Great review. My primary job is a Math teacher, and I have fell in love with using my iPad Pro professionally and as a media consumption device. I do have a MacBook to cover me in case I run to something that the iPad can’t properly do, but that has gradually improved throughout the last several years to the point that I no longer bring my MacBook to work.
Great review. I have an iMac for most heavy lifting but live off my iPad Pro M4 for everything else. I’m in higher ed, so lots of papers, presentations, and spreadsheets, iPad Pro hasn’t let me down yet!
The file management system is a little clunky compared to a MacBook. I’ll admit that. But I can still get my files where they need to be, drag and drop several files at once, access cloud storage, etc. I’m more tolerant than other users might be though. Thank you for watching and commenting!
As a traveling photographer I used to bring my late iPad Pro M2 every time I had an assignment abroad. I prefer editing on the iPad than on the MacBook Pro, it’s just so comfortable to be able to walk around in the house/hotel/bar/wherever. But ended up selling it cause of the slow file handling. Importing photos takes forever and exporting them even longer. Also Lightroom takes up space even though deleting the files, so know and then I had to reinstall Lightroom just to clear up the space. In the end, the file handling was to slow “on-the-go.” Heard M4 version has the same problem . Otherwise I would love to go full tablet in my work, but we are not there just yet. Sorry for all the rambling :)
@@JonasPerssonPhoto this is great feedback thank you! It’s ironic you say this because I just crashed my iPad trying to work on 4k 120 fps video. I looked this up and it’s because the lower storage models of the pro only have 8 gb of ram…the 1 and 2 TB models have 16 gb of ram which is more ideal for photo and video editing! I wish I would have known that before I purchased. Video coming soon. Thanks for commenting!
Good video. I have been close to ordering the 12.9/13” iPads in the past but have always found them way too big, too heavy…. I love the 11” iPad Pro, I actually have 2. An M1 and an M2. I use them for my business and media consumption If I really need to watch something or do laptop specific tasks, I’d use the old faithful 2015 13” MBP or on a larger screen, the 16” MacBook Pro M1 Pro. Which I’ll never part with. One thing for sure, apple makes products that can last a long time . Thanks again.
yes I had the 11 inch for a long time and it was a great size! Once my laptop was gone, I was glad to have this larger size. That MacBook Pro will last forever. I still have a 2015 golden MacBook that still runs pretty well. Thank you for watching and commenting!
1x(10/12/24)…….done ..thank you. Great from a teacher’s perspective. Suggestion: See if you could do a video with the iPad Pro & a digital white board (electronic board like a Samsung Flip Pro) of some kind. Thanks
For such a premium priced device in 2024, especially knowing there most like won’t another iPad Pro unveiled for another 18-24 months, I am very disappointed my M4 iPad has WiFi6E and not WiFi7. My mesh WiFi7 network on a 2.4GB/370MB service seem to be fully utilized only by my iPhone 16. Apple, it’s time to lay WiFi6E to rest.
Hello! If you purchase your iPad directly through the Apple website, there isn’t a way to directly apply a MacBook trade in. However, you can use the link below to trade in your Mac and receive an apple gift card. This can be applied at time of purchase. You can also visit an Apple Store and they take care of all of it for you like they did for me! Hope this helps! www.apple.com/shop/trade-in

Great to hear a fellow math teacher is taking advantage of this awesome device! Thank you for watching and commenting!

Thank you! It really is an amazing device. The iPad has come a long way!
How about file system access? This is the main reason I keep the macbook.

Been debating on grabbing one, but I have an M1 11 inch.
Just pains me that they restricted the new pen to the M4 while the M1's are just as capable..
Oh wow I didn’t realize that the new pencil is not compatable! It looks like it’s because of the new camera positioning. Lame…
👌🏻
thank you! Glad you are enjoying the content!

lmao me getting a notification had be bugging out wondering why something so bright in my room

I actually used to have access to a Samsung flip in another teaching position. Not a bad device!
