one of the only other markers that I would not mind using over my personal Bob long VIS which I absolutely love and have such a bias for that using any other marker feels cringy, so that says a lot from me about the Dye DSR/DSR+
i got a used dsr+ today. my initial thoughts is that i disagree with you on the frame. it feels thick and not a big fan of the hour glass
great review.... just subscribed
I appreciate the support! More to come.
Good review! The only thing I'm sketched out by is those eye pipes, I really don't like how they are a consumable part. Obviously try not to crank down on the barrel but still. If you had to pick between a DSR+ or a CS1.5/CSR, which would you go for? I am thinking about getting one of those two for the upcoming season.
The eyepipes are much better now and work well. My DM9 is still running on it's 3rd eye pipe after all this time, and it was just to update the detents. Put an oring on your barrel back and don't crank down on the barrel when screwing it in and you'll be good to go.
Thank you! Personally, I’d get the DSR+ and Ive owned a CSR. The eye pipe is a lot better than what it used to be and mine has tiny cracks because I crank down on the barrel too much out of habit. It still works fine tho. You’ll want the DSR+ be used it has the same SFR function as the CS1.5 & CSR and you can get a mech frame for it if you wanted to. Mech isn’t an option at all for the other two. Hope this helps!
Great advice. I always remove the oring and tend to crank down on the barrel before every point 🤣. Don’t be like me hahaha.
DSR is like the NT resurge
What colour is this marker? Nice vid 👍🏼🇳🇱
Thank you! This color is called “Dyecam”. It’s Dye Paintballs proprietary camouflage.
I have two of them.
Well, it's time to get a DSR now 😂
I guess if I can’t sell mine lol im picking up a mech frame!
Hahaha wouldn’t be a bad idea! It’s definitely one of the best markers you can get for the money. I’m blown away by the DSR+.
the dye dsr + is the best option if you dont have the money for a m3+
💯
That thing rips on Mech mode!
It’s an absolute beast of a mech marker man!
@@ThePBFit I can recall back in the day you had electronic markers that would be lucky to keep up with mech mode on this thing haha!
do you recommend the shocker amp now is going for 750$ and i don’t want to spent more than that. ( but 170r, shocker amp and dye dsr are in like the same mid range price, i want your opinion on the shocker amp since is the cheaper one )
The Shocker AMP is an awesome marker. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the small foregrip because I have big hands. Other than that it is a fantastic shooter and super lightweight.
Would you pick this over a 180r?
I wish I could answer that question, but I haven't used a 180R yet. Hopefully soon!
Why don’t they put the shot in the dm’s
The DM is a “Matrix” based marker. Definitely different but the DMs still have a nice shot. I still think the Arc+ bolt is where it’s at though.
one reason i would never buy another dye marker and only one the EYEPIPE
eye pipe isnt even the bad part about it for me
*Promosm* 🌸
*Planet eclipse 180r has entered the chat *
I need to get my hands on one!
what kind of aluminum is it made of? how is it milled? how are the billets made? have you measured the barrel with calipers to make sure the bore size is within spec? all these "reviews" arent real reviews. youre just telling us your feelings on the gun. give us the RAW data and then the judging will begin.
Greet feedback! They aren’t my “feelings” on the marker. I’ve physically used it for months to generate my thoughts about the marker. Many reviewers never put in as many hours with a marker or product as I do. I think you’ve opened up a great opportunity for a “how it’s made” RUclips channel regarding paintball that someone can take on 👍🏼.
