tons of tears, I will always love the story behind this game. An epic videoludic masterpiece, a story of sacrifice and love against the ciclic suffer of life and death. This is Art, not just game, it speaks about what makes us human, and why we should never accept compromises in order to not betray our own heart.
Every time I walk into Zanarkand I literally make Tidus walk the entire run to the temple just to listen to the music and take in the atmosphere of it all. FFX will always be one of the greatest games ever made and in my opinion, Uematsu's finest work.
It is the finest piece of game ever made. When you don't want to leave, ever, that's when you know you have a game. Even all these years later it hits. I can't wait to play it again.
I wonder if these musicians will ever know what they're doing with these notes they're playing, with the music that scores our dreams, our hopes, and our lives.
I have been looking for a way to put my feelings when listening to those songs for the longest time, and you my friend, just hit the spot. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
When I first played this game I didn't have a memory card and Seymour always killed me. Even though I had to restart at the very beginning, I couldn't hate the game. I just knew I was going to get to enjoy the game even more. Everything was done right in this game. Battle system was perfect, music was and still is beyond anything else in the gaming industry, graphics for the day were unbelievable, and the story was enough to bring tears to my eyes. This is one of few games that gets a 100% 10/10 rating from me. Square knocked it out of the park with this one. I can only hope they do the same with 15. It looks like it's shaping up to be an incredible game.
Almost 15 years later and this still brings tears to my eyes. No other piece of music that I know encompasses both tragedy and triumph, love and loss, or sadness and hope so well.
This video seriously brings tears to my eyes every time I listen to it. It’s so beautifully orchestrated (no pun intended), very well played out and all the instruments just blend together so well. As someone who has a deep passion for music (I was in band/orchestra for 9 years total throughout school), this makes me so happy.
Dancing Max certainly has some wildly complex music! But Uematsu is best known for his almost unlimited capacity to write a perfect melody for any situation.
I have to say this one sounds ten times better in this form... such beauty in the form of emotion. You can feel the true power of it when you listen to an live action and truly played by instrument piece.
2017 Düsseldorf Second Row. I had tears in my eyes when they played this Song. This is a beautiful piece of Art. Thank You Nobuo Uematsu for your work.
If I ever need a good cry, I just listen to this. Gets me every damn time. When Yuna runs to him on the airship (and yes I know this theme isn't playing during that scene but this song always reminds me of the end), all the feels, man. All the fucking feels.
One of my best friends just recently went to a FF concert performed by Distant Worlds orchestra in St. Louis, MO, and she said To Zanarkand made her and many others attending the concert cry.
Every moment in this song we have all rode through... the darker times in our lives in the underscore... the brighter times in the upper. The journey we are all on is summed up in this amazing masterpiece.
I bought my daughter tickets to the 1 March 2024 performance at Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C., and we just got back home an hour ago. This was an absolute masterful performance with some of the most talented musicians around today. I think any of them could easily play for the London or San Francisco Symphony Orchestras - they’re really *that* good. Unfortunately it appears as if they no longer upload to RUclips, which is a shame; however, should someone who is thinking about going to a show see this comment let me encourage you to go buy tickets right now. Do not wait. We had such a great time that I now wish I would have bought tickets for the 2 March performance and just got a hotel room in D.C. so we could have watched both! It’s absolutely worth your hard-earned money. If you have the opportunity to go, don’t let it slip from your grasp!
Still fighting with my tears everytime i hear this masterpiece when depression keeps destroying your life over and over again. A masterpiece. ,,Listen to my story, this may be our last chance."
Hang on. You are not alone in this world. And even if you will see no way out of every shit in this world there is always a bright Shine and the End of a dark cold forest. That Shine is called Hope.
at that time when I finally learn the truth, gives me sadness every time I hear this song, I learn the pain of loosing someone thru ff7 and now this......
I want this song to play on my funeral. FFX is a game that mean so much to me that I can't even express in writing I played it as a kid, I played it has a teenager and I played it now it never gets old for me. The plot, the characters, the music, the gameplay for me is the best JRPG of all times and probably one of the best games ever made. Every theme on this game is just epic
The undertone of the real story when lined up against the musical score speaks volumes. The fact that this was the song as we took our death March towards yunalesca. The song itself is underscored with the sad part of the tail in the quieter instruments. And of course they know the music they are playing.
Although I've never played Final Fantasy, I love this piece. I was listening to the music while my sons & daughter were playing the games many many years ago. I still play the To Zanarkand & Suteki dane on the piano, remembering our buzy but happy days where children were small.
"listen to my story, this may be our last chance" this could aswell be the score for the past 2 years and years to come with whats going on in the world

I'm quoting you in one of my first videos, just so you know. Beautifully put, and sums up my fascination with music and the orchestra in particular.
They know very well, they are there playing this music because they were affected in the same way by musicians before them.
Robbie Rodgers I agree. As a former band member/orchestrist, I’d love to play this music. ❤️
