right because vietnam was brutal. it isnt a cake walk like what they make it to be. these nerds know nothing about wars. in real life you dont respond and get a second chance
I'm sure they will make a game (more likely, multiple games) on a more and more fair un-biased view of the war. Of course, seems like money will always be the primary objective; but the consumer will want more and more realistic/true gameplay as things carry on. Nothing is more interesting than real life, at it's most authentic.
@@ADPax10 Commerce is based on demands. The drive for demands is based on end users who are insightful enough to request such conditions. The manufacturer, i.e. game developers, are just "the man in the middle", who's concerns for ethical values may be less of an investment over technical innovations. This, at the moment, is seemingly the standard golden rule to maximize profits. As competition saturates this model by other game developers, unique selling points and or added values such as accurate historical narratives would be bumped up. FAKE Bot comment!!! Gesendet von Copilot: As a veteran who served two tours in Vietnam, playing this Vietnam War FPS game was a deeply moving experience. The developers have masterfully captured the atmosphere and intensity of the battles. The graphics are stunning, and the sound effects are so lifelike that I often felt transported back to the dense jungles and chaotic firefights. What resonated with me the most was how the game portrays the camaraderie and solidarity among the soldiers. It brought back vivid memories of the men I served with during my two tours and the unbreakable bonds we forged in the face of adversity. The game offers not only heart-pounding action but also poignant moments of reflection and remembrance. For me, this game is more than just a form of entertainment; it’s a tribute to the brave men and women who served in Vietnam. It has helped me process some of my own experiences while also educating a new generation about the history and sacrifices of the war. A truly impressive and respectful game that honors our service.
Well as an NFL 2-touch flim flam on the huey dewy, 69th division with special honors, we saw plenty of those floating around in Nam, so I dont know what the hell you're yapping about, soldier. Did you even actually serve? Or are you capping?
In Vietnam today, with regard to fictional recreational creations like this, there's a fun saying among contemporaries about world's major powers: in history, if you won, you dictate the history, but if you lost, then you'd produce fictitious stuff to "rewrite" the past into self-delusional history where you would've won instead. Either way, it's all distortion of what truly happened. This game is no exception.
I mean, it’s no secret that Vietnam was badly affected by U.S. military. It actually still feels the effects of this today with agent orange hot spots.

Of course they couldn't make a game in which they lost so miserably, their heroism prevented them from doing so and future generations would misunderstand the war.

Man the Vietcong game for pc from the 2000's or so blows this away imo. This looks like a war joyride whereas that game had me shittin my pants. Online Vietcong was even more intense and had some nerve wracking maps. Defending a base in the dark during a storm messed with my blood pressure. It's really a shame that game doesn't get more accolades because it was wild.
Vietcong in my opinion was the GOAT of first person shooters and the online play was way ahead of its time. I remember saving up for a new graphics card because my old dusty PC couldn’t keep up!
Nice to hear "Magic Carpet Ride" by Steppenwolf but at the start of the video it states the date was January 1968. This single was not released until September of that year.
For those saying that wanted to play as Vietnamese against US forces during the war, I suggest playing Arma 3. Theres a new DLC about this war and it had the entire map of Vietnam as its battleground. The scenarios and open-world missions i experienced as a US soldier in this game was like a fcking horror game, landmines, ambushes, snipers and jungle traps. While playing as a Vietnamese feels awesome as youre defending your homeland against technologically superior enemy. The open-world missions made me realized why linear scripted missions were needed in CODS or MoH. Because its terrifying to casual players roleplaying as US forces patrolling only to get ripped apart by machine guns equipped by talking trees.😂
wish someday they make a movie about the vietnamese people...Mel Gibson tried with the we were soldiers giving a small perspective of the viet side,,...very proud and courageous people as they fought for their country
Badly researched: huey with 4 bladed props, wrong exhausts, m16VN with the wroung flashhider etc. In the end it's about having fun, but they could have put up more research about the material.
Twin engined hueys, 4 rotors, and weird split windscreen? I mean anyone who spends 15mins researching the war would notice. And how cool would a twin M60 door-gun be instead of brrrrr? And a nickle-plated 1911 in the Nam??? And an AK47 with no muzzle climb. And the Mi-24 that was never in Nam.
Activision/Treyarch has never bothered about historical accuracy in their CoD. In BO1, they got the guns and vehicles wrong in almost every level. They simply do not care about that.
All those helicopters taking off and the grass remains perfectly still. Even the palm treas were still. If they had a physics engine running alongside those graphics this would have been an amazing video
as a 46 year old American, I don't know, this game seems rather insulting to portray the Vietnamese as the enemies when we invaded their country. And we lost the war as well. We are the antagonist here. Making a game about it just celebrates our aggression. that said, amazing graphics.
The Vietnam War, fought between 1955 and 1975, was a pivotal conflict between North Vietnam, supported by the Soviet Union and China, and South Vietnam, backed primarily by the United States. The war was rooted in the Cold War struggle between communism and capitalism, with America aiming to prevent the spread of communism in Southeast Asia. Despite possessing superior military technology, vast resources, and the world’s most powerful army, the United States faced fierce resistance from the North Vietnamese forces and the Viet Cong, a South Vietnamese communist insurgency. The Vietnamese fighters were highly motivated, using guerrilla tactics and deep knowledge of their terrain to outmaneuver American forces. The war dragged on for years, with heavy casualties on both sides. The U.S. military’s bombing campaigns and ground operations failed to break the resolve of the Vietnamese people. Meanwhile, the war became increasingly unpopular in the United States, sparking widespread protests and deep political divisions. In 1973, after years of intense fighting and no clear victory, the United States signed the Paris Peace Accords and began withdrawing its troops. However, the war did not end until 1975, when North Vietnamese forces captured Saigon, leading to the unification of Vietnam under communist rule. In the end, Vietnam emerged victorious, despite being vastly outmatched in terms of military power. The war was a significant defeat for America, highlighting the limits of its military might and the strength of a determined, resilient people fighting for their homeland. The victory of Vietnam was not just a military one but a powerful statement against foreign intervention and imperialism. The Vietnam War wasn’t just a conflict between the United States and Vietnam; it also pitted Vietnamese against Vietnamese. South Vietnam, officially known as the Republic of Vietnam (VNCH), was led by a government that opposed the communist North. Many of those in the South fought alongside the Americans, believing in the anti-communist cause or simply out of a desire for stability under a government that promised to protect their interests. The VNCH soldiers, despite being Vietnamese, took up arms against their fellow countrymen in the North. They were heavily supported by the U.S., receiving weapons, training, and financial aid. But even with this assistance, the South Vietnamese forces were unable to hold off the North, as the war dragged on and American involvement began to wane. When the U.S. decided to pull out in 1973, the South was left to fend for itself against the advancing North Vietnamese army. By 1975, the situation had become dire. Saigon, the capital of South Vietnam, fell to the North on April 30, 1975, marking the end of the war and the reunification of Vietnam under communist control. In the aftermath, many who had fought for the VNCH found themselves on the losing side of history. Fearing retribution and persecution, thousands fled the country. These individuals, often referred to as “boat people,” escaped by any means possible, with many seeking refuge in the United States, the very country that had tried-and failed-to defeat the Vietnamese communists. This mass exodus highlighted the deep divisions within Vietnam, as those who had once fought against their own nation now sought safety and a new life in the country that had fueled the conflict. While the war ended with a unified Vietnam, the legacy of those who fought for the VNCH and their flight to America is a reminder of the complex and painful history that tore the country apart. No need to argue, Google has it all
Yo I know this game reflects some kinds of scenes regarding Vietnamese War during 1960s-1970s. Telling us how terrible the War was, but my friend, the very painful past needed to be forgotten, both Vietnamese and American veterans are friends now except for 3-stripes Southern Vietnamese who live in the U.S :))). However, this game will be banned in Vietnam actually :))

right because vietnam was brutal. it isnt a cake walk like what they make it to be. these nerds know nothing about wars. in real life you dont respond and get a second chance
What’s the point otherwise
I'm sure they will make a game (more likely, multiple games) on a more and more fair un-biased view of the war. Of course, seems like money will always be the primary objective; but the consumer will want more and more realistic/true gameplay as things carry on. Nothing is more interesting than real life, at it's most authentic.
If there is one company to make another vietnam war trope then they should lead the vietnam war story like Spec Ops: The Line.
@@ADPax10 Commerce is based on demands. The drive for demands is based on end users who are insightful enough to request such conditions. This, at the moment, is seemingly the standard golden rule to maximize profits. As competition saturates this model by other game developers, unique selling points and or added values such as accurate historical narratives would be bumped up. As a veteran who served two tours in Vietnam, playing this Vietnam War FPS game was a deeply moving experience.
As a UH1-C, D & H pilot out of Dong Tam, RVN, ‘69-‘70, 191st Assault Helicopter Company, we never saw a 4-rotor, twin engine Huey.

@ father was a vet.

Translation:
I think this is an anti-American war, not a Vietnam war (I mean the Vietnamese Civil War fought itself and it came to the end of Vietnam), and we won, not looking stupid like in the game, many American battles were even shattered without seeing a single Vietnamese soldier, I cmt so in English it deleted the cmt I always :)) it always makes games like this so that its next generation still thinks it's right, it comes to save Vietnam from war, it knows it's a game but when it comes to history, it has to be standard, it always makes Russians look like demons and it's a superman to save the world, It's sad.
I think Vietnamese version should be played because us was the invader....
đó là trong game thôi, thật ra đất nước VIET NAM chúng tôi lại đánh du kích và không bao giờ di chuyển ngớ ngẩn để làm bia tập bắn cho các quý ông 😅
Translation: that's just in the game, in fact, in Vietnam, we fight guerrillas and never move stupidly to make beer to practice shooting for gentlemen 😅
@@GrayBeard11He meant *to make “target board” for shooting (not “beer” 🍺)
In reality this guy would have died 100x, maybe more. Every time the screen turns red=death.
I thought it was common knowledge that we lost the vietnam war. The last war US won was WW2. None since then.
You couldn't be more wrong.
Even with WW2, the US was only on the winning side. It was primarily Russia who defeated Germany. The US just used nuclear weapons against civilians in Japan.
@@wiseandstrong3386 name one then
@@mwtriplett1 The Gulf War, the Iraq war, Panama, pick up a history book before you comment next time. The US didn't completely lose in Afghanistan because Bin-Laden was eliminated and Al-Qaeda leadership was taken out.
@wiseandstrong3386 traditional invasions yes, none were considered long-term victories. An almost win isn't a win. American military leadership can't fight their way out of a wet paper bag.

I am that one who saw the last battle between COD and BF when the BF3 and CODMW3 been released and I am done with both of series with verdict for my own, Battlefield 3 was amazing just like Crysis at that time when it was released in far 2008.

The US won every major fight in this war. We left because ppl back home were tired of the fighting and our politicians obliged.
