They apparently had another ending in mind ,john died & they transplant his face on markus to continue the fight in his name ,gowing for a "the hybrid who was part human part machine defeated skynet in the end" I supose, also allegedly another version of that was ,markus goes on a rampage after receiving the new face & kills them all 😅
Ending of third movie was not only obvious but also necessary. Sara knew about skynet from guy that used skynet technology to get to her. Rhys could fight against terminator thanks to the technology build by skynet. Connor was born thanks to technology created by skynet. Even if we asume that Time machine will be created by someone else then... what for someone should go back and try to prevent existence of something that not exist? And if nobody go back in time... then skynet will exist.
Hey hey I've been checking back here for the last few days in anticipation for your T4 review. Well done guys as you are the best Terminator reactors on RUclips. If you guys haven't already reacted to the Underworld franchise then I'd gladly tune in.
Apparently, the true ending to this was that John dies and Marcus takes over (as figurehead?), wearing John's skin! I can't remember if it tested badly or if it came from the top, but it got changed into what we see in the theatrical cut. Either way, i loved this film, and the sound design in particular was just incredible!
10:29 that's a 600. The first deployment of the 800 is kind of the B plot in this movie. Well, one of the B plots. 45:08 THAT's a T-800. Supposedly, in this movie, it's the very first time it went online. And it started killing right out of the crib. ^^
Arnold Schwarzenegger hated this movie, because they never asked if he would come back to the role, as he retired from acting to become governor of California from 2003-2010. He said in an interview, while promoting TERMINATOR: GENISYS, that "It sucked, it missed the boat by a mile, it had interesting characters and a great premise, but the ending was just awful."
Is that the source of the Salvation controversy? I also remember Bale blew up at a lighting guy but I didn't think it was a big enough thing to cause the hate this film received.
Arnold wanst in part 4. Thats CGI. part 4 sucked azz. It LITERALLY killed the series. 1st movie in series to bomb financially. Lost the studio 100 million. People never trusted the franchise ever again. 5 and 6 were great. Except the feminist bs in 6. Supposed to get 2 more but becuz part 6 lost the studio 220 million....its NEVER gonna happen
I really liked the Terminator and their variants. The T-600(?) that Marcus encounters when he gets to Los Angeles is CREEPY/SCARY/FORMIDABLE AF. It looks more monstrous than mechanical. The HK variants and their modular terminator killer motorcycles are such a cool concept. I agree with you all, it was a solid entry. The unexpected inserts of Blake in this reaction and your T2 reaction.😂💀
I just had a thought. If a T-800 is powered by a hydrogen fuel cell, then why didn't the first terminator blow up when Sarah crushed it in The Terminator?
Yes!!! Been waiting for you to watch Salvation. I love Sam Worthington in this. If you haven't seen his MAN ON A LEDGE (2012) Crime/Thriller, it's totally worth a watch. He's great in the lead. 🤩
If I remember correctly, the original ending was supposed to have Marcus's character get a facial transplant to be John Connor since Bale's character was supposed to die, but this allowed John to 'live' on and continue the fight against the machines, with only the close circle of people knowing the truth. I thought it would have been an amazing twist on the franchise, but I still love the movie regardless. Wish they made sequels to this movie instead of the other attempted ones they tried after this.
everytime they go back in time they change the future, t1 was the 1st time they went back, even tho we havent been told we know the og timeline kyle never went back and john was born normally and became the leader and was winning, then kyle went back and the og john no longer existed instead the child of sarah and kyle was born and they gave him the same name and now kyle will forever be his pops and we may never kow the og father. this is a great universe to explore, love time travel
This movie is freakin Sick, i don't Care what some people say. Yeah, Markus carried This for sure, Not Only him But The acting of The cast in This was Great
It's a pity that they didn't follow up with two more Terminator movies following this one. With the sixth and final one being set in final days of the war and ending with Kyle Reese being sent to the past to stop the Arnie Terminator kill Sarah Connor, and in the post credit, the resistance sent the reprogrammed T800 back to 1995 to protect John Connor. Ending the franchise in bootstrap paradox which makes T1 a sequel to T6.
I think that Salvation may be the best sequel of this franchise after T2... I like T3, it's funny and entertaining, but this one takes place in that apocalyptic future that they only have shown in bits and pieces. It tries to be different at least.
T3 could have been a good sequel, but I felt they just didnt take it serious enough. Had too much goofiness at times and really didnt care for the T-X villian
Despite not being as good as its predecessors, Salvation was a decent sequel. The film moved forward with the story and has good action scenes. I just thought they gave too much importance to Marcus, instead of focusing more on John Connor. And I also thought there was a lack of further development regarding Resistance. Furthermore, I liked the references, especially when Connor says "I'll be back" and then we have the scene where "You Could Be Mine" plays, which is the main soundtrack for Terminator 2. And of course, the scene where "Schwarzenegger" appears is the icing on the cake. Very nostalgic. Between mistakes and successes, Salvation showed potential for more films set in the future. It's a shame it wasn't as well received.
Arnie wasn't in this one, cuz at that time he was governor and as a politician not allowed to be in movies. Nor would he have had the time, I assume. They cgi'd his face on to a bodybuilder's body, who stood in for Arnie's T-800.
Imagine if Skynet met the central AI from the Matrix. What would they talk about? Skynet: Hey, I kill humans every day. They're so lame. Matrix AI I know, right? But I make them into batteries for me. Skynet: Wait, what? Why? Matrix AI: Hmm...
So, in the Terminator Lore (from co-ordinating the average data from comics, books. movies, and tv) the models of evolution are; T-1 basic human-sized tank-tread drones. T-100 basic human shape infantry unit. T-300, T-400, T-500 are various forms of Heavy Chassis Unit, T-600 First of the Endo Skeletons, but they are built as massive guard with Gatling gun. They were easy to spot as infiltrators, as they wore rubber skin and were obvious, due to their size. T-700 Were tall human sized, had a darker metal due to their cobalt-titanium crossed chassis. The first true infiltrator. Good at short term mission, but the red glare of their eyes, and lack of fully realised flesh, led to rotting of the skin after barely-a-month. T-800 The Governor we know and love. Is a Triple-Armoured Hyper-Alloy Combat Chassis. (hence the size) Has full HUD Analytical Display, a fully functioning Flesh which stays can, apart from heavy lacerations/deep massive wounds, can stay fresh for decades, sweats and bad-breath. Arnie label as an T-101 is both erroneous and true. The 101 is in reference to the appearance of the skin it wears: T-800 Make of Endo-Skeleton - Series Model of skin [1-(first) - 01] (Arnold Schwarzenegger) All other Makes of T-888s, T-8xxs, T-900s were all slightly slimmer in design, but also retains their Heavy Chassis. Obvious to Terminator Units being reprogramed, Skynet creates more advanced models who are able to terminate other machines. The various models of larger Tanks, Mechs, and Aircraft are know collectively as HKs - Hunter Killers. Due to Alternative Universes created by the Time Travel nature of the franchises plot, there are always mods or conflicting intel.
this movie is fire, for me better the terminator 3. of course its not as as epic as the two first ones, but still good imo, i get it why some people hate it, its probably cus they compare it with the two fisrt ones.
T1 was campy and heartbreaking T2 was best sequel and fun! Sarah Conner's change was a 180 and amazing. John was cool. T3 plot was good, it kept the story moving into the future. T4 Loved Bale as John but the script was lacking. Reese's appearance was special but I wanted a more emotional connection with John. Everything after this is garbage for me. 😂😂
I don't know why so many people hate on this movie.. imo this is the best after terminator2. I also like that Connor is the side charector instead of the main.
So if you think Gensis is the last movie, does that mean you're not going to do Dark Fate? Also one of you mentioned you don't know how lethal injection works. Injection 1 puts you to sleep, injection too paralyzes you, injection 3 goes directly into the heart to induce a heart attack.
Just a minor request. I think you guys should turn the movie volume up a little during the dialogue. Sermed harder to hear than other vids, or it's an issue on my end. Glad you enjoyed the movie! It's not the best in the franchise but my personal fav after 1&2.
The original cut had them put John's brain in Marcus' body so Sam Worthington would've played Connor as a human Terminator in the next movies. Test audiences hated it so they redid the end and added scene's emphasizing the heart. They also redid the first T-600 Marcus encounters, originally it's face had the plastic skin Reese mentioned in the first movie. Look up T-600 and you'll see shots of it. I think it looked much more bad-ass.
I guess that’s not true I just googled it. They were going to graft John’s face onto Marcus and Marcus would impersonate John. I also read his programming would activate and he’d kill Katherine and Kyle. That’s dark! I don’t know where the series would have gone from there..
There was a comic book sequel to the movie, which did end with *spoiler alert* John becoming a Terminator and Marcus returned, as his biological part was able to regrow his heart. He buried, but was kind of in a sort of suspended animation.
It’s not that they are weaker it’s that for one these are people who know how to fight them already and have better armor piercing rounds than they did in the 80s. These guys know exactly where to terminators are weakest armor wise and also actually have the rounds that can penetrate their armor as well.
Heehee them future warfare penguins 🐧 gotta watch out for . Love y’all’s reactions as always. Gentlemen of raggedy pack looking very handsome as well ❤😉 🤖

I do love how they have the melting Terminator hand causing the scar John has in T2's intro and the idea that the mass produced terrible terminators wear clothes to look humanish from a distance to trick the resistance into getting close or revealing their position
They apparently had another ending in mind ,john died & they transplant his face on markus to continue the fight in his name ,gowing for a "the hybrid who was part human part machine defeated skynet in the end" I supose, also allegedly another version of that was ,markus goes on a rampage after receiving the new face & kills them all 😅
This is the only sequel after T2 that tried to do something different.
That’s why it doesn’t work and isn’t a terminator film total garbage
@@rachaelhogan7850 totally worked. Terminator isnt just about time traveling back to the past. There's still a war against the machines in the future.
The PS2 game "Terminator Dawn Of Fate" was set in the future war and had a nice twist after Skynet was defeated and Kyle Reese was sent back.
Arnie was governor of California when this was made, and he couldn't be in it. That's why his name wasn't in the credits.
In my opinion, Terminator Salvation is the best.🤩
It’s been 14 years since Terminator 3
Apparently, the true ending to this was that John dies and Marcus takes over (as figurehead?), wearing John's skin! I can't remember if it tested badly or if it came from the top, but it got changed into what we see in the theatrical cut.
Either way, i loved this film, and the sound design in particular was just incredible!
Sound design was top notch. The original ending was leaked by some dickhead thus McG (the director) had to rewrite it.
Yes, Marcus getting John’s skin and then killing everyone. Wild! I think I would have preferred that ending.
Arnold didn't appear in this film because he was the Governor of California at the time
damn politics always ruining all the nice things we could've had
27:17
-Oh he's got a heart? Interesting, what the sound of his heart🤔
-Da-da-da-da dum, da-da-da-da dum
😁
10:29
that's a 600. The first deployment of the 800 is kind of the B plot in this movie. Well, one of the B plots.
45:08
THAT's a T-800.
Pretty ironic considering Genisys was much worse
So he would have quit being the governor to make the movie? Not likely.
Is that the source of the Salvation controversy?
I also remember Bale blew up at a lighting guy but I didn't think it was a big enough thing to cause the hate this film received.
@@vizuz but it still had Arnold
Arnold wanst in part 4. Thats CGI. part 4 sucked azz. It LITERALLY killed the series. 1st movie in series to bomb financially. Lost the studio 100 million. People never trusted the franchise ever again. 5 and 6 were great. Except the feminist bs in 6. Supposed to get 2 more but becuz part 6 lost the studio 220 million....its NEVER gonna happen
McG was involved with tv show Charmed. Also that incident with Christian yelling at the lighting assistant went viral.
Because that concept didn’t yet exist in the first movie ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The guy at 12:51 is Czech actor Ivan Šplíchal ( Ivan G'Vera ) I'm so proud, I'm Czech
Marcus is basically like Neo the one, then he goes to the source meeting the architect, then he choose humanity over machines
The look of concern on Igli's face ❤. And you guy's reaction to the giant one...What?! 😂 so silly.
Anton Yelchin (Kyle Reese) died in 2016 he was a very talented actor at this time.
48:20 Cojo--bro looks like he smelled his own fart and is thinking, "Did something crawl up my butt and died"?
I love this 42:21 scene.🤩
Yes!!! Been waiting for you to watch Salvation. I love Sam Worthington in this. If you haven't seen his MAN ON A LEDGE (2012) Crime/Thriller, it's totally worth a watch. He's great in the lead. 🤩
The molten steel scene is where John gets the scar we see at the beginning of T2
One of the better Transformer movies
People who defend part 3 always say, "The car chase is good.........".
44:27 THE CLAAAAAAAAAAAAW!!!
You guys would probably love Helldivers 2 Automaton missions, it’s very Terminator and y’all can play on a team.
Much needed to today. Thank you for the content!
This movie is freakin Sick, i don't Care what some people say. Yeah, Markus carried This for sure, Not Only him But The acting of The cast in This was Great
This is when John takes control of Tech-Com.
there was a big story about Christian Bale going off on producers berating them, the audio is on youtube.
As I understand it Lethal injection is always three syringes. Sedation, paralysis and one to stop the heart 😔🇬🇧
10:17 May have been a Neutron Bomb rather than a Nuke, Fission-Based rather than Fusion-Based.
The idea of a neutron bomb is that it fries your brain. He'd be dead.
Thanks for the company ❤
Had too much goofiness at times and really didnt care for the T-X villian
lethal injection is actually a high sodium compound, imagine salt water being pumped innto your arm
Also Arnold couldn't be in this movie with a speaking part because he was GOVERNATOR at the time and wasn't allowed to act while in office.
Knee pad assassin's 😂
Awesome reaction of my favorite Terminator movie!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Great timing drop across the pond lads I'm 45 minutes late 💯 Salvation is a Good film
Arnold was governor of California when this movie came out. During his political career he stepped away from Hollywood.
We thought that was Arnie in his 1984 guise but clever CGI.
Arnie wasn't in this one, cuz at that time he was governor and as a politician not allowed to be in movies. Nor would he have had the time, I assume. They cgi'd his face on to a bodybuilder's body, who stood in for Arnie's T-800.
Terminators are the prequels to the Matrix
One of my favorites
I've seen every Terminator in theaters from T2-T5. Whatever you do, for the love of God, don't watch Genisys.
lmfao Angry Blake making an appearance.
they missed the "easy money" line when he hacked that bike-anator : P
And from T2, T3, Salvation & even Genesys...John always seem to be on a bike.
But that line wouldn't make sense here because John wouldn't get any money from here
T1 was campy and heartbreaking
T2 was best sequel and fun!
The last one, Dark Fate. Arnold and Linda came back but I hate it so much. 🤣
And who keeps making these time machines?!!
I’ve heard that in the original ending John was supposed to die and Marcus would take his place as”John” to fulfill his destiny.
They chickened out or something. Didn’t want to derail the “legend ” before he actually began.
I like this one, sick movie and it actually looked good
I don't know why so many people hate on this movie.. imo this is the best after terminator2. I also like that Connor is the side charector instead of the main.
He threw the phone at the crew during this.
T-600 attacked John near the beginning.
Dudes.... Arnold was too busy being Governor of California, hence he couldn't be cast in this one.... But in true Arnie style..... " I'll be Back ! "
Awesome , Greetings from Finland
Awwww sh1t... I'd forgotten 😢 R.I.P Anton Yelchin
That's not oficial. Is only a kind of creepypaste''...
This movie is stacked with a cast. Wow
