Seconding Question! as the next one, if you like the more melodic and less choppy. That song is more of this, but more refined as it came later in the discography.
Hey grlfriend, I totally agree. "An open mind is a prerequisite to an open heart." Small minds will always lash out at what they dont understand. Take care, Peace
The whole Toxicity album was unbelievable. When it came out I was 16 an I literally just couldn’t listen to anything else for almost 6 months straight, so much so that the CD became unplayable and I had to re buy it. Good memories.
You really might want to grab 'Spiders' music video - it is the song from their debut album. All the others that you have reacted to up to this point are from their second one called 'Toxicity'. There are loads of gems on their next ones believe me, they were only getting better and better. Start checking out their 'Steal This Album' stuff that followed 'Toxicity'. 'Innervision', 'BOOM!', 'Nuguns', 'Mr. Jack', 'I-E-A-I-A-I-O', 'Highway Song', 'Ego Brain' etc...
I'm glad you reacted to this track. Now, a System of a Down song that will blow your hair back is Spiders. It really showcased their talent and songwriting abilities on their first album, and has such an eerie feeling to it
No disrespect, but some of us remember renting actual VHS videos from the local Blockbuster and making sure it was back at the beginning before returning 🤣 We literally drove to the local store, browsed the latest releases, and then took it to the counter to rent. God I feel old 🙃
@neepers22, My OCD went even further. After rewinding I'd queue it up to the start of the previews so the next poor sod didn't have to watch the crap before they kicked in. Sad. I know.
I'm old enough that I fell in love with this song when it was first released. I love all of their music but this is the best one for me personally. I love watching your first time reactions! It feels almost like I'm hearing the music myself for the first time. Thanks for this one!
SOAD is quite often spectacular at smacking the audience in the face. I love this one, because it has a bit more sophistication in how it delivers the punch. I really enjoy the themes about fame, hero-worship, and group-think as well. Of course a lot of their stuff is full of commentary on the ills of modern society.
Radical suggestion: make multiple playlists, by genre (thrash metal, classic metal, nu metal, grunge, pop, hip hop, etc). its easier to manage and you'll hear songs on a regular basis that you like.
"When you lose small mind you free your life." Political af. And the beat is hard af. I wear my t-shirt to this song proudly. They really make you think. They're so badass. Looks like you think so too. Great reaction!!
This music feels so much like the vibe of The Matrix movies. Can't see one without thinking of the other. RATM does also.(Rage Against the Machine) And, they do the closing banger for one of them. THAT'S who you should hear soon! Esp while you're still jamming on SOAD. Ooh... Tom Morello from RATM, was in a band with Chris Cornell from Soundgarden ... AUDIOSLAVE. And it's my fave of Chris' groups. Coz of Tom, actually. (I love watching you first experience these sounds.)
I've heard this song so many times but it seems just a few weeks ago I HEARD the first line of this for the first time with understanding. "Life is a waterfall. We're one in the river and one again after the fall" So deep and I can't believe I never really caught it before.
The thing with System of a Down is all their music is so different and great in different ways, hard to pick favorit. Each time you hear them it's like hearing them for the first time
FALLING IN REVERSE - WATCH THE WORLD BURN!!! It will GO OFF viral my man!! My band used to warm up at jam and recording sessions with SOAD Aerials, Toxicity and Sugar! Such fun songs to play live!!
I love the way Serj’s voice is so unique and for me, it has that tremolo, a very quick vibrato that combined with bright and nasal sounds brings me the feeling of oriental singing or something arabic, maybe because of they’re backgroung. I just remembered the day i’ve listened on MTV for the first time but by that time we couldn’t rewind haha we had to wait until it was played again but man, what a vibe people used to create😍
Greetings from Portugal. 4 words for this masterpiece: Chills in the brain! Literally. I felt chills in the back of my brain every single time I hear it. Next ones? Lonely day, Spiders, Question. The last one is the best one. Yep, I understand you. Note: Following your Playlist on Spotify. Keep rockin'. Peace
You're absolutely right, this song is more straight forward than other SOAD songs. It is also my fave SOAD song, I 110% expected you to love it and be hooked in the first seconds 😂 As was I, when I first heard it 20+ years ago. It's epic, got raw emotions in the vocals, and some deep lyrics as well. Excellent reaction, I really like your approach and enthusiasm to these new songs😊
Bro, I love that your digging SOAD, they're my all time favorite band. And don't worry, plenty more bangers where that one came from ;-) Also, would love to see you start doing full album reactions, that'd be sick af. Keep it up man!
I love your reactions- I couldn’t wrap my head around why people like reactions, but I think I‘ve finally grasped the reason why they grew on me while watching you: it‘s a mixture between seeing a live band on stage and hearing an amazing song for the first time. Collectively we share your emotions and get a glimpse of the rush back, at discovering the song for the first time again. It must be obvious to most, but I feel I am just now able to but it into words. Thank you for that- is lovely to see the sparkle and joy in songs I have loved for decades! 🎉
I had the unfortunate or fortunate task of choosing songs for my best friends funeral a few years ago And this was one of them Find it hard to listen too, have tears in my eyes Such a good song When I saw you were doing this I wasn’t going to listen but I’m glad I did Thank you x
The first time I heard this, my late husband and I were listening to whatever that rock station was in Canton OH, when this record first came out. The DJ was outside smoking a jo9int (yes, you read that right) and accidentally let the song play including the extension at the end that never made it to the radio version. We went out and got that record and SOAD were a daily part of our lives until his death. You've been batting 1.000 lately, dude! (Ask an American) Keep up the good work!!
I genuinely enjoy watching your reactions to these bands 😊 Just keep in mind that the rabbit hole of kickass music from the mid-60’s through the 90’s is deeeep 😁 🤘🏻🤘🏻
If you’re gonna continue down the System of a Down rabbit hole, Sugar is an absolute masterclass. I suggest the music video, it adds a preface and context you’d otherwise miss.
9:48 that’s the beauty of metal brother. Welcome 🤘🏻Add Mekong Delta - The Music of Erich Zaan to your list, perfect for when you start doing full album live streams. Oh and my usual mention of Machine Head 😁🤘🏻🤘🏻
I heard this song when i was in high school in the early 2000s. Didnt think much of it since i was into rap music at the time. Trying to fit in as a white dude going to a school when i am the minority, actually loved rap/hip hop in the late 90s/early 2000s. Ive been listening to everything music ever since graduating in 2002 and expanding my mind. Listening to your reaction made me appreciate SOAD all over again. I actually forgot how damn good they are. Thank you for covering this. Its channels like yours that i love watching to bring me back to what i have listened to and forgot about. Keep rockin Bruv.
Honestly you won’t find one like this in their discography and this IMO is the best they’ve done. It’s one of my favorite songs of this genre. It’s just beautiful. I’m glad you enjoyed it too. It was fun watching you hear it for the first time.
One of us, one of us!😁Welcome to the metal family mate. Genuinely makes my heart full watching you react to all these different songs. First one i saw you do was Blind by KoRn and it almost made me cry😂 Keep it up man, there's so many good ones to discover😉🙌
I'd do "Question". It will definitely take you on a journey. It will also confuse the hell out of you. That is this bands talent. Keep doing what you're doing. We really appreciate it
The first time I heard SOAD, I was high AF! I got to listen to the entire 1st album and was so blown away. There was nothing like it/them before. I quit smoking, but I miss the combo of great first time listens and good ol sweetleaf. Keep them coming Mollyboy!
My absolute favorite SOAD song! I know I've asked before but I'm asking again...DIO! Holy Diver, The Last In Line, Rainbow In The Dark. His voice is so beyond!! I know your only regret will be not listening sooner. I'm gonna keep bugging you til you listen. I just love your reactions! ❤
Hey Molly, nice reaction :) Too many "best ones" looks like :D Let me add one for you that not much reactions are around: Black Sabbath, voice by Ronnie James Dio, song "The Sign of the Southern Cross". Amazing chills down the spine with that...
Also, was rewatching and was thinking Godsmack. You will love the guitar and vocals. Try Voodoo or I stand Alone to begin. I love Godsmack and this channel!!
My favorite part of this song is when the guitar is REALLY played towards the end with the power behind it. All and all, an amazing band with a lot of great songs.
One of the best vocalists in the whole world of music and the guitarist Daron harmonises so well with Serj \m/ The more of S.O.A.D. you listen the better it will get for you!
I caught the very end of this premiere earlier today. I knew I missed something great. I literally had happy tears because you loved it 😂 thank you for this reaction!
Sugar!!! 💯

Same song goes hard!
Same man, makes me emotional every time i hear it.
"Question" by SOAD is probably gonna have a similar effect on you..."this is the new best song for me" . I felt you on that comment lol
Seconding Question! as the next one, if you like the more melodic and less choppy. That song is more of this, but more refined as it came later in the discography.
Yeah question is great...maybe my favorite vid...
One of the best lyrical lines ever... "When you lose small mind you free your life."
And it's so true. I was raised a massive bigot.
It wasn't until I hated myself for it and wanted to change that I felt free.
Not the opening line to Cigaro? 😜
Facts
Hey grlfriend, I totally agree. "An open mind is a prerequisite to an open heart." Small minds will always lash out at what they dont understand. Take care, Peace

'When you lose small mind, you free your life.'

spiders is one of my favorites
That s the first one i've heard. I was 17, i'm 40 now.
I'll always remember
“Life is a waterfall, we’re one in the river and one again after the fall” unreal lyric by my fellow Armenians, SOAD!
"Be kind, rewind" -MollyBoyTV (2023)
No disrespect, but some of us remember renting actual VHS videos from the local Blockbuster and making sure it was back at the beginning before returning 🤣 We literally drove to the local store, browsed the latest releases, and then took it to the counter to rent. God I feel old 🙃
Yep They sold rewinders!
@neepers22, My OCD went even further. After rewinding I'd queue it up to the start of the previews so the next poor sod didn't have to watch the crap before they kicked in. Sad. I know.

Welcome to the metal community my dude. We're glad to have you here :)
Hell yeah!🤘❤
I forget if you have done Question! Yet because it’s pretty close to Areals. Also Streamline is pretty sick.
SOAD is quite often spectacular at smacking the audience in the face. I love this one, because it has a bit more sophistication in how it delivers the punch. Probably listened to this track 1000x and still get shivers at the same parts.
Every damn time.
"When you lose small mind you free your life." Political af. And the beat is hard af. I wear my t-shirt to this song proudly. They really make you think.

My favorite SOAD song, I discovered the band when I heard this song. It still hits so hard and beautifully even after I've heard it so many times...
I like that youre going to react to whole albums, then you can listen to it in your free time without losing songs that you could ve reacted to
OOOO I am like a giddy school girl right now. 😅 Can't wait to see this one but I already know it's going to be amazing. 💜

I’m sure you will enjoy Every song from their Toxicity album. Every song from that album is fire.
Great reaction bro. 🤙🏾
Serj and Daren's discordant harmonizing at the end is haunting. You're correct, too; they leave you wanting more.
amazing vocals amazing transitions.. SOAD musical roller coaster of greatness!!!
That's why I love genuine reaction videos. I feel like I'm listening to it for the first time too.
Because you have your passion and love for genuine and good music, and that is why you are turning into one of us, a metalhead \m/
Massive bass rhythms in that one. As with most SOAD that bass guitar shines!
Shavo Odadjian, their bass player was actually the bands unofficial manager. Shavo was a working machine
Mate I for one would LOVE whole album reactions!!!
I'd do "Question". It will definitely take you on a journey. It will also confuse the hell out of you. That is this bands talent. Keep doing what you're doing. We really appreciate it

Great reaction bruh 🔥
This song is just ❤ there are layers to it
The live version of this from the Astoria in 2005 DVD is the best version ever, the vocal harmonies are out of this world.
My favorite SOAD song is whichever I happen to be listening to at the moment. They're all so good, and so unique
you got that one!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥much more melodic, right? sprinkled with that Armenian flavor...love it!
I love that whole album. So good. And Serj's voice is so unique. Love it. And the video is dope as well.
Also, was rewatching and was thinking Godsmack. You will love the guitar and vocals. Try Voodoo or I stand Alone to begin. I love Godsmack and this channel!!
Stunning song of system thanks bro, 🤘❤️💛💚
Glad you enjoyed this. Finding new music is one of lifes gifts. Cheers
Aerials was my favorite in high school not only coz of song but video.. so atmospheric and powerful
My favorite part of this song is when the guitar is REALLY played towards the end with the power behind it. All and all, an amazing band with a lot of great songs.
