I remember when he once called Milka Duno "Milk-n-Donuts". I still get a laugh out of that to this day. R.I.P. to a broadcasting/writing legend.

Tommy Hubbs Get real, Tommy. Book smarts doesn’t equal race smarts, and nobody said she was dumb. Drivers should have more experience than she did at her first Indy 500. It’s the same thing that got Paul Dana killed.

We were lucky to have him cover the sport, but especially lucky we had him during the split. He hounded the right people to do the right thing for years. I’m doing so he jeopardized his career for the sake of the sport.
Robin’s service to Indycar goes beyond what many people in positions of real power went.
    God speed RM.

    Personal Memory:
Back in 2018, I attended my first Toronto Indy. Just before the race started, Robin came up into the grandstand I was in, and talked about the Canadian fanbase for his reporting segment (You can actually find me in there). I think he chatted with a few people before he was on air as well. Seemed like a really cool dude.
I don’t watch Indycar that much any more, compared to 2015-2018, but I always liked listening to Robin because it always seemed like he knew what he was talking about and it sounded like he truly loved the sport.
Rest In Peace, Robin. You’ll NEVER be forgotten.

When I first started paying attention to Robin, I kind of didn't like him. I didn't get it, but once I did I enjoyed the heck out of him. Yep, he could say maddening things at times but it came from his passion of motorsports. He LOVED racing, and it was clear if you got it. The racing world has lost another legend today. Godspeed Robin.
