Sorry, Kid, it was a great time to be alive!

It's incomplete
Hemorrague?
Kevin Miller is such an underrated drummer!!
Man... the energy he brought!
Really? What’s his rating?
Using underrated is overrated
I was on the Summer of 99 cruise recently. Creed was headlining but Fuel was also performing. Ended up meeting Carl Bell while we were hanging out and chatted with him and wife for about an hour. What really down-to-earth and nice guy he is. During their last concert on the cruise he dedicated Shimmer to me.
I remember this show like yesterday. Music fest 2001. I was in 5th row and saw myself in the clip.
Incrível!!!
I didn't see myself, but I wasn't far back from ya
They were such a tight band and their sound engineer was world-class.
Cuánto hubiera deseado estar en ese súper concierto ❤❤❤❤
I saw them March 17th 2001 in Fairfield, CT on this same tour. Brett wore the exact same outfit (or at least a yellow shirt, leather jacket/pants). My first real rock concert. Shit was badass! This was their prime for popularity. Still a huge fan!
I was at this show. Wasted. As hell. Had a blast 💥
They were *the* biggest band on radio/MTV at that moment, and just happened to play Musikfest (my boss did a heck of a job with the booking). Worked the backstage for those 2 nights (they filled in for Sheryl Crow who had to bail on one of the two nights). The drummer (Kevin) was a gem (absolutely sweet dude, humble and nice to everyone). Carl and Jeff were pretty chill. Brett was definitely in his own lead singer element and had an absolutely badass jacket. Great show.
One of the last bright flashes of the rock era
Totally under rated band……… I still rock out to Sunburn all the time………. Long live the 90’s 💪💪
Hey everyone! It’s the idiot with the so overused “underrated” comment!
Brett gave everything he had on stage!
Dude is singing his ass off. Just watched their first ever performance on Conan from '98 and they were damn near perfect. Not much different here, they just look like they had been nonstop touring since. Always a favorite..
This......THIS is Fuel
Fuel should've released a live DVD back in the day!
Man,the world has changed since 2001.
Probably because of the biggest terrorist attacker of all time.
In 2004 in England friend of mine on my birthday bought me ,,something like human" it was very expensive cd at that time - Costs about 17 pounds, i fall in love with this band after hearing this album, and now it is such a shame to hear Brett singing like... , well ,we are all know like what 😢
Anyway, this koncert was just amazing - should be on DVD
I was there. Such an awesome night! Still remember like it was yesterday!
I recently got into fuel, wish I could go back in time and go to this, wasn’t even alive then lol
Man I forgot how much energy Brett sang with back in the day. I had seen them live a bunch of times too. I'm just used to seeing him now. I guess age will do that to a man. Lol. Keep on kicking ass Brett. Been a fan for 24 years.
Deviated Septum played a huge role in it.
It has nothing to do with age it has to do with the fact that he was forced to sing with a deviated septum because coral bell who is the lead guitarist of fuel threaten to sue him if he took time off or fire him from the band entirely and it damaged his voice beyond repair. He was finally able to have the surgery he needed in 2004 after he finally got fed up and quit the band
He has a brand new album coming out in a few months and he sounds fucking amazing on it by the way
@@taylorh4480 Yeah he sounds worse now. It just isn't the same. Permanently damaged his voice..
It wasn’t a deviated septum lol it was from him being a firefighter and the smoke inhalation messed his voice up
Thanks for uploading a full professionally filmed Fuel concert. You're the first one to do that. It's great to see classic Fuel tearing it up and the audience giving it up. Cheers
I was there...remembering that the sound was great, the weather was beautiful, and it was just an awesome show! 💜
honestly for being on a VHS at one point in time this looks really good quality
Brett Scallions of Fuel reminds me of Wes Scantlin of Puddle Of Mudd sometimes :) both bands rock
With a lot stronger voice. Wes wasn't near Brett's level not even at his peak
Wes had better songs and a stronger voice imo
1:02:27 is something we will never see again :( Brett & Carl
😥 "Memories are just where [they left] them".
Never say never
Saw this tour at early November buzzfest in 01 at The Pavillion in The Woodlands TX....awesome show and the country was so united then....miss those days. Loved Carl on those freakin stilts so glad I found this video!!
1:12:19 Bittersweet
1:18:06 Bad Day
1:22:25 Hemorrhage (In My Hands)
Overall volume is low in this version, but what a great mix-job by this sound engineer!! And this band is studio tight at this time. Great recording.
1:05:17 Last time. Amazing song!!!
Kevin Miller kills it
One month before the world changed
...and 6 days
We were innocent.
They actually took Bad Day off the radio following the attacks.
One of the best (bands) musically to come out of the 90s and yes that’s a bold statement. I know I know Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, etc
Yikes. Their songwriting was good at times but nowhere close to Soundgarden or PJ.
You're kidding mate. They were awesome but;;;
LOL. Yes, I was kidding I was just trolling people. @@bigdude8654
Man Soundgarden and Pearl jam are garbage compared to fuel. I'm not gonna say anything about sound garden I personally liked audioslave better but all eddie did was cry in all their songs. Still doing it today
They were a beast
I was born 30 days after this
I have always loved Fuel. Brett's like a David Bowie and Kurt Cobain mix
This is GOLD!
Love it to the moon and back!
Always been one of my favorites. I remember seeing them with a crowd of 50 in a roller skating rink upstairs in Carlisle, Pa when they released their first 3 song EP, and not being able to jump or move because the floor might cave in.
First time I saw them was at a place just north of Long Branch New Jersey on the beach at a place that doesn't even exist anymore. They opened for Creed. Circa 1998ish. Good lord they were so good. I disagree with all the comments about their drummer. He ended up in cover bands in the Philly area, and leaves you with personal feelings. The rest of the band is so great though. It's a shame that Brett just killed his voice. I saw them half a dozen times more and the spitting up over his head to clear his throat got to be... well.. rough to watch.
Like the band Live though, they learned how to play live in Central PA.. Those bands endure and should always be respected for how the play on stage.
Incredible songwriting
She calls me from the cold....just when I was low feeling short of stable......
All that she intends..
@@Sasquatch10and all she keeps inside isn't on the label
Saw them on this same tour a few months later in North Andover, MA, and they blew our college kid faces off! Will always remember that show
Saw them at a Point fest or some festival in like 2017 ish. Damn. All of the other 10, 15 acts should have bowed. They weren't the closer( Fuel, I mean) I can't even remember who was. They were like the 3rd, or 4th til closing band. Every person, radio, newspaper, online entertainment site...all were like, Fuel was the highlight. The thing is, that was the band I was most wanting to see, and to be validated by the...well, everyone, was extra cool. Fuel was AWESOME!! I have always loved them though, growing up( high school days) in the 90's , they didn't get the fame and recognition they shoukd have. I am actually glad they didn't, or we would have cranked out tunes. Tunes made by money- makers..producers, managers,..ect
This was the perfect marriage.
These guys were going to be huge but just peaked super early it's sad.
Damn. This is amazing. Thank you for sharing.
Love it. Big thanks for the upload!
Badass
Empty Spaces: 1:00:57
20:50 A meditation of life, the best song :)
this version of mary pretends is so fucking good
Awesome!!!
What a great time ..I miss Brett..but Carl is the man!
Nope. Carl good guitarists but can't sing and is still trying to push their music with different ppl 25 years later 😂
What a showman Brett was. Damn you Carl and your insecure ego.
I haven’t even started to watch it yet cause I’m drunk and need to go to sleep, but if I ever had more of a reason to get up and start drinking again....
Lol, I'm literally watching this drink now
Damn ive never realized how much some of their music sounded just like STP
That’s one hell of an intro haha.
1:25:22 The walrus bleeding in Brett's hands
Waters edge is another good one.
In 2001 they were in the prime of their lives. Fast forward to 2023 and Brett is at a college playing in front of 40 clueless hockey fans. Sad
That jacket is badass
R.I.P Service Electric
Brett can't hit those higher notes even in this era. I'm just spoiled by the masterful album versions on SLH.
They had a HUGE Something Like Human tour. And this was towards the end of it. Around the time he killed his voice. But at the start of this tour and Sunburn era. He was singing just like the album. I still love the energy in this show.
BRETT♡
It starts at 2:47
48:26 Shimmer
I miss 4th member Kevin.
Kevin is back on drums but Brett left and now Carl Bell has the band back.
OMG
NO MORE BRETT IN FUEL 😖 OH WELL , HE WAS THE BEST SINGER FOR FUEL EVER 😇😍😌 MAYBE BRETT CAN SING FOR PUDDLE OF MUDD IN 2021
1:22:23 Hemorrhage
why is this croud so dead dammmm. amazing band!!!
I saw these guys back 3 times back in the day and Carl Bell never came out on stilts, wtf?
Yeh, I’m gonna do it.
20:54 Innocent
Service electric! Insuring that electrons move freely from one atom to another at 2 billion a second with little interference!
Hate when they broke up.
I'm getting an outrageous amount of ad's on this, very disappointing
Predator face at 22:42, the way his lips come up lol. Anyways, enjoyed the show, thanks
Verdade mesmo! Esse cara é muito talentoso e expressivo!!!
Ali G on lead guitar
Kevin kinda roxx 2! LOL
20:58 !

18:08 - Chris Line is trying to get into Robyn Miller's pants. She's not feeling it but. haha. Bit of a cringe moment haha.
Agreed, he comes across as "touchy"... That's putting it nicely
Is Carl wearing stilts? hahaha
I noticed Carl was walking taller :)
Epic band but lousy job on soundman this night. Awful.
There opening song wasn't that great
*Their
I’m a fan of this band but they didn’t play shimmer? What a bunch of caaantz
I know, right?!? But at least they played that song that sounds exactly like Shimmer at 48:27
@@davecarsley8773 LOL, savage. Have a like.
You must be deaf
Yeah man, only they did play it. Did you watch it?
@@gutterdandy9173 my bad :)
Takes a set of pipes and endurance to sing these songs 😂
