    I am in the US, and I just noticed that you can change the stress monitoring level to continuously. Also, the sleep monitoring does offer the deep sleep, REM, light sleep and awake. I guess I got it at the right time. Thank you for the review. It really nice to see physician review this type of technology. Thank you again.

    I like the stress feature because I was telling my son im suffering serious levels of stress. I assumed he was feeling same when he was acting revved up. But when we did our stress check (my first), he was in the blue and I was at the top couldn't go further red. He looked at me like I'm mad, and I was shocked that he's fine!!

    Samsung are waiting on FDA approval to be able to roll out the blood pressure and ecg functionality to their Active 2 and Watch 3. Once approved they'll push an update, possibly late 2021. I think this was known at the time this video was released.

    Since this video they improved the sleep tracking (but it still sucks). Personally I only use it to track heartrate, steps, and I use strava from the watch to track bike rides, runs, and walks.

    Hope you are a doctor. It's saying the radiation is high for this watch. Have you tested that..? And also its saying this watch is not recommended for daily usage.. Do you have any information related to this??. Awaiting for your reply.

    Great review. There's maybe, maybe, I'm not sure, 3rd party apps in the Samsung store that interpret the data better. But as for the rep reading, maybe an os update. I had to install a hack to get ECG working since it's only for Samsung phones and i have a Pixel but I need my brother's desktop to do the blood pressure one. That's kind of annoying because that can be life saving. They do need a heart attack detection app but at least it detects AFib. Sleep apnea detection and more would be nice but yeah, your review was spot on. Oh and some 3rd party apps for the Samsung watch make you buy them. Vo2max in the day of COVID-19 would help and the blood pressure being universal.

  • @victortsang553
    @victortsang553 3 года назад

    Doc, good work! I wonder if you can revisit this and add BP and ECG function review? would be great to learn from a doctor how reliable Samsung's watch does these measurement or better what/how we can use these data.
    btw I think a way to distinguish your work to other tech review is how a person can use these data to improve their health. Say, what sort of mix of number is ideal for exercise, or how a patient with certain sickness can use these watch to monitor their health and decide to go get help.

    I spend an hour in Gym and I want to make the most out of it. Regulating my workouts with a watch is detrimental to my focus in the workouts. So I never wear one in the Gym. After using this watch for a month, I think the pros are sleep tracking (it's very helpful), myriad of watch faces, health tracking, music control, reminders, and notifications. The cons are: motion sensor (not perfect), battery life (approx: 1.5 days), poor software management, no SpO2 yet, and screen size (44mm still feels small). But for the price (I paid $135 including tax in the US), no other watches can beat it.

      Hi Nate, thanks for your question. Would suggest an appointment with your doctor to discuss this one further. It may be nothing at all or maybe something as in some people you can get short bursts of irregular rhythms. The ecg feature hasn’t landed on watch active 2 devices in the Uk as yet so haven’t been able to test it but if it’s saved the trace for you do show that to your doctor.

      @@DigitizeHealth thanks man I was a bit anxious when I did it the first time my anxiety kicked in lol but I have 18 other readings saying my heart beat is normal. There is a reason why the fda took so long to approve it cause it most likely will give false readings here and there making people stress over being misdiagnosed. It even basically says on the app take these results with a grain of salt. ( not in those words)And oh yeah I don't have a doctor and it will cost too much for a visit. Good ole usa

    The counting of this watch is not so good...I usually go on jumping,this is a very hard one-hour fitness training,and the watch counted 201 calories. That's a joke. Honor Band5 counted on the same training 500-550 calories,so that's true. The sleep monitoring is also false. I don't like my watch active2. And the battery life when you're using LTE...it's about 12-24 hours....

  • @crissb9357
    @crissb9357 3 года назад

    If you respect exactly the indication of the watch interface , the exercices like Squats, streching, lunges , swimming, walking, arm curls, belive me they are verry good counted. Please try again.

    • @DigitizeHealth
      @DigitizeHealth  3 года назад

      Thank you so much for your feedback! Definitely worth retesting this formally. I have tried on both the watch active 2 and Galaxy Watch 3 and generally speaking most exercises are well counted except the lunges. Always worth re testing features as software updates no doubt transform the experience. A note to anyone reading: the Apple Watch does not have as good a rep counting facility in built (you have to use some flimsy 3 party apps) as the Samsung Watches so the fact that in my experience the lunges was not well counted should not be the sole reason for deciding against the watch!! Criss B hope you liked the view and do subscribe to the channel for more! Stay safe, and stay healthy!
