Thank you for this. I’ve recently been diagnosed ASD at the age of 57 after an observant supervisor asked me to consider getting assessed following a massive meltdown at work. The organisation also kindly paid for me to get it done privately. Anyway, it means I’m trying to learn all I can about autism and why I do the things I do. Keep creating the content, it’s very useful.

And also understand better about the reasons why it’s been difficult to make and keep “real” friends. I typed in ‘why it’s hard for autistic ppl to connect’ and this popped up. I really appreciate your videos my son is going to be 3 and he is severely autistic and I've never really been around anyone who is autistic other then him so I've just been trying to find videos that helps me understand him more I just want to understand him and help him in anyway that I can thank you for your videos i will hope you will continue to make them
I have trouble making friends as an autistic person because it’s hard for me to get along and connect with mainstream people, I realize that in my age in the mid 20s most people get married and I haven’t able to be with my best friend for 6 years, but I’d like to have more friends to make me feel happy.
