I refuse to believe the bad ending is a real one. I dont care if im delusiunal, i just want peace with my heart
I think the post credits scene validates rise of p a lot more, they talk about going BACK for the arm, and considering it’s a set up for a sequel, it wouldn’t make sense for P to be a mindless slave to geppetto, but an actual human with a free will of his own.
You know this may actually hold water considering Paracelsus said "His arm" as if they KNEW who it belonged to. And it using its left hand, and left hands being considered evil could hint towards that godly being, being more sinister. Man theres so much juicy lore!
The thing about the ending is that it’s vague enough with what’s happened to the arm that any ending could work. It’s not like the arm just vanishes from existence if you don’t go for the bad ending. It most likely means that P will be a target of the Organization going forward as the arm is probably in P’s possession for safe keeping and the organization wants it back. As for the arm not being from a god thing. I do believe that it is from a God, or at least a being powerful enough to be considered a god based on belief, and that it’s hinted that Paracelsus and his organization were the humans given immortality by this god before it ended up perishing before the rest of humanity could become immortal. It’s also likely to be an Ergo God considering how tied it is to Ergo so if this being possessed a lot of Ergo power or control over Ergo, and Ergo is human lifespan/time/memories/souls then it would make sense for this being to possibly be the God of humans as we don’t see anywhere in-game where humans naturally control and manipulate Ergo save for Sophia (who I now think might be a potential reincarnation of this entity. Food for thought since not too much is known about how life, death, afterlife, and potential reincarnation works in the Lies of P universe) who’s a Ergo listener but even she seems to have her limits or at least never explored her full potential beyond some time manipulation and strengthening individuals through Ergo.
The post ending scene says they want the arm back.
Heres a reason why Simon Manus is even more closely tied to "The first man":
Fun fact, the name Manus is the etymological root of words like "Man" in english, and likely even "Manushya" in Hindi/Sanskrit. ALL of these words not only mean man/human being, but Manus is also a reference to the name of a primordial diety in some of the oldest religions known to have existed (the unnamed regilious beliefs of the Proto Indo Europeans). Manus was "The first man", who had to sacrifice his brother , the diety "Yemo" / "Yama" (who is sometimes said to be a giant) in order to create the land/ earth from his body and the water from his blood. It all gets complicated, mainly because Proto Indo European regius beliefs have to be reconstructed since no surviving texts exist. But yeah, this game uses real life lore and stories passed down over time not just from Carlo writing Pinocchio, but also based so much from the earliest stories humanity has ever passed down.

It was described in the book of pistris(which is the real name of Simon Manus) that you obtained during the game. Once there was a being from space that descended to earth. That being was immortal and wanted to share the immortality with human but failed and be shreded to many pieces,the arm of god is one of them. So there's an organization that wish to collect all the relic to revive the power of god and immortality. I think we could find more information in the sequel.

I've been feeling disturbed since unlocking the sinister, and outright creepy ending last night..and binge-watching your videos to gain an understanding of the story.
Finally..something to bring a little comfort to me after what I thought was the wrong ending.
I even developed a theory of my own.
It ties in with one of yours.
The future Carlos that are the Specters..are Carlos trying to redo their path..as in New Game +s.
Because I'm very amped to play again to bring about a happier ending.
SO essentially..I'll be a Specter that knows the future on the new playthrough.
I still believe the true ending is the happy one where you do not give your heart. Now, I did not play the other endings but I know of them. To me that one feels like it has the most buildup for the next game
Plus, most souls game "true" endings are hidden behind an additional boss. Not less. But at the end of the day, as far as we know, and as freaky as may be in the Gepeto ending, in both endings we become a real boy. We may never know which one it was in the next game. I still hope it is the rise of P. It has the best build up in the game
The canon ending can be either of the three, since in either of the best and good endings you still have the arm of god in your inventory, so when Paracelsus says they must retrieve it, it still stands as the hand is always with us in all endings. As for Paracelsus identity, he is the P in the title.
Its really cool that using P in a Pinnochio theory was meant to throw us off, but then we realize they never call the protagonist Pinnochio at all. So Your most likely right. P is Paracelsus is the liar, and he and his organization will be the enemies. P (Paraselsus) being a mysterious immortal man who goes around setting up experiments that cause chaos and sufferign for people. Man its so deep and dark when you think of it.
@@ZaiDrizzleDrop Yes exactly, it became apparent since Paracelsus will most likely be the only link between the series, as I assume each game will have its own playable protagonist, although I wouldn't mind keep playing as Carlo. Also Paracelsus kept deceiving his way through the game, from the first time you meet him. The letter he leaves if you check out his room after any end is curious tho and he signs it as P.P (lol)
It's an interesting theory but I don't see the connection to Adam, the Arm of God is described as coming from a fallen Star that took the appearance of humans and they started calling it an Angel. It doesn't seem to be a human at all let alone Adam, the first human. The game more describes it as some type of alien made out of ergo

I'm guessing Dorothy might be feet due to the slippers. Though the story of Wizard of oz has several body parts with her companions.
What if the true arm of god was built into Geppetto's puppet of Carlo and the Legion arm is actually just a containment device for the arm itself? This would explain why the arm has superhuman abilities, uses a separate source of power other than Ergo, and why Geppetto thought he would be able to bring his son back to life through a puppet. Edit: The trinket is more or less a key to unlocking the arms true power.
This is an excellent thought! It was clearly part of the puppet’s design from the onset. Maybe the original goal was to actually fit the Arm of God? The Real Boy ending alludes to the fact that it was used in his resurrection.
SECRET DETAIL YOU KIGHT BE INTERESTED IN!!
•I believe Carlo (the original) had ended up joining the Black Rabbit Brotherhood and somewhere along the lines lost his life!
Hints:
-The Black Rabbit Medallion. Placed on the grave of a ‘Cherished Child’, which is next to an old StarGazer overgrown with weeds.
-Supposedly Carlos painting was ‘Stolen’ by the Brotherhood. As well the entire club house is trashed with graffiti all over every painting aside from Carlos Painting, it was respected🤔
-Romeos audio recording mentions Carlo was a monster of a fighter and nearly an unstoppable Stalker.
-Geppettos says “Dear Carlo, I no longer hold a grudge” and further wishes to FIX Krat for his son, as if it was his sons wish. Perhaps Carlo had his own vision or agreed with another groups vision of how to repair Krat and ended up choosing his own path, leading to a rift and separation between father and son in which Geppetto never got to repair the bond before Carlo died, leaving him in a state of chasing that perfect family moment before ‘everything changed’
-Oh! Also Geppetto seems to have a personal grudge against the Black Rabbit Brotherhood. After you defeat them he says a mysterious line that implies he happy you ‘got rid of troublesome folk?’ Or rifraf? I can’t remember exactly but it was something similar you’d hear from a parent who disproves or their sons friends 🤔
Pretty sure there’s something here. Otherwise the Brotherhood serves little purpose in the grand scheme of the story. Thoughts??
This is definitely along the lines of a video I have planned soon! Can you clarify or even quote the recording from Romeo that mentions Carlo was a skilled fighter/stalker? I only recall him revealing Geppeto as the responsible party for the Puppet Frenzy. Also, the loading screens have awesome lore, but the game loads too fast for me to cycle through, so there may be some hints there as well.

It’s when you listen to his recording at the stargazer and he’s saying something along the lines of “I sent messengers for you, but you got rid of them all. You’re still one hell of a fighter. I remember you, we’re best friends, we’re grew up together in the charity house.”
And then later when you see all the visions on the beach, there’s a memory of the boys pretending to be a Stalkers and Lampwick saying he was going to be a great Stalker too!
Actually I can’t remember where but in one of the journals it says “well if you’re going to be the Greatest Stalker in Krat… then I’ll be the Greatest Stalker of the world!” (Or something like that) and I’m pretty sure that was between Romeo and Carlo.
That’s one of the only mysteries I can’t quite figure out, is the dispute and what happened to Carlo. If its even teased to us that is, but I feel it is.. maybe it was tied to the Clock Tower collapse incident??? Maybe not but it seems an important time stamp of an event.
Yeah the loading screens do go very fast! I’ll have to try and see if I can catch any new details in them thx! 🥸

I actually really hope that Lies of P's creators would do one very important thing better than FromSoft and, if they make a DLC or a sequel, it would acknowledge the ending you've previously done and include flavor changes.
I love these theories, but wouldn’t that explanation for the bad ending make Gepetto’s puppet the wielder of the….GodHand?
Both and Sofia and P are immortals in the best ending though. And Paristalsis has to get the arm back, but how is he supposed to get it if it’s apart of Carlo. Also the ending cutscene happens regardless of the ending.

Technically man was made mortal with the condition of immortality being listening to the commands of God, hence the tree of life they were Barred from.
I use to think that was the case but now I'm certain it isn't.
Adam&Eve weren't the first humans
People during that time weren't immortal, they lived longer but would die eventually .
The death that came through Adam is a spiritual death.
To eat of the tree of life is something he could have done but eve through convincing of the serpent led him to eating from the tree of the knowledge of Good & evil, that which he (not eve but Adam) shall not eat.
Hints why after he eats of it, both they're eyes are open they notice they're naked n feel shame
Before that They lived in the presence of God.
As for the people out side of Eden I have no clue about them
@@cloudyworldview6973 the death they had was to return to the dust of the ground according to their judgement. Their eyes were open in light of their wisdom which came from knowing good and evil. They could see and judge things like God or perhaps gods/ angelic beings. Their eyes being open is not their physical eyes because they could see the trees and the serpent. It’s the eyes of their heart. Their discernment of their state of nakedness and what to do with it.
Edit: Adams name means humanity. Also Genesis 1 and 2 are two different narratives.

The idea is that Eve saw that the tree was good for food, a delight to the eyes, and good to make one wise, she takes and eats knowing good and evil. She then can, like God, and the host of heaven, divide light from darkness, good from evil (Genesis 1:3-4, Genesis 1:16-18, Isaiah 5:20). She came to a form of wisdom, or discernment of these things, hence discerning good from evil. After both take it their eyes were open. God hasn’t judged them at this moment. Their eyes opening is a consequence of eating the fruit, not God’s judgement. When God judges them he says from dust you came to dust you will return, which is a form of death or decreation. This hits on the effects of sin Paul talks about. He states, in Roman’s 5, through one man sin entered the world, and death reigned for all sinned. So, sin, a substance now in the world, brings death to all mankind when they sin themselves because the wages of sin is death.
Honestly the post-credits scene makes me think the Real Boy ending is the canon one, because that would explain why Dorothy is in Krat. With her walking on the rooftop like that I'm thinking she's going to be the next player character and she's there to stop Gepetto and The Boy from doing something crazy. It would be really cool if the Left Arm being part of Adam influenced The Boy and he ended up trying to find his other pieces or something.

I really like the idea of the Arm of God belonging to Adam. Which makes me think Eve is the Gold Coin Tree as a bears a shape of woman. Plus the symbolism in picking Golden Fruit which, in this game, are used to obtain Cubes made from Wishes and Star Fragments.

We know the reanimated carlos was made using the hand of god, but what happened to that artifact in the other endings where we kill nameless puppet? The post-credit with Paracelsus wanting the arm still plays in the other endings too. Are we just chilling with the arm of a divine being in our inventory lol.
Hermes Trismegistus was a wizard and the father of magic in the real world. The arm of God resembles the left hand path of the black mages which leads to ultimate crystallisation of the soul (Ergo). The goal of the left hand path is to become a god. The right hand path of white magic leads to immortality by overcoming the material world and ascending to a form of energy. In game the arm comes from an alien (Trismegistus?) spreading a disease that turns a human souls into crystals. Some want to be like that alien using his arm to become a god.
Do you think The Tinman and Scarecrow could be in possession of Adam's heart and brain at the end of the Oz game?

There’s something underneath one of the knuckles of the arm of god. Can’t tell what it it but I think it’s he Easter egg. Looks like the nameless puppet sword
Could you do one talking about the symbolism scattered throughout the game? Like the Sefiroth, the Square and Compass etc.
Also a few nitpicks:
1.Simon Manus is also a parallel to "Simon Magus" the sorcerer mentioned in the New Testament. (Acts 8: 9-24) He was known to confront Peter and challenge him, essentially taking an "anti-Christ" role. Simon Magus is still revered by occultists/Gnostics today.
2. Adam wasn't undying technically. Adam and Eve were undying for as long as they ate from the Tree of Life, (Genesis 2: 8-9) They weren't going to die, but it wasn't solely because of their physiology is all I'm saying.
it'd be really cool if they can make a souls like game that's not satanic. And they even found a way to demonize pinochio 😅

Simon doesn't willingly undergo his transformation and this is the first attempt of
"Creating a new god." but, a failed attempt.
Simon stands in front of us, to destroy our heart, before it can be given over to Geppetto.
This is because the "arm of god" doesn't create a god, but provides a "marking" or "vessel" for Adam to be "re-born."
Perhaps Simon is fighting back Adam and is aware of his plans and this is why we have the second stage fight.
His "Death" in the first fight, allows Adam to take control over Simon.(Death + Rebirth - Coming full "circle")
Perhaps Geppetto created the puppets due to Adam promising to bring back his son.
"This is what you need to do, to bring your son back to life."
But Adam, pulls a fast one and actually tricks Geppetto into bringing him back?
Perhaps an "untainted" "Vessel" is required to bring back Adam, in his true form.
As Simon is an alchemist and has dabbled with the Golden Fruit, perhaps this has tainted him and he has become "Less" human like than monster.
Maybe the "Fresh" puppet's creation, the "special" puppet, is Adam's true Vessel.
