- While I can't say @everyone is unsure with this topic I know it affects a lot of the STFC playerbase. Assimilate!? There's a faction? Research? Officer abilities? Are they interconnected or just a confusing standalone? Is any of this content outdated? Well that's what we're going to explain in this video as over the past couple months as more players have leveled up I've run into this question a lot!

well there goes my peaceful Monday mining... thanks Rev ;-) Yeah I found this a bit ago and it is my go to for Monday mining
I burned the money for the whip. As it is I go to a faction warp 190 system and full my Fesha. Over 3 million in about 7 minutes. It takes longer to get there than it does to fill the cargo bay. I don't think that this will do much unless I send my second Fesha there also. What I need is regular platinum. Plus the whip has spoiled me I used to think 380k was fast. Now it's just annoying since it takes about 20 minutes to clear the node.
@@nickm9102 I did too, the one he mentioned in the video is 750K about 2 mins. I fill up to the max mil+ cargo. Will try the further one to see if it is more effecient.
As for reg lat, sadly you want the Glass skin, I bite because it had an extra refine, more lat always good, but it allows your Fesha's to mine regular lat at full speed like like the D'Vaors but with a larger cargo hold you can do the full 470K nodes and not go OPC. So now I have 30mil raw lat as I have a total of 3 Fesha's (just maxed the 3rd D'vaor and was holding it until I got the Glass skin).
The whip can get the largest nodes to 30ish seconds
You can completely skip the useless research assimulate research besides the first tier to get to the actual useful research that follows.
First tier is good for scoring points though, so useful for research events.

OPS 44 here, trying to unlock Beta Sector, working on Pre-resequites in missions.. agree that Freeloaders give plenty of 5*. Triple Champion locked
Triple locked at 44??? Wow! I am 48 and just locked Champion fed and now working on my 3rd.
@@ElimEx1at 39 I locked feds at 1 b now at ops 42 I will have rom done in next week. Why simple answers: 1 time, it closes that rep grind loop for a bit so I have time to do the others. 2 by locking feds at 39 I have ground out s Kelvin doing Roms, and a Hydra. By locking roms at 42 I can grind out the 42/46 rom ships doing locking the Klingons. Also when I locked feds I got my 4 star Klingon miner for next to nothing.
you're wild, man. I just got my first 1b lock at 44 and I regret it, no reason to do it that early
@@foamslinger2787absolutely untrue. The earlier you triple lock, the better off you will be because you can complete all 3 faction dailies and bank faction credits which you will need lots of. Ultimately it's each person's game to play but locking earlier helps in the long run.
@@RyanDennett14 oops, I was replying to the guy right above me who had single locked fed at a bil. My experience is that’s going to the others harder to grind
I was wondering why I hadn't seen that research before and saw that it opens at Ops 48 and I am 47, lol. Good stuff to look forward to so i know where to go to get it done.
Really do need to remember those C-Lat nodes....

Sorry, but Rev doesn't tell the full story about this zone - this zone is also large part of G5 main stories (you get there so many stories, still at OPS 56+) and there are hardcore hostile ships to fight .. it still makes sense to do the tech, how else are you supposed to beat the 300 million plus ships in those zones?: that is even hard with Corvus tier 6.

I mine the Con Lat nodes in Beta Sector on non-mondays. With the whip and a high-level Feesha I can get a lot in a short period of time and not have to do it again for awhile
The cool part about the missions that happen in there is they make you kill just enough ships to finish that research.
On my server those systems are packed on mining Monday with miners and OPC hunters. Every other day of the week it's a ghost town.

Or smash a full cargo with the Feesha and whip
I could've used that video a week ago, where I painstakingly searched for my god damn main mission and just did dozens in hopes of getting into that very system

@@RevDeuce I do appreciate your videos but I strongly feel that it should be Scopely's job to convey something so important. Instead I have to regularly educated myself via external sources on many things in the game that vital - not everyone has the time or will to do that.
I am not a vetern player but I still mine there. It takes less than a minute to finish those nodes
It takes about 30 seconds to drain one with my feesha (maxed whip), great for mining Monday.
Been avoiding that research since I had no idea what ASM was, and are fairly long. 👍

S15 - that area is packed on mondays.
Maybe I misunderstood but you don’t really need to go past lvl 1 for all the assimilated research. I completely avoid this as was able to research everything after these researches to the Max. So if you don’t want to waste your time then don’t bother past lvl 1.

Was wondering why his Feesha was so slow. Bet he doesn't have Feesha Glas skin!. You can clear those big nodes in 1.5 minutes.
Glass skin works for the OG lat, Whip is for concentrated. Rev has the whip must not have had it equipped on the ship he was using for the video.
Probably, I know I had two Feshas before I got the whip. Took it to Tier nine and it told me that I needed to be OPS 51 to go further so now I am building up the second one since I got the Glas skin letting me mine latinum with it. The D'Vor has no cargo bay.
My silent enemy is broken. 😭 yes, done a ticket, no still broken. Loot doesn't register in the swap section when it gets docked.
Still too far off to unlock beta sector mission. Still catching up on some stuff.

Actually u don’t need to complete them to progress through the research tree. They are dead researches I never did them
