    We need aftermarket glide lock clasp for Seiko watches. Glidelock is superb on summer when you're wrist is sweat

    Although without a doubt the premium clasp is of better quality and robustness, I've found that when working on a laptop having a pressed clasp can be an advantage as it sits flatter and doesn't tend to tap the laptop surface as loudly. I'm finding that having a variety of watches with different build elements is advantageous, allowing me more flexibility depending on the task at hand. Thank you for the link to the premium quality clasp. I expect that at some point in the future, I'll have a bracelet that I will want to upgrade!

      Ya for sure, milled clasps are indeed thicker :)

    I bought a Kamasu RA-AA0003R19B about a year ago but can't stand the crown. The newer Mako3 has basically the same case and has an awesome crown. So I bought the Mako3 RN-AA0820R in the red (JDM for the kanji day wheel), and will put my Kamsu dial and hands in that, along with a domed crystal + clear AR from Seikomods, in order to protect the aluminum bezel with the dome so it doesn't get all scratched up. I also have a Strapcode bracelet with solid end links, but I don't like the fold-over flap that makes a noise, so will replace it with one of these clasps. So I'll end up with combining two watches, with an aftermarket crystal from one supplier, aftermarket bracelet from a second supplier, and an aftermarket clasp from a third supplier, just to end up with my dream Kamasu!

    I'm looking for an OEM bracelet for my DresKX (bought the nato version with the brushed bezel). Would you happen to have any for sale?

      No but I'd recommend a long island watch bracelet like this one or the jubilee one I made a video with

    I really don't think they mill the upper part even on the thicker clasp. If it were to guess I'd say they cut it and the bend it. bending only becomes more complicated at a 10mm thickness, and those are like 2-3mm. milling that would take away way to much excess material making it unpractical and more expensive...

    For the orient kamasu with long island watch oyster bracelet, would you recommend this clasp that is in the video or is there another better one? Thanks

    Sorry if this completely missed me but is the issue the additional flap on the clasp? Because I know there are brands like Victorinox and Tudor which still use the additional flap on their more premium watches and they still look schmick!

    • @NorthernWatchClub
      @NorthernWatchClub  4 месяца назад +1

      It's not about the flap thing it's that cheaper clasps are pressed instead of milled making them feel cheaper and less premium, I believe on Tudors and Victorinoz they are milled with that flap

      @@NorthernWatchClub I have a Kamasu and put a Strapcode jubilee style bracelet on it. It's a nice bracelet with solid end links, but the clasp has a flap which makes this tappy tap tap noise which I hate, so I bought some of these clasps and will fit one. My strapcode is 18mm at the clasp down from 22mm lugs. I bought three as I have a couple of other watches to replace the clasp on as well. Thanks for the heads up.

      You just need a spring bar removal tool to change the watch bracelet.

    • @NorthernWatchClub

      If it's integrated like the one I've shown it's very hard to change the clasp you'd have to find one that fits specifically to the last link of it unfortunately
