    Jamie, I’ve been catching your videos once in a while when the algorithm throws one at me. This one really grabbed my attention though. I have been trying to decide what single brand I could use as my “go to”. I’ve tried some Meguiars, Suds Lab, Turtle Wax, and some Superior Products. I’ve also had some good luck with P&S products because of bulk availability. But they’re still more pricey than Superior Products. After hearing you say what I’ve been thinking , I’m convinced I can give my customers just as good a job using a non designer brand product. Also, I like your advice because it’s down to earth and based on practical experience running a business and having to make decisions based economics and profitability. Ok- I don’t know if I’m making sense or just rambling so I am going to hit the like and subscribe buttons and ring the bell. Thanks for your good and thoughtful work.

    As a gloss intensifier, IMO, E-Z Shine is comparable to a boutique brand and the manufacturer doesn't make untenable claims regarding its longevity. I appreciate an honest company. Truly impressive look. Easy to work with. I use it undiluted. Better than, say, Ethos Resist at a fraction of the cost.
    As long as we're talking about Superior, their Non-acid Cleaner may be my favorite APC. Fantastic at 4:1. Aqua Gloss is an interesting product, too. Very nice on interiors at 3:1. Surprisingly so. A deep look with a factory-like hint of a sheen. Love it on tires, undiluted, with a very short dwell time before leveling or 1:1 with a longer dwell. Enjoyed the video.

    F30 wheel acid followed up with Dark Fury is an absolute miracle worker. It ripped 5 years worth of baked on brake dust like it was nothing. Absolutely unbelievable. I used the superior leather lotion on my seats and interior. It's phenomenal. I don't know how pros use anything but superior products if they are working with cars that are not high end.

    JAMIE! It would be AMAZING if you would do a wash using your product lineup in order of how you would wash a vehicle. I’m interested in what order & which Superior products you recommend using to do a maintenance wash, dry & protection. What you recommend using if you haven’t had any paint protection applied & what you recommend if you have had paint protection applied. Lastly, what you recommend to use for those colder months where you don’t or can’t drag out your pressure washer to do a proper wash. Doing video on a Model 3 would be ideal (the car I own, lol).

    • @jamiesdetailing
      @jamiesdetailing  Месяц назад

      Hey I might be able to do something like that for you! I don’t know if I will have a model 3 available for it but the process would be the same. Definitely stay posted for future videos!

    • @skeyhani9755
      @skeyhani9755 Месяц назад

      @ That would be awesome. You say you don’t do bucket washes really anymore, so, what is it that you do? Rinseless? If you’ve gone over this in your videos & I missed it would you post link to what your preferred method is currently?
      Lastly, I have a couple questions. I’ve used Gyeon Foam which is a prewash that starts at ph 14 & drops after you let it sit & rinse it off is there a Superior product you recommend that could do the same job? Second question, & this may be a stupid idea since I’ve never seen anyone do it or suggest it, but, if you do prewash with a foam product that breaks down organics & rinse off the larger dirt followed with an APC in a foam cannon can you do a contact wash using the foam that is on the car? My issue is that only way I can get dirt off the car is with contact wash which I’d rather not do.

    • @jamiesdetailing
      @jamiesdetailing  Месяц назад

      @skeyhani9755 hey if you checkout my video on my “modified rinseless wash method that is basically what I do for most vehicles. My 2 favorite prewashes are 2oz Muscle Magic with cherry foam or Dirt buster, or I just use road warrior which is a neutral presoak/soap. I also spot treat any bugs or heavy road grime with Dark Fury.
      It will all depend on the vehicle though sometimes I just use dark fury and go straight to my contact wash. If you have a good prewash your contact wash will be super safe and if I am foaming the car for the contact wash I just foam and wash rinsing my wash media after each panel or so.

    • @jamiesdetailing
      @jamiesdetailing  Месяц назад

      @skeyhani9755 second question APC breaks down organics so I would use them together on the same step to save time. Otherwise you are basically dojng a contact wash with APC and I typically would avoid this. Every vehicle will be different and sometimes you will be able to take shortcuts like if the paint is already in need of a correction you won’t really need to be so careful.
      For instance the other day I cleaned a 87 corvette with trashed paint. It didn’t need a presoak since it is a garage queen so I just went straight into a contact wash using my APC and Soap in a foam cannon.
      Sorry for the long replies I hope you got something from this 😅

I had the exterior painted with bedliner paint several years ago. Washing is done with a soft, nylon bristle brush to get in the nooks and crannies of the paint. Would something like Formula 4 work as a protectant? Because of the rough surface, wiping a polish down with a microfiber cloth will not work. Looking for something that I can spray on, rinse, and get some sort of protection.

Like adding something to it? I have also found that a little goes a long way. Thanks for the review of these lesser-known products, I'm definitely going to pick some of them up to try out! I've seen a lot of videos and hype about Formula 4 in a 10:1 dilution ratio as a spray on wipe off after a wash to prevent water spots. Would TEC582 1:1 work as a good alternative to Formula 4 as a drying aid to prevent water spot formations? I like the idea of F4 and how cheap it is but it doesn't seem to leave any lasting protection on the vehicle, whereas TEC582 is more expensive but protects the vehicle for a couple months.

    • @jamiesdetailing
      @jamiesdetailing  4 месяца назад +1

      TEC582 can be used very similarly to F4. You can use it as a rinse aid at 1:1 And yes it definitely last longer than f4. I don’t use formula 4 too much anymore because I like 582 so much better and I use a different wash method. I really only use formula 4 when I am doing a more traditional wash process. I use a rinseless wash to finish my wash process and go directly into drying with 582. If the rinseless dries on the panel, it’s not a big deal because it’s just polymer spots. Checkout my modified rinseless wash process video and you will see how I typically wash in the direct sun.

    I tried using formula 4 once. Either i did something wrong, or that stuff is just straight up dust magnet. Tried it at 10-1 out of a sprayer. not even a half hour after i was done there ws a substantial amount dust on my truck. Either it attracts dust hardcore, or its just cuz my truck is black. When it comes to ceramic coatings, most manufacturers will probably tell you not to use anything on top of them however, I know we’re all looking for a little bit more gloss so just be aware that if you are using toppers on a ceramic coating that you may need to Strip wash/rejuvenate that coating much more frequently. When it comes to my personal vehicle, I love using toppers and use EZ-Shine Often and it looks and smells great when I’m finished. • @jamiesdetailing
      @jamiesdetailing  7 месяцев назад

      Dark Fury will get it done but Bugz Be Gone is a dedicated bug remover. Bugz Be Gone from my experience is better at removing bugs. Usually you just spray it directly on. Then I go about my normal prewash process and power wash it off. Most bugs will come right off and if you have to scrub Bugz Be Gone is really soapy and slick when using a bug sponge. It’s probably worth trying but if you have dark fury you’re probably good without it.
      I work on Semi trucks often and use Bugz Be Gone All the time on fleet vehicles but I don’t see my normal passenger vehicles with that many bugs so I typically just use Dark Fury unless it’s excessively covered in bugs like on the front of Semi trucks.

    What about using in the soap reservoir on a pressure washer?

    • @jamiesdetailing
      @jamiesdetailing  7 месяцев назад

      You most definitely can use them full strength directly in the reservoir however you would need to know what your low pressure injector dilutes the product in your reservoir to. For instance most basic injectors might do something like 50:1 or 100:1 or 150:1 so acid and dark fury might be hard to use in a reservoir because it dilutes the product to much. Most soaps will be fine but you will need to know your dilution ratio of your injector/ reservoir first.
      You can figure that out yourself by filling your reservoir with water then see how many gallons of water comes out of the hose by the time the reservoir is empty. Then do your calculation to get your injector dilution ratio. Then you would need to technically dilute the product in the reservoir to have the appropriate dilution to come out of the gun at the correct ratio.
      You could do some research into down stream injectors to get a better sense of the calculations needed. You can checkout some pressure washing channels they are actually pretty good at explaining that type of stuff. They typically dilute bleach in a bucket to get the proper dilution out of their downstream injectors or x-jets

      I just made my own labels for my bottles and printed them at home. I use chemical guy’s dilution bottles but hate their logo so I copied their logo and stuck them on their bottles. Totally trolling them with that 😅

      You can also talk to a local printer and have them print up some nicer vinyl stickers for you that are more waterproof. They can help with the design and sizing as well. I will be doing this soon since my original stickers faded somewhat quickly.

      @@jamiesdetailing thank you man i appreciate it I was wondering what bottles you got too so thank you for letting me know. I am starting up a detailing business on the side and you are the only guy I can find who uses all of superior products such good deals and really have the quality even more then those higher priced brands. Also what bottles do u use for soaps and conditioners?
