Hi Tomo, thank you for this lesson! I have difficulty getting a clean sound out in the eighth minute position around 7:00! Stop the strings with the two middle fingers?
You're welcome! Yes! That's so true so you really need to make your amp volume a bit louder, a little brighter to hear all unwanted noises so clearly!! Simple phrase, most people use 1 and 3rd finger but I generally use 1 and 4 so I can use 2&3 finger for muting harmonics!!

Good morning Tomo- I purchased the book per your recommendation the other night on FB live (as well as in this video). Being that the book is in Japanese, how much of the stuff comes through in the lead sheets. I saw a page on amazon's "preview" pictures for Twinkle Twinkle, however those were just the chords, and did not include some of your fills as played in the song. Does everything come through in the charts, or is there a lot of theory that will not be understood. I have both of your "accelerate" dvd's and enjoyed those and hope to see more material from you soon. (with these new series you're putting out "TFGL, TFGD, etc" I have no doubt that I will keep learning from one of the greats. Thank you sir! PS hope to see you at NAMM again this upcoming year.
Thanks so much! Those fills are all from triads. So you may need to study about triads. No need anything so difficult! But you really need to recognize each degrees.... Rt M3 5 or M3 5 Rt or 5 Rt M3 etc. The book has all those fills. So you bought my etude book/CD right? You're welcome! I will add more videos!!
TomoFujitaMusic yes it arrives tomorrow. Wouldve came today but didnt know what i was clicking and accidentally cancelled the order. Smh. Yes, regarding the triads and harmony dictates melody my guitar teacher looked at me and said see, I have been teaching you properly lol. I also pulled up Bb blues video you did a while back and he had a blast, bc immediately he said thats Ted’s blues (he used to study under Ted Greene for 30yrs) and we went through the progression. Keep it coming. I know i speak for most when I say that these vids are very much appreciated.
I have this book too and as you say, it doesn't contain the jazzy verse of Twinkle Twinkle. I was able to nail it by watching his Twinkle Twinkle video on RUclips. If you're familiar with 7th, 13th and triads, it shouldn't be too hard.
Thanks so much! My etude book/CD is highly recommended (Written in Japanese but most you can really understand with written music/tabs/cd! And very inexpensive! You must go to www.amazon.co.jp Please copy this .. トモ藤田 独奏エチュード ... for search.
Hello Tomo, sorry if I still disturb you, I have short fingers and fat, if I put the thumb as you see you at minute 4:12, the middle finger stop the chord below, before going to commit suicide I wanted to know from you if there is a another position that does not use the thumb!
Always you can find another way to play things. And limitation is the key to open up another idea that you never thought about. First don't worry about that part. Play with same fingering and forget about thumb. but try to mute other strings around 2nd & 3rd strings. And try to strum a little less (smaller so that you won't hit other strings) Try it!
@@TomoFujitaMusic Your technique is so so so so so good Tomo! "Just Funky" is such an amazing piece ( Just a little hard with the triplets haha ) Do you have any tips on where to search for good guitar music theory? I've never learned any theory, just started playing and fiddling around.

hey tomo thanks for the lesson! those are not triplets though. those are normal 32th notes in a binary system ;)
You're welcome! Thank you!
8:34 "After that, you do triplets" As if the down down up isn't hard enough on its own haha!
Thank you! I will do more TFGL videos!!
Thanks so much!!
You the man ... I would kill (not literally) to jam with you!!

Why don't you upgrade to PRS Silver Sky Stratocaster like your friend John Mayer?
Very soon! This guitar is... Fender SRV signature Stratocaster!
Siddharth Karunakaran Don’t ever make me pronounce your name. Sounds like a good star wars name though.
