can't get enough of the new era of Volta. Sound better than ever. I only wish for their next record to not be as restrained as the last one and give us some of these magical jams and complex arrangements.
I hope so too. I want at least one really epic 10+ minuter (Amputechture is my favorite, lol). Wish I could see one of these new shows, but I don't live anywhere they're touring :(
Although I absolutely love their crazier, more jazzy tracks like Wax, Goliath, Tetra and Cygnus, I still do love their ballads, and I get that they're aging so maybe they're unable to play at that same level. But, admittedly, I wasn't a fan of self titled, except for blacklight, I hope they bring back their old touch again in the future.
When they first hit the scene the word was building about the band that you HAD to hear and see. Saw them in 2005 after Francis was released. What an amazing arrangement of musicians all around. The sound production wasn't like it is now obviously but it was crazy fun seeing them, one of the best shows to this day out of hundreds.. Saw them again last week, was thinking they'd play boring new stuff. No. Most of Deloused and a few FTM and AMP songs it was great, very nostalgic. They played stuff that they hadn't in nearly 20 years like Cicatraz. They still got it. I do miss John Theodore and Ikey Owens. Can't wait to see them again.
Quite sure this is the best Volta show since the tour started last year. Way to go Chile! Thanks to the person that captured this magic. Thanks to the band and lovely to see Josh on Bass again. ❤🎉

Excelentes los nuevos integrantes de la banda, batería y teclado tuvieron sus momentos de brillar. Todo el concierto estuvo redondo. Y el espectáculo de luces 🫰🏼
Gracias por subirlo, me emocione mucho ese dia porque por fin pude ver a mi banda favorita, fue un sueño que se cumplió y que genial rememorarlo. Para mi esa noche fue como un transe, un ritual en el que me vi inmerso y del que durante varios días quedo en mi cabeza.
Bare witness to one of our time's great Rock bands! And though to label the Volta is to do them a disservice, I say Rock because that's what these vatos do----They F$#@^n rock! I hope this tour solidifies the bond between Omar and Cedric and sparks more and more Mars Volta!

Their latest record grew on me, I'm loving the diversity of this band's sound!

I love Omar’s use of the tremolo from the Astra Mod. Pedal at the beginning of Cygnus. His work this tour has been amazing.
