I bought a psvr2 and put the box before I connected them to my PS5 I charged them on the phone charger connected to a power strip. Once I synced the psvr2 controllers to the PS5 I can only charge them on the PS5. I've tried multiple cables, multiple boxes, and different outlets, even a USB slot on my power strip and all my controllers won't charge on anything but the PS5. It sucks
My problem is very Unique, when its off it charges completely fine, when on however it won't charge matter what, but if i unplug the USB cable from the ps5 and plugging it right back as the cable is plugged into the controller it charges while its on.
My controller is unreliable in its charging, and I am sure its nothing to do with the cable or the ports. The only fix I have found is to keep switching ports and flipping the cable upside down and eventually it starts charging (sometimes not for a few hours though). Any ideas what I can try next?

Hi there. I have a problem with my Ps5 dualsense controller, its always with low battery, even after charging for multiple hours. When i unplug the charger it automatically turns off. Cant even update it cause battery is always low. I tried another battery and its the same, and the battery charges fine on another remote controller. Any thoughts of what it is cause i only can play with a powerbank attached to it? thanks in advance
I've been having issues with my Razer charger. I've tested 2 separate brand new Dualsense controllers. I don't have a PS5. I use the controller just for PC only. I updated the controller firmware with Sony's official updater. Whenever I play a game for 3 hours or less and try to charge it on the stand: Both the controller and the stand will light up for 3 seconds and then both lights go out like nothing is charging. If I play a game for 4-6 hours or more: the stand WILL charge the controllers. So... you're theory about "the controller has to be at 80% or less to start charging" seems to ring true here. Anyone else experience this?
I had to change from a phone charger, that I thought worked before, to a stronger charger. Then it started to charge. I also had changed the battery just before.
Controller is working only that I need to habe it connected to a energy source at any time. Tried to change the batteries but they are not the problem. When I connect it to a charger it shows the yellow loading light for around 5 seconds, than it stops. When I connected a fully loaded batterie it drained them in a little bit more than an hour. WTF is wrong xD
My PS5 controller won't charge and whenever I plug it in the Orange lights on the front blink rapidly Also when it's plugged in and I look at it on my screen it shows full charge with the little charge icon flashing
Everytime i tried to charge it while the PlayStation was on it wouldnt charge and it would say too many usb devices connected tried swapping the battery from my old controller worked for an hour then stopped working now the only way i can charge it is through the back of the console while it's in rest mode (the controller didnt charge from a usb port in the wall either)

Everyone is right all things help resetting rebuilding registering the joystick again and also it does not charge when it has 99 procent becouse of the discharge. But I found another way by accident. If you have like half the charge or less so you know it should charge then try this couse when I plug the USB cable to the console then plug it in the controller it won't charge I panicked new ps5 broken or controller but what I noticed is when you first plug in the controller then the usb cable into the console it works fine no problem you see on then screen it wil charge. I don't know why but I have this problem with all the usb ports I always have to plug the cable first in the controller then the console and I charges I was not sure couse there was no light or something but when you press ps button you see the controller charging. This is very weird and I Dont know why but it might helpt somebody try it out
Bro you’re a goat I tried it and it worked thank you so much!👏
@@AL-mn2mi glad i could help bro. Now the big question why does this happen lol? It's like one end of the cable checks if something is connected and the other end does not. Newer had this problem with ps4 or ps3 tho but it's very weird
Thank you for the help
For some reason I can only charge my controllers when they're connected to the PS5. I used to be able to charge them on my phone charger and put of no where I couldn't charge them on the phone charger only a cable hooked up to the PS5. I have 4 dual senses and 2 edges. It sucks
My controller didnt charging up from all of 3 my usb inputs bit my hardcase want to grab it
Resetting the bluetooth worked for me.
Awesome
Great video
Thank you man it work a lot god bless youn❤❤
I plugged mine into an iPhone charger (iPhone 15) and that worked
Thank you thank you thank you so much method 4 ment the world for me tysm
My problem is very Unique, when its off it charges completely fine, when on however it won't charge matter what, but if i unplug the USB cable from the ps5 and plugging it right back as the cable is plugged into the controller it charges while its on.
Omg, I am experiencing the very similar issue. Might it be a software related problem🤔
My controller is unreliable in its charging, and I am sure its nothing to do with the cable or the ports. The only fix I have found is to keep switching ports and flipping the cable upside down and eventually it starts charging (sometimes not for a few hours though). Any ideas what I can try next?
My issue was resolved by resetting Bluetooth. Controller icon was saying it wasn't fully charged after resetting Bluetooth, the icon displayed full charge.
My controller says it’s charging but does not
Crazy how i got ps5 for 2 weeks now and it already has problems
Same
Hmmm, ps5 says too much usb devices, but there is only the controller connected. It doesn't charge with the ps5, it also does not charge elsewhere.
Same
I chang the charger and it work fore me thanks
My PS5 controller won't charge and whenever I plug it in the Orange lights on the front blink rapidly Also when it's plugged in and I look at it on my screen it shows full charge with the little charge icon flashing
Same problem exactly with me 😔
@@maroafash its the battery it shorted out get a new controller or a new battery off amazon they are easy to replace
Thank you so much. The disconnect help a lot.
I just purchased a ps5 and I put the charger to charge with the cord that was included in the box 4 hours later and it’s still under 1 bar
Method 8 worked!
Cool
Everytime i tried to charge it while the PlayStation was on it wouldnt charge and it would say too many usb devices connected tried swapping the battery from my old controller worked for an hour then stopped working now the only way i can charge it is through the back of the console while it's in rest mode (the controller didnt charge from a usb port in the wall either)
What do you think I would need to do my controller saying it’s charging but it’s not what do u think is the best thing to do ?
Try the things in the video if you haven't already.
