  • Here as apart of our m66 transmission swap, we are opting to replace all the clutch pedal springs before the pedal assembly goes into the car.

This is to push the pedal back out, but you're right, if you have proper clutch pressure through your hydraulic system, the pedal should push itself out...however, this would put undue stress and rely purely on the pressure to return the pedal, so I would for sure get that spring back in,

Yes. It is even harder to see when under the dashboard.

I dont know what to change on mye V50 2.0D. If i pump the clutch for 5-10 times it works normal. Sometimes the clutch doesn’t go all the way back to the top. And if I haven’t clutched for a few minutes the clutch is really soft and doesn’t engage (doesn’t let me change gears) what do you recommend?😅

we've been having a similar problem, we just acquired the motive force bleeder, and hoping that will work out any air, thats our best guess at this point,

Well, my spring is missing and that tan spring randomly popped off… it looks like my plastic part to put that spring into that hook hole is gone .. it must’ve broke idk . I can’t source a new clutch assembly

Local junkyard would be the cheats option. Removal is a beast but doable in an hour or so

I just ordered from the Volvo dealership, the part number 312 00942. I had to get a clutch pedal assembly from a junkyard cost me 125 bucks and this kit is 66. Mine broke off. I have a good question because me and the tech we’re going back-and-forth on what would be correct for my clutch and I have an aftermarket ex clutch stage one racing clutch and my car is modified. Did I make them right move by purchasing the shorter length spring?
I was only missing that shorter length, two prong spring that comes in the kit, but the spring that popped off of my clutch when it broke is brand new, and I’ll just reuse the old pin.
I have a 2008C30 T5 manual . He did say with my part number that I would require a different clutch spring but I’m not sure.he said

What simptoms do you have? Cause sometimes my pedal doesnt spring back all the way. It returns fine on the tension part but doesnt travel the rest of the way. Car engages gears fine as usual.

No symptoms. We just replaced because we had the pedal out. But the problem you mention is not the pedal. That is either the master, the throw out or the brake booster and we’ll documented on Swedespeed. Seems like many people have that issue with no real results. Guess work

@@moosedroppings i had a look and the top spring was missing. I put one there. Pain in the ass, had to improvise a tool to get the spring in place. I´m pretty much convinced that was the only issue, hope im right, don´t feel like droping the gearbox to replace the slave, as i know i would be spending the extra for a complete clutch as it would be stupid to get the gearbox in place without replacing those. Gearbox operation is normal and clutch engagement never changes, so im going to keep driving it for now.

@@mr2spyderchronicles287 oh yeah. A missing spring will do that. If the pedal just a weak just pump it fast a few times and it should regain pressure. If that happens you now you still have that bigger issue. Same here. All brand new slave and master and all the lines. We are thinking brake booster is the only component not new in our setup

@@moosedroppings pedal feels strong once you take the that initial slack. It will always return on that operation range, only on the "slack" range was i having intermittent hanging of the pedal. That missing spring was probalby to avoid that. these slave systems are a pain cause one needs to take the gearbox out. On my old BMW and the MR2 the slave is on the outside, its a 30min job to replace.
