Perfect? No, but I love the Sniper Elite games. Coming up on 1,000 hours in SE 5, and almost that much in 4 before it. Cannot wait for Resistance, just this one map looks more expansive and fleshed out than most of what we saw in 5, so I have high hopes for a good campaign and lots of sneaky head popping.
I must admit that I was hoping for a "new" game and not one big new DLC. We can only hope that the issue of crossing fences or small walls has been improved, where in SE5 you often couldn't jump over it, you just had to go around it.
Fair enough. Gameplay sessions were capped at 20 minutes, so while the first run was more careful and stealth-oriented (but still under time pressure) this made subsequent runs after getting caught much more rushed and careless in order to see more of what the level had to offer in the time given. In past Sniper Elite titles we've spent 60-90 minutes per level and we're looking forward to playing more of this one with the ability to take our time.
@pressplay2000 fair comment. But once shot by the German sniper. You could have switched from medikit to bandage. Which would allow you to continue. Instead allowed yourself end and restart from the game. Doesn't bode well for promotion of game and for yourself. However still good to see some more of what's intore for the brilliant SE series. MajorAWhole IGN. 😜
@@philgreen8277 No worries - the person recording the gameplay here wouldn't be the one reviewing it. We have someone far better at these games, he just didn't go to Gamescom :)
I really wish they had made a sniper elite game in the Pacific, maybe they will who knows, but this game is really just a rehash of what we had in Sniper Elite 5, just a different character and different locations. Hopefully in this game though we can actually go to Paris. The last game gave us very small French areas, we didn’t get to take part in the DDay invasion or anything substantial that you’d like to participate in from a game like this.
@@pressplay2000 oh man that would be cool. I hope so. We really should get some iconic locations. I’d love to roam around a section of Paris. What a great place for sniping.
Agreed - but we only had 20 minutes to play and wanted to see as much of the map as possible :) We can't wait to go hands on again, explore different approaches and take our time.
This gamer is neither Rambo style or just shoot any enemies he spotted, without any care about surrounding. Shoot first, worry later. Not a damn tactical gamer at all.
We generally prefer taking a much slower and tactical approach as well, carefully surveying the situation before moving in. After the last run, we realized the tunnels would have been a great asset. However, we only had 20 minutes, and wanted to see more of the level than we otherwise would have. After taking out the guard overlooking our area, tactics went out the window ;)
Sniper elite series are so addictive

Yep. I've got 1035 on SE5 and 1857 on SE4 myself. Of course I'm 87, retired and not much else to do. haha
Me too.
WHAT IS THIS?? He moved like Karl. (In 2, 3, 4 and 5 I don’t know in SE 1 what’s his name.) So what’s happening.

Played by whom? Clearly someone who does not know the first thing about any of the game mechanics or stealth in general.

@@pressplay2000regardless, this person played like absolute dogshit. Could hardly take anything away from this gameplay

Thank you i thought exact the same thing
Warum setzt er keine Speicherpunkte ?? Und fängt immer wieder von vorne an !!!

A mission in Paris would be fantastic - fingers crossed!

You should have run NE, there was some guards you forgot to aggro
Thanks for the tip! This was a very time-limited demo session and we can't wait to try again when the game launches in just under three months :)
This is not a run & gun game, take your time & observe using binoculars, pick out targets etc, & enemies.

@@pressplay2000 -Can't see more if you keep getting killed in the first 5 minutes. Damn, you're bad at this game.
...esto es un DLC, o un nuevo juego???
Where can I get access to this level?
The game is scheduled for release some time next year.
...más de lo mismo???
Certainly feels familiar - but we'll have to wait for the final game to release next year.
Looks boring 😢
