That fried chicken shop owner was very nice, she wanted her son to have something he enjoyed eating and it led to a business and that’s really wholesome to me. Hopefully she’ll have many more years of success creating fantastic fried chicken!

Ricky's is the bomb spot. Especially since its around the corner from my job. So every Thursday and Friday I go there for lunch.
My only concern is that it’ll get even busier and the lines will wrap around the building now that it has Mikeys stamp of approval!
@@seanlee4294 it always busy. When I first went, I made it just in time before the line got long. Plus they knock your order out fast. In and out like 5 minutes or so. But they do close a 2pm and open back at 4pm.

OMG, that clay-pot had my mouth watering. The chicken, crispy rice, corn and cheese is divine.
We live right down the street from LA Burger & Bulldog Katsu. We LOVE both of them. We get katsu to go about once a week. They have a curry bento box that is great and around $10. Totally worth it. We haven't tried the Pho place yet but based on the recommendation we'll have to check it out. Wish I would have been able to see Mike during his visit.

I LOVE the bokksu box. At first i only had the tokyo treat box but they tend to send the same treats every month with a little variation. Bokksu does not do that at all, it really feels like traditional japanese snacks, new every month :)

Pro Tip, instead of using flour for the fried chicken batter, try to use corn flour or rice flour as the base. Put some curry powder, onion and garlic powder and basic seasoning. BOOM!

Mikes chicken is owned by the same family that owns the laundromat next door. They are a favorite of the African American community in Dallas. My only gripe is the wait time, around 30 min, so order ahead!
