This is a nice middle ground between Cedric’s breakdancing period and his “Ok I’m gonna actually sing” period.
i was actively searching for that lol
see them soon now
7:37 what a fill!
2005 was the peak of TMV live. Always love hearing great recordings from this era.
Doug Rose yep... saw them open for SOAD and also on their headline tour in Montreal
Theodore is a machine
Worst mistake they made was letting him go
Del 2003 a 2005 fue el Hecatombe Volta
agreed. Cedric reached max potential vocally at this period. Also this was the last year the Jon was in the band. And for those reasons it's the best.
However I feel like Omar peaked a few years later and progressively got better and utilized more interesting effects. But unfortunately Thomas pridgen ruined it with his overplaying and by that time Cedric was struggling vocally
@@levijessegonzalez3629 Agreed. I think their best performance was at Huxley's Neue Welt in Belgium 2005. Cedric shined during that. Went above and beyond even his studio singing. After that he began to really struggle. It was disappointing ngl. He'd be skipping entire choruses or just "AAAAAA"-ing his way through them, not being able to hit notes. It's hard to sing that style for so many years while also dancing, I'll give that to him. He remains my favorite singer of all time. Dude sounds like an alien angel.
I saw them in 2003 . They mixed up the set for example they would play a song and long interludes as usual and go in to chorus of the previous song played it felt like i was on drugz. Also the energy was higher , the physical performace was really off the charts. Best show ive seen of them all tommorows party in long beach queen mary
Man i wish they did that groovy breakdown for cerpin taxt.
Marcel rippin' those skins!
I was disappointed just reading here that it’s not there. That’s my favorite part of the album.
Best version of this show I can find. Saw same show near Seattle. Make me wish I had shown this to my father at the time. Because he is dead and this tops any 70s act. I was too busy hiding my drug use and time spent. If you like this music now. Please share. Look up De Facto, they just played a show
Jon Theodore hitting those fucking drummmmms
I love the different version of the last part of Take The Veil. Has so much energy and the drums are just relentless.
Rhythm section stole the show with this one.
Cedric looks a lot like Cowboy Bebbop´villain Vicent Volaju
A lot, finally I find someone who thinks the same
Dude yes I thought I was the only one who thought this lol
Modern King Krimsom.
We will tell our kids this was our King Crimson, our Pink Floyd.
Would kill to be there
Thanks for this amazing upload!

3:41 i love this part
I love it to. There's no way I cannot think that Omar was probably on drugs when he wrote that.
@@BTBAM819they were pretty much always on crack and opiates until Jeremy died
Big FANDO Y LIS Film 🎥. In Backdrop.
Beauty! Meaning? Within.....?
Menuda bacanal
Says Cygnuss but they play Drunkship
I wonder why that is. I think it may be because before Frances the Mute came out, Volta used to play parts of Cygnus during Drunkship's breakdown, live. It was pretty cool. I think you see it happen during the Electric Ballroom performance.
Wish Cedric had a dedicated vocal mixing engineer
He did but jeremy ward passed away
Tambo heavy in the mix 😂
Cedric started Take the Veil... pretty well, and then ruined it all as usual... he had no control of his voice in live performances :-/
Not quite the issue. He is able to control his voice pretty well when singing in the accessible portions of his range, usually with good pitch and on key and with reasonable projection and stability. He’s able to control his voice far into 5th and even 6th octaves in falsetto/mixed, which means he clearly has good control. He runs into problems when trying to go into the 5th octave in full voice, which is too high for even many women to sing.
Singing that high in full voice as a male is quite challenging and taxing on the voice, so he often has to sacrifice quality and even pitch to get that high. Now put this in the setting of frequent touring and harsh overuse of voice, a lot of drugs, and his tendency to favor displaying energy and emotion over good technique or technical skill, and you get pretty shaky live performance.
whoooo carrreeesssssss
It's raw, I'm surprised he can even hear himself.
Beto U.U they don’t care about technique live, it’s a warts and all performance. It’s not for every body but it’s all about energy and spirit with them. Always has been.
How about you don't listen then???
