when I was still in high school, I represented my state.. the competition was quite fierce and I was not qualified and was not called to the national youth badminton training camp.. I despaired and continued to study In vocational college, and now I work only as a factory worker.. now I play badminton just as a hobby.. sometimes there is a feeling of regret for the decision at that time
What exactly do you regret mate?
@@omelettecrap Basically he's wishing he studied academically instead of mostly focusing on his badminton career... i think
@@shet3930 Lol, I think he means the opposite. I think he's saying that he wishes he pursued badminton instead of continuing to study at a college because that only led him to working in a factory. I guess only he can tell us what he really meant though, the mystery continues.
When i was in secondary school i played better than lee chong wei but BAM or state team not even have an eye on me if not there wouldnt have lin dan standing on the gold medalist stage in olympic !

lol its so funny
Back in the day, I had the opportunity to compete against an Olympic badminton player when I was in my prime physical condition and excelling in multiple sports. Despite being at my best, I was only able to score a total of nine points against him. This experience left me with nothing but the utmost respect for Olympians.
I was lucky to meet and be coached by an Olympian as well. He also made it to top 70 world rankings and when I requested to play a singles match with him to see how big of a difference it was, it was night and day.
nah, id win
@@yeormama You got a big mouth, try challenging a gold medalist

The player wearing black is Koki Watanabe. His bwf ranking(MS) is 48. 4th Japanese player.
Really?
different player...

Japanese audiences watch this video with understanding that he is Koki, I think
@@enryu5161 the match shown is from 2015. the player is in black is indeed koki watanabe. just check the description.
This is great inspiration for many young players
Everyone's talking about the players, but man the sound of the racket hitting the shuttlecock is satisfying as hell
He is a junior in Kenichi Tago's high school. He won three titles in high school, a bronze medal at the World Juniors, represented Japan, and recently won the Swiss Open. His story is not over yet.
What’s his name?
Koki watanabe

Which one is Watanabe
The black and green shirt student has a more aggressive play and fast reaction. His footsteps was fast too. I think the other one is a little nervous to face this kind of player, his footsteps are quite nervous.
역시 배드민턴은 다리로 치는 운동이다! 스텝이 👍👍👍👍
Wow. Thats great badminton
The one in green has very smooth and silent footwork. Very promising young chap!
わたなべこうきだぞ?
@@user-xq7ec6qq6e yup
It's weird that when the guy with the green shirt got a point the audience barely claps but when the white shirt guy got an point everyone cheers.
it should be quite obvious but it’s because the majority of the audience/students there are from the white shirts team/school.
i’d assume the green is playing on the white shirts school grounds.
埼玉の子のフットワークとフェイントが凄すぎる。特にフットワークが完璧

wanatabe was just incredible , he was win 2 in that match: the opponent and the crowd , just incredible under the pressure .
You mean Koki Watanabe right?
@@hibiblee4674 yes
Notice that at 7:45, the white boy, ShinayaYamada, starts to overpower spikes causing his stamina to go low while the black guy, KokiWatanabe is relaxed and gaining more stamina with balance coordination. We all know that Black Guy knows how to defend his area over the spikes of the opponent, as I can see that maybe Watanabe also noticed the opponent's action so he revenges it with spike side by side just to get the white boy tired almost at the end. Therefore, the white boy caused him to move slowly because of his low stamina.
THATS KOKI WATANABE?. I was wondering why he looked so familiar
@@TeamGodzilla-dw9onThe same one who just one the Swiss Open, I never realized when I first saw this video way back.😂

in fact they were japanese high school players; about 17 y/o. this video is national U-18 match 2015.
yes, but they are still 中学生(including middle and high school studengts)
@@rappy3257 no surprise here. Ratchanok Intanon won world Championship at the age of 18. They are capable to play like this.
They are national level middle schooler, this level is quite common in badminton countries like Japan, China, Denmark, Malaysia, Indonesia etc

That was really amazing to watch !!
they got good coaches, very skilled players
that's an absolutely brilliant match.Kid in blue reminds me of hidyat

Seeing their head turn is fun
Gosh I remember when I could play like that! 15 years later...not so much lol
Amazing movements and reaction speed tbh, those ain't middle schools (at least not anymore now)
초록색 머리도 좋고 스텝도 좋네 무엇보다 상대보다 훨씬 더 많은 연습량이 느껴진다
Fucking hell they're so quick to anticipate the shots. Some shots can definitely be improved but my word their footwork and agility is astonishing. But the boy in black and green has the better endurance.

Last time I saw a match like this was Lin Dan vs LCW. But crap! This is even crazier!
I was offered to play in a University with full scholarship with any course of my choice but my parents didn't allow me. It was a good University with high reputation in Badminton as well. They want me to focus on studying and stop playing. Now I still don't have a job and still struggle to pass the Board exam. I still dream about how my life would turn out If I continued playing badminton.

Obviously the underdog is the kid on the white shirt, the black shirt kid was way more economical and creative in his decisions.
Both have super clean techniques, it's already way better than most national teams on other countries.
the guy in white t shirt is not techinically sound. he does not know where to send the birdie so that opponents plays back to the side where he wants..the opponent is very good and he controlling the rallies. that is also because the white t shirt guy does not have full court coverage skills.
ya..they are school students...but the match probably not school level, its maybe national level competition....that makes different between two players to playing in the school and two players playing in national level competition. ..........
I think in japan, national level youth tournament are also conducted between school, unlike china or malaysia where it is between different state/province
