I hope this is not the finished product. This mission alone needs more enemies, original music and not cue used in the previous game as well as non hostile NPCs such as civilians. I am happy to buy another Sniper Elite game as I really love the franchise, but it needs to justify itself and not just come off as DLC. I'll look for improvements in whatever footage is released next.
I am afraid it will be. The last game had similar problems but this looks even worse. I thought they would have listened to the criticism of the last game but it seems not.

It would bring so much more creativity to the infiltration and playing against an invader. I hope the game will feature: - Authentic Plus difficulty, - More diversity in ennemies and vehicles, - Shoot the vehicles through their weakspot (like in SE3) - Bigger levels and taking place during the day (closer to SE4), - No Focus nor HUD in Authentic invasions, - No minimap hint on the objectives location (let us discover it ourselves while collecting intels) - More fights alongside friendly NPCs (such as SE4) so it gives you a scripted opportunity to help you counter the invader (I hope Propaganda are not totally separate missions that will replace the SE4 Friendly NPCs type of fight) - More scripted moment of ambushes by the enemies and so on (like SE3) - This hidding in a truck mechanic I would have prefered to see the sniper glint blinking (like in SE3) instead of being persistent, at least in Authentic and Authentic Plus it gives more challenge and get the game much more interesting
extra cool input, Invader can fight the resistance fighters (those friendly npc's). I feel like that would be interesting. fun fact I got into an area where resistance fighters were as a jager (map 8 se5) and it actually lets you kill them.
God forbid they change it up and star a *German* sniper (some of the early experts in modern marksmanship and sniping), or even *Soviet* or change the era for ****s sake, considering about 50 different wars were waged throughout the 20th century where sniping played insanely prevalent roles in just about every single one 👀

I love SE but the biggest update I can see is him mentioning the grass being itchy rather than “a better place to hide.” I get the approach of if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, but this game needs a bit of a shake up or a kick in the pants. It’s SOOOOO SE to say “ooh I think there might be some tunnels around here somewhere, maybe I should keep an eye out for some” once he’s TWENTY METRES INTO THE TUNNEL😂

I really think it's because of the sales potential, Sniper Elite 5 has few active players to buy the DLC so maybe Rebellion thought it would be better to make a Standalone

Great series but come on, the graphics look good but not really changing the slow motion kills and keeping the same ones from V1 is insane to not expand on that, by now I should be to disintegrate knee caps and explode shoulder blades, grenades should send arms,legs, bone fragments, muscle fibers and body shrapnel everywhere.
I hear ya. I really want more of the horrors of war. Dogs too. That and destructible environments. Would probably change the age rating and potential sales.

The almost never ending monologue in this video, with one of them even repeating once, makes the demo hilarious. I don't remember Sniper Elite 4/5 having that much monologue in a single mission.
I remember watching the earlier gameplay and the character animations were super robotic much like the earlier games. I'm glad to see they put in some work towards them, they look really good, no longer looks like you're playing as a robot.
As an old school gamer who does not have the time for multi or coop games. Only play single player games these days. Always loved this series since the 1st as well as the Zombie Army series. But always wanted to have a 1st person POV option in each. 3rd person just makes games way too easy as I usually turn off the hud and other cheats like rader, minimap, icons and lock on aim. 3rd person also ruins the immersion The one thing never liked about Rebellion is their insistence on 3rd person only. Also ever SE3 or 4 the Sniper Elite franchise feels, plays and looks nearly exactly the same or 3 were all based in the Med theater and honestly its getting boring. Would love some eastern or northern front action like Poland, Norway or something other than North Africa and Italy. How many games/years did it take just to reach just France. The UI, HUD, fonts and or even missions are basically the same. The Xray kill cam is not all that cool anymore either. Lastly the cost of DLC's are really overpriced for the amount of content you get.

I like the idea of the tunnels to sneak about beneath the city but I don’t agree with this player’s game style. I would have chosen to pick off the individual soldiers & used more stealth.
I’m convinced that whoever is the person with the controller at these reveal events wants us to believe that an actual SE skilled and seasoned player would actually fire off an SMG with a mob of enemies near by…..this isn’t call of duty or battle field or even halo….sniper elite as a whole is more fun more exciting more satisfying when you take it slow and stealthy.
When I played at gamescom, it took me over 30 minutes just to do the first objective. Unfortunately, my gameplay has no sound that's why the devs recorded a pretty fast playthrough of this mission for us.
That what i was affraid after playng 5 and 4, not much sniping for a sniper game... . Game mechanisms are made so badly that sniping is the worst way to take enemies in 80% of the game time ...and thats not the thing u expect from sniping game.

This is why the Sniper Elite series is the best!! amazing stealth, gameplay, iconic locations, mission freedom.... and more. If this was hitman cuff cuff i mean shitman you would just disguise yourself as a german soldier and blitz the campaign in 20 minutes, because reasons..... To summerize Shitman is a failed series. Ps: I know what you are gonna say, "but disguising yourself as a German soldier is realistic" and if i told you it's far from realistic as you can get, even if you spoke the language you would still get caught, since every soldier as decumentation and regulations, what? you think you would be running around in places not asigned to you, won't ruse suspiction? what will happen if they call your supossed name, rank and file? what do you think will happen? to had to the shit show, fellow soldiers would suspect the absence of their fellow brother in arms, increasing the suspictions even further, believe me you would get caught and executed within 4 to 10 minutes if you are lucky. The only change you could possibly have, is if you were in a penel battalion, but even then you would have your work cut out for you to say the least ☠️☠️

None of the SE games ever had civilians. SE 2 was an empty Berlin and SE4 the whole of Italy was empty. The game looks utterly boring.

I’m convinced that whoever is the person with the controller at these reveal events wants us to believe that an actual SE skilled and seasoned player would actually fire off an SMG with a mob of enemies near by…..this isn’t call of duty or battle field or even halo….sniper elite as a whole is more fun more exciting more satisfying when you take it slow and stealthy.
When I played at gamescom, it took me over 30 minutes just to do the first objective. Unfortunately, my gameplay has no sound that's why the devs recorded a pretty fast playthrough of this mission for us.

That what i was affraid after playng 5 and 4, not much sniping for a sniper game... . Game mechanisms are made so badly that sniping is the worst way to take enemies in 80% of the game time ...and thats not the thing u expect from sniping game.

@@craiglewis8272 Sniper Elite: Resistance is very similar to Part 5, but it's a new game. It takes place at the same time as Part 5, but in a different part of France. There is an entirely new campaign that is also playable in co-op. However, it's essentially 'more of the same.'

I know this looks like a sniper elite 5 dlc, yet i would be a foll not to praise, what the series as able to accomplish.
This is why the Sniper Elite series is the best!! amazing stealth, gameplay, iconic locations, mission freedom.... and more.
If this was hitman cuff cuff i mean shitman you would just disguise yourself as a german soldier and blitz the campaign in 20 minutes, because reasons..... To summerize Shitman is a failed series.
Ps: I know what you are gonna say, "but disguising yourself as a German soldier is realistic" and if i told you it's far from realistic as you can get, even if you spoke the language you would still get caught, since every soldier as decumentation and regulations, what? you think you would be running around in places not asigned to you, won't ruse suspiction? what will happen if they call your supossed name, rank and file? what do you think will happen? to had to the shit show, fellow soldiers would suspect the absence of their fellow brother in arms, increasing the suspictions even further, believe me you would get caught and executed within 4 to 10 minutes if you are lucky.
The only change you could possibly have, is if you were in a penel battalion, but even then you would have your work cut out for you to say the least ☠️☠️
