Liam, bringing Simon on to share this drill was a stroke of genius! I've been struggling with an over-the-top swing for ages, and this visual of using a water bottle as an obstacle is just the kind of practical advice I needed. The way Simon broke it down makes so much sense and feels doable. Can't wait to try this out at the range. Thanks for always finding new ways to help us improve our game. Cheers to lower scores ahead! 🏌♂💧
@@GolfMates I guess what it used to be like going to Belek...you'd fly into Antalya then get on a coach and get bussed down to the resort. The resorts were great but the roads down and around them were decidedly dodgy 🙄🙄🙄
Excellent drill simply explained by Simon as usual, .makes this very understandable also knowing the mechanics that are required to achieve the correct result with the slight differences that a!low adjustment to the pattern of play, Great
It varies based on the club you are using. If you don’t have one of the more fancy expensive swing planes that have the degrees imprinted on the dial adjuster, where the stick goes into the swing plane , set the angle of the stick to similar to how the club shaft of the club you are using, when it sits behind the ball. In other words mirror the shaft angle of the club.
Yeah, with the closed stance line drawn on and the alignment stick it’s hard to see. Adjust long a swing with the legs is not addressing the swing problem.
But if it works for people as a quick fix but not a full fix who cares right? It’s all about getting out, having fun and feeling like you’re hitting better shots.
yes I tend to block it but that's why I only aim slightly right. If it doesn't draw it's on the right side of the green. Although I do play a fade 80% of the time because it's more reliable.
What a fantastic lesson, and great help. Thanks 😊
Great lesson with great people.
That is brilliant and so simple
Nice little lesson video thank you Simon and Liam, love the music at the end
Looks so simple superb Simon 👍
Must admit I do liké his tips, he's a gem

Hard to beat using drills that Tommy Fleetwood uses 👍
So true
Hi Liam, really enjoyed the video. What is the part that holds the alignment sticks,l would like to purchase one.👍😁
What angle is the alignment stick ?

Love a lesson from Rick Flair! Wooo
Rick Flair. hahaha. you win the internet sir
What degree angle is the stick set at please ??❤
Keep it the angle of your shaft at address or slightly higher to make it easier to swing under the shaft.
Hi Liam. Can you put in a link to where to get an alignment stick holder like the one the video?
Google "golf swing plate" and Bob's your uncle.
What angle do you place the upright stick to the path Stick
Swim on we’re do you get the pole holders
Where can you purchase that exact plane trainer Liam?
Not sure
Liam, can you share the training aid name.
Just alignment stick base
What’s that training aid called, cheers
Just get a few alignment sticks. You can stick it right in the ground. You don't need a stand.
@@topgunbass cheers, needing with the plate as the sticks won’t work where I practice.
Down the line look would help

what angle is that pole on tho?!
❤
Surely the differential on P6 is parallel to x3 of the perpendicular axis of C3PO 😆
Confusing. Simon said "Over it" on the back swing and "Under it" on the downswing, but then the actually shot goes over the stick. 5:57 and 6:34.
I hit draws by aiming slightly right and going more inside on my backswing but staying on that same plane on the downswing.
But the miss is a block right or hook?

Hold on.. Wheres Dave the rave?
Bl soon
What about face to path…..
Not complicated at all !!
none of those shots where very good, so i am not convinced yet :-)) But i like the channel 😋
Did you see the cross wind
@@GolfMates I did. But be honest, that was not good. First shot was over the top. ha ha All good mate
Think simon may need to spend some time practising his drills…
Simon talks a good game tho …. 🤔
@@kirkjerram1903 absolutely. I love his no tension in the arms video. Very knowledgeable pro. 🙏🏻🏌🏻♂️⛳️
That was awful all his shots were thinned
You're missing the point of it
They were not thinned. He was hitting half shots with a half swing.
