Nice tutorial! At about 15:10, instead of using rotation you could have used the scale tool in the y axis to perfectly flatten the heel, plus vertex snap to get it on exactly the same height as the sole of the shoe.

um it s actually not supposed to be glass in the first place. It is a mistranslation from the french word "verre" and not "vair" which means squirrel fur but other than that the render looks nice

at insert edge loop tool it only grabs the vertical lines not horizontal how do you go about that - l have been stuck for two hours trying to grab the loop line on the sole and still stuck please help
If that happens you "corrupted" the geometry somewhere during the process. Try the cleanup function in Maya ( see video on my channel ) and try again

following your tutorial for the 5th time trying to nail maya modelling however l wish you had picked a sandal instead of slipper - cause l m in process of modelling one and having hard time to nail the belts and satchels on the sandals - lemme look up your channel and see if you have done some thing similar that can help me out

You can start doing it, not very complicated of course, but you seem very experienced in 3d
I think Mike can do 3d characters model, but i think the reason he turns it down, is because it can be really really hard to show and make a tut about what you do when you make characters. + its takes a loooong time, and if you have to make a tut about it, the time would be about x2.. in other words Mike would have tu use alot of hours and if he dont upload more than 1 video every 14day because you give him such a big project, he would lose subs. if you really want to model Micky Mouse, i would suggest that you take the first 20 of the Mikes tuts videos, when you understand everything you would know how to model Micky mouse yourself ;)
This would be better in Mudbox and simpler.
