Like a few people have mentioned this film is set in this new timeline created at the end of Terminator 2 where Judgment Day (August 29, 1997) was delayed to around July 24, 2004 giving birth to a slightly differant Future to the one Kyle Reese originally came from. They'd be more 2000s era vehicles, technology, and pop culture. Characters would've met in differant ways such as Kyle Reese and John Connor meeting differently in this film than to what the original Kyle Reese described. Visually it's a much more low tech Future War compared to the one we saw in the films, minus the Terminators of course. No purple lasers and the vehicles look like early prototype but originally this was meant to be a trilogy where over the course of the movies we would've got closer to the Future War depicted in the originally films, At least visually as both timelines are slighly differant with Humanity still fighting Skynet beyond 2029 while in the Future War depicted in the first two movies, 2029 was the year Skynet was defeated and sent back the Terminators.
So happy to see you reacting to Terminator Salvation I like this Terminator movie too just like I like Terminator 3 both these sequels are criminally underrated in my book.
As an aspiring filmmaker(with screenwriting as area of focus), one of the most important lessons I’ve learned from the art of storytelling is that there’s more than one side to every story and that every character can be seen from multiple different perspectives, depending on whose point-of-view the events are being seen from. With that being said, whether a character is a “good guy” or “bad guy” is decided by whose side of the story is presented in a sympathetic light and whose side is shown in a negative light. As the proverb goes, “everyone is the hero in their own story” and “everyone is a villain in someone else’s story.” For example, if you have an enemy and you classify your side as the “good” one in the conflict and theirs as the “bad” one, you should consider the possibility that from their perspective, they are “good” and you are “bad.” The classification of an individual’s moral alignment is all a matter of perspective. The portrayal of Marcus Wright is no different. Understandably, you’re perceiving him as a “bad guy” because he’s a convicted murderer, but we don’t know the full backstory, which certainly had two sides to. Also, the the movie depicts him as a hero. The art of screenwriting & filmmaking taught me that such portrayal is a key to considering him as a “good guy.” An argument can be made that John, who is generally identified as the hero, became somewhat of a “bad guy” when he antagonized Marcus(though temporary). It felt that way because the scene was being shown from the point-of-view of Marcus. Hero & villain are matters of point-of-view.
I am so glad you're continuing to watch the rest of the Terminator franchise. I have the same enthusiasm for it as you, and I am so looking forward to watching your reactions and hearing what you think of them. Keep up the great work, Carol! 👍😊❤

From what i remember in the comics, the first attempt at the Terminator infiltrators were modified humans. They typically went nuts or died. Marcus is a nod to those 80s/90s comics and one thing i liked about this movie. EDIT - they put other nods to the comics in every movie after 2.
She looks & sounds like the mysic Witch from the CONAN THE BARBARIAN film, (another Arnie film) also a journey is taking place across desolate Desert terrain here as well.
This one was a solid action movie. There are some continuity issues with the other movies, but at least they went back to the no fate theme of the 1st two movies... You've come this far... Might as well finish the series...
The first 3 Terminator films built up this picture of who John Connor is. This big hope for the future to change the tide of the war and defeat the machines. John wasn't born yet in the first film. He was only a kid in the second. He was a loner and on drugs in the third film. Unsure of himself. Far from this picture, we envision John Connor to be. Finally! Christain Bale hits it on the nose. The heroic John Connor we all envision him to be. I like that they play the same music they played for John Connor in T2 when he revved his engine to his motorcycle at his foster parents' home in the driveway. Then he played it again in Salvation when he got the Terminators attention and comendered a mobile Terminator motorcycle. Both John and the Arnold model 101 Terminators like to ride motorcycles. -OG
The reason this version of John Connor has a different tone and gives a different vibe is because this is the REAL John Connor(or at least the closest one so far). This is the version whom the younger John Connors were being developed into. Remember, from the very beginning of the Terminator franchise, the future John Connor has always been described as a MILITARY COMMANDER, which means he’s supposed to have the ambiance of a general and be authoritative.
Terminator: Salvation is my favorite Terminator sequel after T2. Why? Because ALL the Terminator sequels involve rehashing a similar plot by going back in time to change the future. Salvation is the ONLY one that thinks for itself and strays away from that theme of time travel and takes place in the beginning of the apocalyptic future. Could it have been better? Certainly. None of the sequels are perfect. Only the first 2 Terminator films are perfect. -OG

0:25 "...and I need to know how it ends" Sorry to disappoint you, but this franchise has no ending. "Salvation" doesn't have a definite ending and each of the subsequent movies were unsuccessful attempts to reboot the franchise with the intention of making sequels that were canceled, so that their plots are not related to each other and are also left without clear endings. This franchise is a total mess and people advised you to stop after T2 for a reason.
I disagree with everything you wrote. You and all the other naysayers have forgotten John's message to Sarah. "The future is not set. There is no fate, but what we make."
@@willmartin7293 What can you "disagree" with if what I said is not an opinion but facts? - The plot of "Salvation" and the future war were planned to continue in the next movie, but it was canceled for the sake of "Terminator Genisys" which is a reboot of the entire franchise from scratch. - "Genesys" also has an open ending because they were planning sequels but it was canceled due to a box office failure. - Then they made "Terminator: Dark Fate", with a plot that ignores all movies after T2 and which they also planned to continue in future movies, but also canceled due to box office failure. - Oh, and even before "Salvation" they made the TV show "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" which, like "Dark Fate", ignores everything after T2 but with a different plot. And it was also cancelled after the second season. As I said, unfortunately, the Terminator franchise after T2 is a total mess with no reasonable and consistent story and is just a failed product of corporate greed.

In this respect, 'Salvation' is both a sequel and a prequel of sorts.

@@BizzyX78 I know there was room just I wasn't able to write so much
13:22 maybe if you just watch without asking questions I'm guessing you'll find out what he's doing with the tanker truck but what do I know and now he's not going to start explosion because he doesn't want to tanker to have fuel in it so he's dumping it just for the hell of it
Buddy, what movies do you think Carol should in the future? Do you have any recommendations? :)
@@wookiethx Any movie where she doesn't have to ask 20 questions and and constantly asking why this why that why why why why why why just a movie where she can just keep her mouth shut and watch it and be patient to see what happens. I watch three or four people that react to movies that don't talk as much as she does and pays attention to the movie and I don't leave comments on their page at all because they sit there and watch and their patient to see what happens
@@wookiethx a quiet place maybe you should learn how to be quiet if she watches that movie
Maybe you should make some tutorial videos on how you would like people to react to videos? You have a lot to say, dude.
I like the way Carol makes her reaction videos and I like her personality. Maybe try being a little more accepting of others.
Anyway, keep up the good work, I can't wait to see what helpful comments you will provide on the next video.
You don't have any movie suggestions, then? :)@@buddy3167
hey beautiful I love this movie and think you're fantastic.😘💖🌷
8:57 were your eyes and ears open in the beginning of the movie he was in jail he was put to death he wouldn't know about the the war or what they did to him
26:43 if I were you want to go back and watch the first two terminators and actually pay attention and listen they want to kill John Connor because he's the leader and they need a Terminator that can act 100% human and not know it once again use that thing called a brain and use those things called ears it really really helps
5:32 I see we're playing 20 questions again because you just can't keep quiet and waiting to find out what's going to happen in the movie
I see you are up to your old tricks, again, buddy! :D
@@wookiethx once again her impatience of just not being able to keep quiet and watch the movie to see what happens know she's got to ask why why why why why why this why that I'm sure you're saying then don't watch it I'm sorry the lack of common sense in brain power now she used her brain power like some of the other people I do watch who I don't leave me messages for because they actually sit there and pay attention and listen now I will give her credit she's watching the sequels back to back
Don't you like that Carol is enjoying this movie series. You have that in common. :)
Did you like the movie, the first time you watched it?
What would you like Carol to watch, in the future?
What is your favourite movie? :)@@buddy3167
@@wookiethx all his comments are (I believe) better for her algorithm.., let him cook.
@@wookiethxI love T3. Claire Danes + Nick Stahl. T4 & The Sarah Conner Chronicles, I also love. My favorite might be the original, The Terminator.
18:25 no it didn't work the robot was drunk and decide to crash the ship
Dude why the hell do you have criticize everything she talks about. Why do you even care? About half the comment on this video are from you. You've got some issues.
14:02 wow really an explosion didn't kill a Terminator damn only if they made two other movies where they did that we would know explosions don't work on them
0:25 "...and I need to know how it ends"
Sorry to disappoint you, but this franchise has no ending.
@@SokolRockdid you watch her reaction?
@@frankmiller4550 Yes, I did. What's your point?
Before you answer, I will remind you that my comment is a response to her words that she wants to see how it all ends, which as we know will not happen - the last three Terminator movies do not have proper endings.
@@SokolRock you made it seem like it wasn't worth watching. I was wondering why you watched it.
Don't know why this movie was hated that much. It as scenario flaws but I loved it.
The actors were really great.
The screenplay was really good too.
I was a lil sad when they gave up that timeline.
1-2 are masterpieces. But 3 was fun and 4 was trying hard. I'll not talk about the other 2 very sh*tty ones....
Many Brazilian looks like Indian. firstly I thought you are an NRI Indian.
2:02 I mean you see him sitting in jail wearing a prison uniform and you think he's a good guy
-----
@buddy3167
-----
- Well, to be fair...
More than a few convicted have turned out not guilty after the fact.
Which historically is more than a bit ironic...
-----
@@BizzyX78well you seem to have the same problem with her is not listening he said he killed three people I don't care if he turns out to be a nice guy now that he's a robot the fact that he killed innocent people
-----
@buddy3167
-----
- That is not what he said...
Three people dead doesn't automatically mean that he killed them all.
He was clearly feeling guilt for the death of his brother.
Him donating his body to science was a way for him to seek some kind of penance.

24:06 that was the wrong move like you any smarter
4 Фильм Терминатора был хуже 1-2 фильма ну лучше 3 Фильма где то так как 3 Фильм ну хуже а вот 5-6 Фильмы просто до а не сюжет был.
19:20 wow you actually figured that so what's there not to understand
14:13 you really don't use your head when it comes to thinking do you I mean if you are a robot and you want to take over the world why would you make just one kind of robot you would need different kinds of robots
🩵💙
Once again just watch the movie and I guarantee you'll find out if what he's doing is a good thing is it really that difficult for you to be patient and watch
Again TERMINATOR SALVATION felt too removed from the first two films, with too many new faces & characters what matters most is to maintain a...feel, an atmosphere in sequels but that was missing here, the characters had little charisma
18:18 once again maybe if you just watch the movie you'll know if it works or not why do you have to ask
30:19 gseriously you really can't keep your mouth shut and be patient when you watch a movie can you
28:44 oh are you going to cry but you know maybe if you just shut up and just watch the movie you'll find out what they did and I beg you please stop trying to predict stuff in the movies cuz you're never right
Can you possibly just wait and see who lives and who dies and stop saying oh they're dead they're differently dead because you're never right
I seriously believe your head would explode if you ever use your brain properly
Your prediction of who lives and who dies in movies really sucks so how about you just wait and see who lives and who dies and stop trying to predict it
В этом фильме, движения металлического скелета Т800, показаны лучше всего!
