Great vlog Billy, and YES, keep them coming. I'm considering buying two Mini 2's, one for my son and one for me. I like this for my son's first drone due to it's simplicity for the novice and the fact it doesn't have to be registered w/ the FAA. This will be my 6th DJI drone (yes I am licensed) and I love my M2Pro, but I like the Mini 2 for it's size when traveling. I pack a 17" laptop, photo equip, and a drone when I travel and the size & features of this one is very appealing. More quick tips would be welcome.

Good stuff. I was going to request the RTH info and the Gimbal settings. I'm still trying to master flying up and over an object while keeping it in the frame with the gimbal moving down.
Have you experienced the sudden Gimble movement in windy situations ? I have seen lots of videos people having problems or the travelling distance is far less than advertised . Will these be fixed by firmware or hardware limitations ?
Higher speed = higher wind resistance and higher energy usage over a given range. If you had gone faster, you may have killed your battery and fallen into the river before it could have gotten all the way back to you. ✌😎
@@rzu7120 Once Hover is engaged due to signal lost the drone will continue to hover until the signal is regained OR the battery reaches critical. If the battery reaches critical it will begin to land.

Very Helpful. Thanks! A question about RTH altitude. It is relative to the home spot altitude, right? If my RTH altitude is set to 100 feet and I fly over a cliff and down 50 feet and then hit RTH, the drone will ascend 150 feet from its current position, not 100 feet. Do I have this right?
thanks for tips, they're all helpful, but I don't fully get the power limiting issue. Given that you only had 2% battery left after landing, it's fair to assume that without limiting the max speed earlier, the drone simply wouldn't have made it back. Flying faster instead of slowing down and covering the same distance will never leave you with more power in the battery at the end. That's not possible. Just like driving your car (or train, ship, submarine, plane, spacecraft) faster, to shorten the journey time won't result in fuel-saving of course.

Hey, how come your gimbal settings can be set different values than my Mini 2, when I see the Yaw rotation speed I can go to value 250 and you have it set to 20. Then the Yaw smoothness is with you at value 50 where I only get to a max value of 30?

Just got the Mini 2 and going through the setting as your video progresses along. Yaw smoothness for normal mode on the Mini 2 appears to only go up to 30, and you show 50 in your graphic. Am I looking at the wrong spot?

I'm testing your advanced gimbal settings but it's quit weird thing the Normal ,Sport, Cine yaw smoothness in your settings has a max of 100 and you choose 50 mine has only a max of 30? so I set it up to 15 only why is that?

I never knew this drop in speed happens until I heard it here. I'll treat the battery as a 90% battery and forget the last 10%, when the speed drops, just for safety sake as I do not want to lose my drone. So I'll be nearly landed before the last 10% comes into play. Personally I do not like this feature at all! Not a great idea DJI!

With the propellers I'm happy to see that the screws are silver and not black it makes them easier to see when changing the propellers.

If you set the lost signal action to “hover”, will it return to home when the battery level becomes low?
Yes. I will only hover if you lose signal

When controller on the move will it return to the controller rather than take-off point?
No, it will return to the home point set. You can reset the home point, though.

Sport mode is very wasteful. Per mile, flying in normal mode would get you further which is why DJI forces it when the battery level is critical.
Lowering the power would not be a good idea in a head wind !
