Although I customized the difficulty as well , the AI is left untouched, and it’s the same as sniper elite (HARD MODE).

im pretty sure theres a video of this game out somewhere. and in that video, there is this absolutely psyhoctic sniper who had bodies littered all over the street. COUNTLESS bodies. he waits for axis snipers to join, and kills them. he is the craziest person. god help you if you meet him.

I would love to see you play the other side of this. I imagine it’s probably hard to guarantee that an enemy sniper will join your game, but still.
I played it on game pass. If, upon an invasion ending, I quick loaded to just before being invaded, I would very often get invaded again. I sometimes had to turn invasions off just to get through the level, since I enjoy doing the levels orderly, and an invasion kinda messes that up.
its easier on the other side (playing as karl) you get wall hacks and better perks.
@@jakey7563 Seems like it would be harder to me. Seeing as how you have no idea where the enemy sniper is but he will know exactly where you're going based on the objective of the level. Idk though since I don't play it.
@@anthrolover100 the main character can see you through the wall if you’re close enough also he can see what direction you are in focus mode. Go watch some gameplay from the other side and pay attention to the mini map when he goes into focus mode. As long as you keep your distance you have a higher chance of winning as the invader.

He likes Invasion mode in Sniper Elite and A Good Year?!?!?! stop being so cool.... Genuinely love that movie (Marion Cotillard, perfection) and the story behind it is just Russell Crowe and Ridley Scott wanting to work together but just relax vs the big mega flicks they normally make, so they just set up camp in wine country for a few months and had fun.
I always tune in for invasion videos! Love your calm narration, and appreciation of the classics :)

Nice video! When the game came out I played it and this was my favorite mod, but at that same time I had a health condition that prevented me from enjoying this as I would any other game at release. You actually made me want to replay it, especially this multiplayer mode as I did not so much like the single player part. But I am not sure if I should redownload on game pass or buy on sale for PS5 (my PC is currently having issues so I prefer PS5 but not sure about its community if I would find any games). Anyway, great video, enjoyed watching it from start to finish, subscribing to the channel!

Adding the ability to control units would break the game a little but would make sense. Maybe they could balance it so you can only control like 3 guys and you need to be like a Sargent or lieutenant rank first? Maybe you can only have them slowly move out, reinforce and pull back but nothing else? If for more balancing maybe have it set so it can only be used in co-op matches? So you get 3 ai but you have two enemy snipers out there looking for your ass? Perhaps you have to sacrifice the ability to use phones to get extra reinforcements?

Referring to you saying the next game should feature the Eastern Front... I'm still hoping to have Sniper Elote cover Simo Häyhä's story, the famous Finnish sniper. It would offer a new theatre, some actual historical references as well as a breath of fresh air from fighting the Germans over and over again.
That was on the eastern front technically considering finland would be fighting the soviets aswell
Weirdly this mode is still the most fun I’ve had in pvp in years, once I learned to recognise the cheaters and just quit straight out.

I would love to see them add like a 3v3 version of invasion. Where players and npcs respawn at reinforcement points or something spread over the map. They could make it a deathmatch highest kill count wins or some sort of objective point system.
This game deserves so much more attention. The invasion mechanic is so cool

so when you kill them and it enters the bullet cutscene (at least for a 1v1 like this) does it pause and show the cutscene to both of you or what? and what about gamemodes with more players?
also does that glint just appear when you're looking towards them with a scoped weapon, or does non scoped rifles (if thats even an option) also glint for some reason?
or is there any way to reduce/remove glint for a scoped weapon?

How does the slow mo cam work for the sniper? Does their game slow down when you get the kill or does their game run a full speed and only your view is slow mo?

They clearly were supposed to add the Japanese in 5, because of these guns and even voice lines they added but somehow didn’t go through with it. After 4 it would be perfect to do the pacific but they chose a really boring setting, especially when you consider that two of the missions aren’t even in france

I'm just happy that there are still players that have the option to stop being invaded still off. It's a great part of the game but can be quite onesided in the fun department.

play on immersive and watch the enemy struggel with making some of the easier shoots always nice when people are so relient on helps in such games.
I had to play the story solo first. The maps felt huge and I hate to spoil the immersion by just run & gunning through without regard. But once complete, it wasn’t as if the game was stale because Axis invasion you see more of the map - might have been over 100 games that I learnt some of the alternative routes, wouldn’t be surprised if there was one or two more I don’t know.
It’s incredibly baffling when some folk are not playing the side objectives and worse when they’re ignoring the main.
There’s something about this game I much prefer over SE4 and 3.
Has there been any major updates? I havent played since release.

Might find it easier running around with your pistol. It's way faster, less out of breath and much quieter. Karl doesn't hear you and its ready for close-quarters surprise attacks. Easy enough to transition when you have Karl in your sights, avoiding scope glint and accidentally tagging him, which for good players makes him bolt out of the kill zone.
Such a cool idea for a game feature, dragged down by so many balance issues and decisions from the studio. Any karl who loses to an invader (unless playing on authentic) is an embarrassment, you have functionally unlimited resources and wall hacks.
They need to make more games that have an invasion mode tbh

IMO (also) I think Axis Invasion is absolutely a great feature of the game. I am obsessed with it. I'm at a bit over 6.5k total kills and still love playing it. Lemme know if you wanna play someday. You can see my recorded games/gameplay on my channel. Peace out!

Ok i am alright with very good sniper-shoots but can someone please explain the shoot in "well done Sir."... Because it looks like the shoot came trough a wall. I was first guess it came trough the open hatch but the ankle is not correct for that....

Hey guys if your new to this mode the best way to hunt Karl is to play your distance Karl has wallhack you don’t be patient be careful Karl can quick trap you also when dealing with two Karl’s often play traps because there going after you there are many ways you can kill Karl but there many ways Karl can kill you now best load outs
Is the win co offering high ads and 200+ damage which can easily one shot yes it dlc but that is the best sniper if you are precise enough secondary matter but not really even the weakest smg can still shred Karl or invader now with pistols you want to have the highest movement speed I prefer the hs as it the fastest and I can easily get very close to Karl or relocate extremely fast which is viable now on with the general know your map know your map know your map by heart if you don’t know a map you don’t know where Karl coming from you will struggle also again tag your team if there all dead be very careful as there are 75 percent chance it’s trapped if against a or high lvl Karl now difficulty makes a Karl weaker or stronger Karl playing on civilian making him very hard to kill if you hit him as he regen all his health while if he playes on a harder difficulty you can get away with this
Rebellion hasn’t fixed bugs and stuff since forever in this game. And many ppl don’t like their partnership with meta for the VR games, and that they prefer VR over making new games or fixing this one. So they’re probably still better than most big gaming companies but not perfect either.

Personally I’m a big fan of the Sniper Elite series especially invasion mode in Sniper Elite 5 but unfortunately I was unable to find invasion games on Australian servers in 2024 😢
Very annoying! I've been amazed at how quickly I still get into games, seems a lot of people still playing the Europe region
@@MB93 it certainly is frustrating but luckily I was able to easily get invasion games back in 2022 and in 2023.

I'm in Australia and get invasions and do invasions repeatedly every day. Sometimes it's quiet but shouldn't be too hard if you keep trying
Change your region to the South American servers. I'm in the UK, and i find games there all the time.
@MB93 In the Sniper Elite 5 Invasions, can you piss the other Player off during the Invasions by sabotaging his Objectives, or by Stealing the Objectives from the other Player. It funny but Toxic to do so.

I don’t get why the players don’t use the xray vision more. It also shows you the general direction of the invading sniper.
