I think it's Rambo's model that makes this charming in a weird way: He looks so goofy and out of place, it's like Kirby going through Call of Duty.
Rambo is like a Japanese demon fox growing tails. Every level he gets another save icon and once he has 9 he's all powerful.
“COME ON COMRADES HE’S A MAN, NOT A GOD!”
The Nine save icons on screen gave Rambo his Godhood.
Rambo fighting Fur-men? Then I think “Rambo: Furst Blood” is an appropriate title if that had happened
To this day, no one knows why this game was even made.
Rambo is basically "Everyone on planet earth all decide to beat down this one Vet from Vietnam to absurd lengths" the series
The irony is that Rambo would soon be in Mortal Kombat 11 and actually has Stallone reprise his role.
If there is one good thing about this game, it helped convince Teyon to actually make a pretty damn decent Terminator FPS in 2019! Apparently Angry Joe's review of Rambo was a major inspiration reference for the devs.
I like that they only had one specific texture of Rambo's shirt when he's shot so that means every single police officer in the town of Hope, Washington can shoot at a man's heart with perfect accuracy.
Saving...
Haha, that save glitch is hilarious!
This game accurately portrays the Viet Cong's strategy of running to within 6 feet of the enemy's cover and stopping to stand there or standing up from their own cover to expose their entire upper bodies. No wonder the Americans never had a chance.
Some say that somewhere, there's a system running this Rambo on-rail shooter that's still saving to this day
Even I've never seen the stacked up save icons. New jank!
For anyone who hasn't played the game -- and really, why the hell would you? -- here's a fun fact:
Really enjoyed the video. David Morrell, the creator of Rambo and author of the First Blood novel, actually wrote the novelizations of the second and third movies, and they were different (arguably better) than the movies. From the foreword in the novels, he seemed pretty happy with his version of the character and didn't have any regrets.
Angryjoes review on this game is legendary
ALL THE SAVE ICONS!!!
i'm stoned loving relaxing with this vid and then I realize 25 mins in there have been 72 save icons covering a third of the screen
