Not true at all. He completely lost his voice around 2006. He has been working on his head voice for a while now, and it actually sounds acceptable now, but its nothing like his old voice.
He sings completely from his throat and nose now. He blew his voice out in the early 2000’s and he’s never been the same since. Even on fuels last album with him he lost that raspy ness he had
@@scottskinner577 I’m surprised he can still even sing, look bad at old videos dudes always sang with mad tension, I’m sure he can still do the raspy shit it’s just terrible how he did it.
@@cameronpowell8756 yeah I mean all these dude commenting how good he still is, I'm like what did you watch? Because what I watched he looked like he was on the last show of a looooooong tour AT BEST. Vocally fatigued, if not vocally Shot. And I'm sad to say that but it's true.
Brett’s still so extra gorgeous but yet he’s sooooo underrated. Still has an amazing voice given the amount of time he’s been putting it under a lot of pressure .
He came to michigan on this tour. It was a small venue, outside , all day event with a bunch of bands. It was literally downtown and the stage was on main street. Very low key event. After he was done, i was able to just go to the side of the stage and meet him. Me and my wife both got pictures with him, and off he went into the darknparking lot and dissappeared to a bus maybe... One of my best experiences ever in my life.
The more I watch this the better he sounds you guys are wrong I’m a singer he isn’t losing it he’s preserving his voice by not singing it as raspy most of you could never sound as good as Brett sound now I applaud him
Yeah if he continued to do that raspy voice, it would've harmed his vocal ability. Charly Garcia is a good example, he had a REALLY raspy voice in the 80s and 90s but he strained it so much that he kinda sounds like someone who didn't drink water before a gig now
So he labored that badly to Preserve his voice? Idk man I think he's been washed up for years. Much as I hate to say it. One of his band mates said as much in the early 2000s. Who knows
So glad he's still out there doing this. His voice has changed some, but so much compression and strain on his voice when he was younger. He still rocked it.
That singing style goes so fast. The energy that he has though will never die and he goes to show it. Nobody will ever sound like him, and even if they did there is no way they could keep it for years.
Wonder how many times those pipes have been operated on. Years ago he blew them out and had to go for surgery! He sounds great here though. He has really strained his poor voice during the years!
God I remember this day! Before Covid I just walked over from seeing Filter waited all day down at the white stage for Greek Fire and Pod(worth it) and seeing seether Fuel and Live to finish it off! It was like I was kid back in the 2000s again.
For those that don't know Brett had a on stage collision many years ago with a band mate that broke his nose and required surgery for a deviated septum which changed his voice drastically, he has recovered pretty remarkably...his nose looks different too if you didn't see the visual difference as well
Me too it was my first big lesson in picking 🤘 No matter how many times I laid guitar down and got rusty over the years, I could always pick it back in a few minutes. Like riding a bike. Brett makes it look easy
Not saying you're wrong,, but bands usually speed up (certain) songs to help the singers. And I gotta be honest, Brett looks like he's struggling to me
I seen them in Japan the following month. Brett's voice has changed some but still sounds good. Performance of the band is what really makes a concert and they pulled it off.
Love the Detroit shirt on the drummer. Seeings I live in Michigan. I won't say much for that criminalized Detroit though. You could not pay me to live in that city!!!!!!!!!!
Um...no. Kurt Cobain was a vocalist, not a singer and he would never have been able to touch something like this and his voice would have never improved to this level. Kurt wasn't the greatest live singer.
Pretty sure Brett by now is at the point that he is singing to preserve his voice. He's doing what singers usually have to do as they get older, his voice is still there. But he is singing with a different tone, put less strain on his chords.
Mustang_Chick yeah... He is still a great singer. It sucks getting older. We see our heroes fall. Our idols pass. Our body’s change and truth be told, I honestly auditioned for the band when he left. Seen him a time or two live since he’s taken out his version of FUEL on the road etc. always been a fan of his. Always will be!
LOL I could not stop looking at him..and furthermore, the song was speeding up..idk if they did that on purpose or if the drummer couldn't keep time right.
How can he still be sounding this good after all these years? He's been screaming his balls off for 25+ years. Incredible!
Right. Still kicking ass!
Head voice, not from the center
32 years to be exact. He still sounds amazing
Lmao because he's clearly spitting on the souls of the innocent, and satan can't do anything but think 🤔 "that's badass ass hell"
He is looking older and why are his eyes not so blue as they were in the video? lol He is still great however
He was and always will be the reason for their success. Dude is a born rock star.
Brett is so underrated
Agreed
If you go back and listen to older live videos he mostly sounded just like this. I'm happy for him. Looks good.
That's actually true. I noticed that too.
Not true at all. He completely lost his voice around 2006. He has been working on his head voice for a while now, and it actually sounds acceptable now, but its nothing like his old voice.
Wow
He sounds higher than he did in the 90’s
He sings completely from his throat and nose now. He blew his voice out in the early 2000’s and he’s never been the same since. Even on fuels last album with him he lost that raspy ness he had
Both still can sing!
Was the 90,s best decade for rock? # 1 full of pure emotion!
2024 and I have not heard music like this since this!!!
Cant sing that way forever. Still sounds great and respect for his giving it all he has.
i saw them in 2004 amd ive never seen a man sing with as much passion as he does. its flipping amazinf
One of those voices that don't degrade despite going all out everytime
His gravel is gone. Did you not notice that?

its his heart that he gonna blow , borderline roid rage just to sing that one well
Brett’s still so extra gorgeous but yet he’s sooooo underrated. Still has an amazing voice given the amount of time he’s been putting it under a lot of pressure .
Still kicking the shit out of it 20 years later ❤️
He's so nice in real life too, good friend of my dad....

Still lusting since 1998!!!

He is singing almost entirely in head voice.... which is all he's got now.
There was a whole disinformation campaign when they dropped Brett. They didn’t want to give the real reason.
So he labored that badly to Preserve his voice? Idk man I think he's been washed up for years. Much as I hate to say it. One of his band mates said as much in the early 2000s. Who knows
Well said and so true!!! He knows about blowing those pipes out and surgery!
So glad he's still out there doing this. His voice has changed some, but so much compression and strain on his voice when he was younger. He still rocked it.
this is one of the most difficult songs that requires alot more energy to sing
Try singing Dream On
@@everychannel1025 Easy, try singing Stargazer
Its really not that difficult. Its the way he pronounces his vowels Granted for 25+ years. That is impressive
literally boarder line roid rage to say the least
That singing style goes so fast. The energy that he has though will never die and he goes to show it. Nobody will ever sound like him, and even if they did there is no way they could keep it for years.
Facst his voice is so unique i cant beleive how they sound after all these years
Wow, always loved Fuel. Goes back to my college days 😊
This guy can do this for another twenty years. Great song and seriously killer vocals!
Wonder how many times those pipes have been operated on. Years ago he blew them out and had to go for surgery! He sounds great here though. He has really strained his poor voice during the years!
Brett, u sound great, buddy! Reunion tour with og fuel!!!
I feel exhausted for him. But he still sounds great!
He still sounds great!! Respect!! 🤘😎
I remember singing this song at the top of my lungs
Muito bom,nostalgia total,linda voz sempre,🤘🎶🇧🇷❤️
Still one of the best vocalists out there imo
Top 10 favorite bands ever 💪🙏💿🎸

Still sounds fantastic. Hard to believe it's been well over 20 years since this single hit the scene.
He sounds great y'all. Great work Brett!
he gonna turn green one day singing that one , we wont like him if hes angry
Still rocking!
God I love this song…still gives me chills…try listening to running & you’ll be flying
For those that don't know Brett had a on stage collision many years ago with a band mate that broke his nose and required surgery for a deviated septum which changed his voice drastically, he has recovered pretty remarkably...his nose looks different too if you didn't see the visual difference as well
I love playing this on acoustic
Me too it was my first big lesson in picking 🤘 No matter how many times I laid guitar down and got rusty over the years, I could always pick it back in a few minutes. Like riding a bike. Brett makes it look easy
Loved y'all then and still do 🫶
The drummer looked pumped to be there
He needs to drop this drummer. Dude rushes so bad.
Really? Seems pretty normal to me
I noticed as soon as he came in full. Once you hear it, you can't un-hear it
Not saying you're wrong,, but bands usually speed up (certain) songs to help the singers. And I gotta be honest, Brett looks like he's struggling to me
Same exact first thought. He came in like a bat out of hell and the rest of the band is rushing to keep up.
I agree he was terrible
Me fascina su voz
💖💖😍😍❤️❤️
Still fuckin got it. One of my fucking fav 90s voices
The man.
Chills throughout.
Still sounds great
man! i really love how he plays!
Dude is giving it his all and sounds great
The drummer is having timing issues, but, the singer is still killing it.
Thank you. I was wondering why this sounded so terribly off to me
you are high
No he isn't
timing and feel
A bit too fast.
"Yea" lmao
great song, can’t believe he sounds this good after all of these years.
timeless
LOve this! Fuel.
Thanks for posting this! I love it! Great song, stellar performance and such a clear video. ❤
Omg I wish I’d been there 🥹💕💭
Damn! He sounds good!
The best version of this song is on VH1 storytellers. Brett is a great singer.
the drummer looks like he's trying to stave off a migraine. I feel you, bro!
Fuel the best band rock
he is fuel himself
Brett IS Fuel!
I seen them in Japan the following month. Brett's voice has changed some but still sounds good. Performance of the band is what really makes a concert and they pulled it off.
Drummer does not look like he’s having a good time lol
He's like, man I gotta play that dam song again?
I feel like a jukebox
I was thinking the same thing😂
He's also rushing the rest of the band
Looks like he’s about to shit himself
seems like hes in a hurry to go to the c.r😂
What’s Stevie Richards doing on the drums?!
I think it sounds better now, its raw and they sound like they have a soul.
Finally gave up on the extreme *hair bleaching* so that's good...
Love the Detroit shirt on the drummer. Seeings I live in Michigan. I won't say much for that criminalized Detroit though. You could not pay me to live in that city!!!!!!!!!!
This is a good example of how Kurt Cobains voice would have changed
Man! Who knows but I think you might be right 😩
Not even close, Kurt would sound very bad
Could be worse. You could always be the vocalist for Puddle of Mudd.
Um...no. Kurt Cobain was a vocalist, not a singer and he would never have been able to touch something like this and his voice would have never improved to this level. Kurt wasn't the greatest live singer.
@@chriskomporozos4385 Exactly.
Duck iti feel old seeing how long ago this song first came out
That was sweet!
Drummer looks like he about to throw up
drummer looks like he is hungover
Holy shit his voice is still in tac
IS it just me or has his voice improved?
It has!
He starts out sounding VERY nasally, but he kills the ending! ♥ I was in love with this man my whole teenage life! 😂

Shawn Smith I hear it too. Less raspiness in order to save his voice.

Super !!! 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇺🇸
He’s lookin a little crispy, but he still sounds awesome 😎
It's real rock dude!""
48 sec in drummer b like I’m gonna hurl!
Good song! 👍
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Love him,but I miss Bell a lot
In the beginning the drummer’s burping and just looks like he wants to be anywhere but there.
James McAvoy in vocals 😂 Brett still got it.
The drummer missed the beat in the beginning saved himself
Wrong bass guitar note at 02:26 too 😳
Nice, Kid Rock on drums. Even has a Detroit shirt on lol.
Lost a little to age but shit, sounding pretty good. Towards the end he was starting to really warm up too. Yea he was getting in the groove
Hes only 52
1:53 that is tough
He's old enough to this song
Not bad Brett.
Had no idea Fuel was a two piece now
Eric Sandoval fuck does that mean? Do you wear a two piece?
@David Z just keeping it real brother
@@joshhey I'm sure he meant that the camera never panned out to the bassist and lead guitarist lol
Sounds great but man he was struggling on those higher octaves. He cannot carry the notes like he used too.
He wears dentures now btw.
@@ultimorphultimorph1385 what?!
🤯
Why didn't they pan to the guitarist during the solo?!!!?
Somebody invent a time machine
What’s up with all the spit?
Drummer is speeding up, slowing down, etc. He just doesn't care.
OK! I thought I was going crazy...LOL
The drummer…. I feel like he is the one to watch at the beginning!!!!!!
He looks miserable. Then he spits a loogie. Then he looks crazy nauseas.. .
LOL I could not stop looking at him..and furthermore, the song was speeding up..idk if they did that on purpose or if the drummer couldn't keep time right.
And I watched as you turned away. You don't remember but I do... You never even tried.
The drummer looks like hes about to cry and i feel kinda bad for him
The King Nicholasam2007 i wonder why
I think he was still able to pull it off
Def looks like he was going through something.
He probably hates performing with Brett.
He aged muscle waste but people still singing
There’s no way that’s the same drummer from the original group, the Luther guy was so buff
I still am 😉
Ew imagine being a stagehand changing the stage, picking up the cables and wires covered in Brett's spit?
He looks like he’s tired of the song, but seems to give it his all.
The drummer was playing way too fast, poor Brett couldn't catch his breath when he needed it.
Balk balk bawl ah all .
