I like lego technic more than creator expert but this set is awesome. Front grill looks awesome, great details and everything looks so clean. Amazing set. Also really good video. How old is this hamster, it looks really young?

The box desperately needed a background for this model and the newer VW Bus. I was thinking like some kind of Farm background in Europe or somewhere in the Midwest United States. Still love the model though.
The attention to detail with this American classic pickup truck is really well done! The engine looks amazing, grill is very cool and even the truck bed was built very nicely. I enjoyed seeing this set come to life and is definitely one I’d put in my collection. Thanks for the great video!

Do the dark red pieces have the same issues of strength that most dark red pieces have or might lego have improved the dark red pieces? I wish the set did not include so many extra small builds as they probably add between £10-£20 to the overal cost I understand that it has the lowest price per piece for the cars in this range.
I haven't noticed any issues but then I wasn't exactly trying to break pieces.
Now this is the set that i've been looking for! It looks cute and even more, it's gonna look awesome next to my other creator expert sets. Awesome review, as always!!

Love the color and the excellent SNOT techniques for a great body, and the mini builds add the fresh brightness it needs. Who needs a license anyway?

i wish they had made the grill horizontal and the windshield a little more slanted back like the real truck. those are the biggest reasons i havent bought it.
I would add 8466 door mechanism to the coolest door mechanisms in a lego set. :)
well its very well made set and im glad lego expert finally did a cargo vehicle - maybe bit sad that is not ford or something but still its cute and good set #better than VW t2

This definitely seems a little more fragile than some sets. About a month ago I bought the new Space Shuttle set and had an absolute blast putting it together. Aside from 2 spots, it seems fairly robust. It obviously wouldn’t survive a fall but it seems swooshable without any chance of anything falling off unless you are holding it from like the tail. The edge of the wings are absolute masterpieces with the bevel. I haven’t spent this much money on a set since the 2010 excavator but I think it was well worth the price.

P.S. How did the Ford unboxing video do? Do the analytics say anything promising about people discovering this from the Shorts recommendations?
P.P.S. You mentioned these being the most complex doors after the 8070, what about the 42069? Two-piece doors surely are more complex...

P.P.P.S. It's a little disappointing to see the rating for this set's playability be at three stars while the Mustang's was at 5. Would you change that in hindsight, provided this set has far more accessories?
Well, Mustang had accessories too and it was the first Creator car with steering.
The V2 looks like a refrigerator on wheels, but this I can appreciate
100% display piece and no playset for the kids if so much falls off that easy. how is the consistency of the Color of the parts? (on some photo's / videos it looks as several parts have different texture/hue/matte/shiny. what is your thoughts/opinion about it ???

I feel that the cabin should be at least one stud wider - maybe two. I think that this is what made the set look a bit cartoonish.

Afaik US prices are without VAT that is usually quite high in EU countries (Germany 19%, lower for some goods)

@@sizifuss4751 USA doesn't have VAT. Each state, county, and city can have its own sales tax rate. The total sales tax tends to be 5-9%, but some states don't have any sales tax at all. It's a ridiculously complicated system of arbitrary taxes.

I am having a challenge with this set. Parts list says qty 8 part 6336970 (dark gray bar with clip). I am done with build and all 8 of these are unused. I had gone thru manual in paper and online 4 times and do not see where this part is used. Anyone? help? SOS?

@@searme woohoo! We have a winner! Step 165. I do not know not only how I missed it, but how the Lego expert I chatted with for half hour missed it! Thank you. Who knows what kind of performance issues I would have had without these key parts for my engine🤓
But now that I look at finished vehicle, and what I would need to do to disassemble and add these pieces, I may just live with the performance issues!

But yeah, that pickup looks way nicer than T2. I think the scale compared to Mustang or Porsche is actually fine. They look nice together.
Also, looking at the group photo, I don't understand why LEGO insists on using clear windshields instead of tinted ones. Tinted looks so much better.
My only gripe is the casual use of the R word, brother. But I wanted to make my own comment to say that this is a great channel, I love what you do, very simple and informative videos. Keep up the good work, but please try to keep offensive terms to a minimum, you never know who your audience might be, especially on a RUclips channel showcasing LEGO.

@@searme I am going to assume that word has different meaning and/or impact in different areas, ie UK use of "fag" for a cigarette has a totally different meaning in North America. Imo, I am 15 currently, and I may have a positive attitude to the 18+ theme. The black, tbh, I think it's like just simple, without too many of decoration, etc., but NOT every single set, perhaps once or twice in Technic sets, and maybe more complicated sets, not in CREATEOR and such set like this featuring lovely picnic or short trip, and ruined by this 18+ 'art'. What was LEGO designed for? Toys for children mostly, no? Some 'old children', or whatever it's named, also like building, and that's why we love LEGO. We don't care the age with a set which best match my favour, no matter it's aged 3+ or a city set, or girls that one, neither the 18+ in the other hand, like me if I am interested, to get this set. LEGO should really consider WHEN and WHICH to use this 18+, not just randomly putting this in sets (except flagship, with 'highly' realistic set, perhaps, could use the 18+ and work well).
Looks like a really good/complete display model. Couldn't tell in the vid, but the issue with dark red looks to be greatly improved over some of the other sets released this year. (SC Stingray the worst I think I've ever seen) Still prefer the T2 Camper, but really like the build/detailing here so definite buy. Only noticed now, but is Lego really using a sticker across two pieces on the door? Not happy about that at all. As for how fragile the set is. Understandable as it's meant to be displayed more and less played with unlike most Technic models.
It's a single piece under the sticker.

I just really don't get this 18+ box theme hate. I actually love it, the box looks much more premium and, well, more for adults and not for children. I understand you have a different opinion but mentioning it at least twice per video and sometimes too harshly is just so repetitive!
It looks premium until you see that all boxes in this theme look exactly the same and impossibly boring and dull.
Yes, they do look similar but I get the information about the model I need and the box looks much better than colourful box for children. This is a box I am happy to put on the shelf right behind the model in my office because it doesn’t look childish.

Strange departure from the usual Creator line up. Why such a stange choice? Not iconic enough like say the London bus and no licence...surely there is no shortage of ideas in eithe department? It's too fragile for kids and not exciting enough to steal display space from the likes of the 10265 / 10262.
Stranger still that they reserved the better building techniques and better overall look for a gerneric set and let the licenced camper set look like roadkill.....
Looks like Lego is in so much of a rush to add new sets that anything goes these days.....my wallet though, is happy
