  • TRY THIS VOCAL EXERCISE:
Every week vocal coach Kurt Wolf brings you a new singing exercise to warm up, work out, and develop your voice.
This week - Stabilize Your Larynx For Singing - Laryngeal Tilt Exercise
Most singers struggle with a rising larynx as they sing higher. If your larynx always reaches up for high notes, a best practice is learning to counteract this action with a subtle lowering, a downward tilt, as pitches ascend.
In this video, Kurt demonstrates a vocal exercise that counteracts our ingrained, natural tendency for the larynx to rise up and which helps to establish new motor skills for minimizing laryngeal movement when singing up and down through our range.
Try it out to find more freedom, agility, and consistency in your singing!
