I love the wavy/wobbly sheet metal, looks like it was cast by orks rather than scavenged, literally just pouring molten steel on the ground and hiting it with big hammers
Large FW kits tend to need a lot of work to assemble due to being resin. Large panels tend not to line up and need work to manipulate them into the correct shape. They can be warped and twisted in some instances. Lots or reports too of missing parts etc. For a premium product, you don’t get premium quality.
@@tweedle634 buy recasted forgeworld, it's usually half the price and with the right recaster you get a ton more quality than fw kits. Fw has trash quality for some reason
All those nibbly nobbly bits turning into such a strong, impressive end result is just amazing. A big, chunky, orky, buddha-like copper god of dakka and krumpin. Good thing you stuck to the shorter belly cannon (otherwise it would've looked incredibly phallic). I especially enjoyed those chill live streams to paint along.

Like I already said in one of the livestreams, this is absolutely brilliant! I was a little bit sceptical when you said you would make hin only brass-colored, but it looks really good! Keep up the fantastic work!
Excellent work! I would have loved to see some LEDs added to the smoke stacks to make some smoke coming off the back. But really awesome work. And all from sprues no less!

*super intense thematic music* ORKS: WAAAAAAAAAGGHHH!!!! *immediate transition to jazzy elevator music* Miniature Hobbyist, cheerily: Hi guys! Today, we're... Perfect for this channel
I just started collecting minis and even in just one month i have a pretty large stash of spues. Glad I saved them all. Now I just need proper work space to build something cool like this as I currently use my PC desk, and have a shelf/paint station I can move into place when its time to build/paint models as to not get paint or glue crap on my nice desk. Cutting and doing general crafts however isnt too easy as the space is pretty limited. Going to have to come up with something! I'd be happy to make just a small version of something like this~
I really like this as an ork thing because its rough all around, if you look at bought model stuff while the body looks rough there are certain areas that are just to perfect weapons are supper perfect instead of look rough like the rest making them stand apart.
This is EPIC I have just put my cardboard start of a Stompa on the back burner, and have made a jar of Sprue Goo, and will be starting a new one soon as/ Amazing Build.
Just watched the sprues panels vid too, you should try some texture rollers on the softened panels. You would be able to made some awesome walls/walkways etc.
Well I just got into painting minis. I have the Necron half of the Indomidus box and I bought a extra pack of Necron Warriors to practice on 1st. I'm only 1/2 way thru my practice set of warriors. But after watching a few of your videos, I've started making Necron Flayed Ones instead of warriors out of melted sprue goo and extra sprue clippings.
This looks like it would fit in as a Steam Gargant. Or one that was looted from wildboy orks and upgraded to a proper Gargant. The level of handmade uniqueness is PERFECT for a bit of story.
Must be the streams that have made these videos not get recommend as much. This stompa is the best made out of sprues vid so far just because of the clever panel idea it looks really good. Not sure why they're not being viewed as much a real shame
@@MiniatureHobbyist yeah unfortunately my nail polish remover i tried to use for the acetone ingredient... just didnt work.. it was too weak to melt the sprues :/ now i gotta redo it with stronger stuff :D
Beautiful, just as expected while watching the stream. :) Hmm do I see a tube of "acrylic effect paste/color" in the back? I guess that's what the copper coloring is..
