Idk if it was an alien, or the devil. I think it's more likely the devil, because of its left hand. It seems like this god has a fondness of left hands, notice the carcasses in early game have their left hands detached from their bodies. In my religion, the left hand is the hand of the devil and young kids are coerced to write with their right hand when they're little. Incidentally, I'm left-handed XDDD I do believe left-handedness has something to do with this game's god and the carcass affliction, although I don't have the time to piece it together now.

Sadly with me being swamped with work I can't really piece it together in written form nor do I have the time...
Do you think you can figure out who the hermit in the cave was? I've also wondered who the creature we fight at the end of it was. Those are the two secrets I can't seem to unravel. Great video, by the way!
It's the reporter Medoro. You can find writings left behind indicating that he locked himself in there and eventually transformed into the monster at the end.
I have this fanfic idea where Peter Pan is a boy believed by the Ouroboros Brotherhood to be the reincarnation of the One-Winged Angel that descended to the Relic of Trismegistus Caverns of Kratt because of his symbiotic relationship with Ergo. Fed up with the pressures of being some sort of idol to this organization, he fled Kratt to another realm known as Neverland, which was said to be the One-Winged Angel’s homeworld, where he takes the children of cities such as Kratt to in an attempt to "save" them from the world gone cruel thanks to the discovery of Ergo. Unfortunately, The Ouroboros Brotherhood has sent Captain Hook, a bounty hunter, & his crewmates to reclaim Peter Pan. But that won't stop Peter from fighting for his newfound freedom.
To me I think this God/Star is a lovecraftian being ( Maybe something like the great Ones from bloodborne.). It could be when the people wish upon a star, they may have called out to this being by accident and such it came to our reality. The “angel “ could be an avatar of this being ( maybe this form is what we could comprehend). The lovecraftian being full filled the wishes of mankind by infusing its blood/Life essence into us ( which we would call Ergo). Maybe the Lovecraftian did this to spread its influence in our world or it did want to help but was not aware of the negative effects of Ergo on humans. With the god torn apart, maybe when the angel avatar was killed it cut the beings connection to our world. So yeah i think Ergo could be the essence of a primordial lovecraftian higher being that to us humans is a god

@wizardwolf1020 😂 I’ve scoured my scripts and I believe I broke that theory into several pieces and included them in the Easter Egg video. If the schedule permits I’ll definitely revisit the thought and develop a more cohesive theory!

@TheInhumanOne I accidentally skipped the fella that sells you Friendship Stones in NG+ because before you meet him, you can buy FS from a tablet outside the door. Is there a way to get that gentleman back, or do I have to finish my NG+ without FS?
I don't quite follow. What are the friendship stones you speak of? Also, most items that can be purchased in Lies of P are from actual merchants. If you are referring to the star fragments that Giangio sells, you can purchase them even after he leaves by using the device he left behind (it looks like a suitcase).
@TheInhumanOne My bad! The Wishing stones you put in the cube. The ones you buy with the gold fruit. The gentleman u give the gold fruit too; if you skip talking to him in NG+ you can't buy those stones. If you skip that NPC.

It really might a reference of sorts to the Devil, as he is also referred to as" The Morning Star" or Morning Star
