    Hey Chanel 😀,
I really loved hearing your story. You are a strong-minded woman, and I was diagnosed with colitis at the age of 17. Now I am 23, I work out daily, and I can eat pretty much anything. I am on no medication; I only take an iron supplement, a multivitamin, and vitamin D3.
My first exposure to healing colitis was when I watched Kenny Honnas' video, where he shows how he cured colitis. It inspired me. He also has a 10-part boot camp series. I tried incorporating kefir, fermented veggies, a blueberry smoothie with L-glutamine, an adequate amount of protein, and fiber daily, especially soluble fiber. I have a blueberry, banana smoothie with kefir every morning. For the rest of the day, I try to have a probiotic like kefir or fermented veggies with some prebiotic, which could be a fruit and rest of my meal, I eat pretty much anything.
If you have a bad flare-up, try to keep it simple with kefir, boiled squash, chicken, fermented veggies, bone broth, and vegetable soup. You could also check out Mr. Jordan Rubin, who was diagnosed with Crohn's and has been living a healthy life. He's also the author of several books, especially on how to beat Crohn's and colitis.
Keep trying and making adjustments, and I pray from the bottom of my heart that you stay healthy.
    Thank you,
    Harry

I once asked my gastroenterologist if he ever prescribed hyperbaric oxygen treatments to his patients. My gastroenterologist said that sometimes he prescribes hyperbaric oxygen treatments to Chrohn's patients who have fistulas. But the results are mixed and often disappointing. -I tried 12 hyperbaric oxygen treatments during a recent ulcerative colitis flare. The treatments reduced my symptoms, but they didn't get me out of a flare. (Prednisone pills + mesalamine enemas got me out of the flare.) I bet that combining hyperbaric oxygen treatments with additional medicines could be very helpful. Also, in my case, Inflectra has been fantastic. -I'm glad you're living a good life despite your setbacks!

That's very interesting, i've never heard of that!! Definitely something i'd be willing to try if it was available to me.

@@CCCC-TV Yes, I think you should look into hyperbaric oxygen treatments. 2 atm of pressure is the same pressure as if you're 33 ft under water. Hemoglobin can only absorb so much oxygen. But under 2atm of pressure, oxygen is forced into your blood plasma. This oxygen travels throughout your body and enhances wound healing. In our case, we have wounded colons. -The next time I see my gastroenterologist, I intend to ask him if there are any clinical trials that use hyperbaric oxygen as part of a maintenance protocol. I would eventually like to wean myself off of inflectra because I'm a little concerned about the long term increase in cancer risks. Hyperbaric oxygen treatments, on the other hand, are very safe. Anyway, good luck! Take care!

@@TreeOfWisdom2 nope! 🤷as a pediatric patient I grew up really only taking guidance from Western medication focused teams. In my adult life, plant medicine and alternative eastern medications are things that I have started to look further into and explore with. My journey is still going! I appreciate the tip :)

Another tip: daily vegetable broth from a slow cooker, bye bye disease. Don:t forget your daily wormwood tea.

Oh and combine as much as you can with cinnamon, cloves and ginger.
