You are to be commended for doing videos like this! Im sure the folks that are new to the hobby really appreciate yhis! As i do also. NITRO GANG LIVES FOREVER!!
thank you my dude! You know just bringing some of the nitro related questions and concerns to the spotlight, hope this helps out a few viewers down the road and nitro does not piss them off.
I had a hard time adjusting the carb right when I first got the hellfire but once I hit the sweet spot it fires up every time now. Great truck. Your ss is in great condition bro take care of her. I’ll send some pics of my hellfire over to Ben and he can show you what it looks like 🤙
I remember when the hellfire came out on the market YEARS BACK !!! i always wanted one . Back then it seemed like such a cool nitro . Back in the middle to late 2000’s i believe right ? great video big D ! 👍
Ohhhhh awwouch that’s one ballsy start in 13f bro, sicckening!! U are one hek of a dedicated pro!! And first time I see the SS fire!!! Haha yes ask Tesla in cold weather
thanks man! A couple things left on this Hellfire to correct and it will be a 100% runner. Currently the throttle servo needs to be replaced, it's just too weak to apply the breaks as is right now.
@@hybrid32494 I picked up an SS and will be working to bring it back to life! It needs a re pinch on the K4.6. They are very cool trucks and will never be forgotten!
hey bro! thanks! Hope you agreed with the cold start tuning tips, lately I've heard people discussing it and wanted to make sure people were on the right track. NitroganG!.
Hey dude, what’s up. You know just trying to help the mass NitroGang audience out there run their nittos in the winter too. We don’t want them to think that you could only run the electrics, lol
hey my dude! You and I both! lol. But I will confirm that it's much easier to fire up with a warmed up engine as shown here. Ofcourse the basic RTR engines don't necessarily need the pre-heating but the more high end high compression engines definitely will.
@hybrid32494 I have a quick question. I have a traxxas slayer with a blown motor are there any great replacement options for under 200 or should i just buy another 3.3 ??? I have heard the mach 2 is a direct bolt on and a decent option ? Thank you for your time.
hey buddy! I would defiantly recommend you pick up the Dynamite 19 because it's a 100% direct install of the slayer. Unless you do that Traxxas trade in program and send your blown 3.3 to them and pay about 120 total, there is really no choice. Here is a direct link for you, they are in stock here now - alnk.to/flvx5Bd
What’s up my dude, special thanks for checking out this video and appreciating the super nice and rare HPI hellfire. I’m sure you’ll find one one day as for me. I was lucky to have a close friend of mine. Offer me this for sale at one time.
@@hybrid32494 I know bro I’ve been watching you for a good bit now you don’t live too far for me you should definitely come down there’s a group of us that all race 7 tracks all roar approved and only 2 or 3 hours
hey buddy! These engine heaters are generally adjustable to fit the cooling heat and fit snuggly over the top. I would not worry about engine size, they are universal really. Here is a link to a good one for you, in addition to the one in the video description - bit.ly/3uA8E0B
@@hybrid32494 yeh I have the Dynamite version that looks almost identical. It’s too big for the TRX Pro .15 even with it all the way tight. Guess I could modify it with more Velcro, but seems odd I can’t find anything out there that fits better.
hey bro! I've never experienced JELLING of the fuel in my life. The main ingredient in the RC fuel is Methanol (an alcohol). If you try to freeze alcohol (for example VODKA) you will notice it does not freeze. For this same reason working about nitro fuel JELLING is not a concern. Good question bro.
Brother why are you hurting your nitros with this cold? that poor vintage 4.6cc hpi. Dear comment readers. always buy a preheater for your nitros if your going to run them in the cold and wrap the heads with a towell to keep it warm. thumbs down my guy.
Bro if you were a real member of the nitro gang back in 99 on Long island you just started your rs4 up in the nice warm house and let your mom scream at you. And you’d just say whatever ma it was only a min I’m outside now. Lol but there times I didn’t go right outside

Good tips
My problems when running in the cold is if it's really windy the engine has a hard time building up enough heat .
I've never had any issues with a Traxxas nitro in cold weather if you learn your adjments and are familiar with theses there like a Ole friend.
Thanks for the video D as always!
2nd to watch ...just ran my revo 3.3 ,nitrogang baby all the way from south africa🎉
Sickening footage and info👍

I usually don't preheat in the winter unless I'm breaking in a engine.
Just ordered a nitro slash will be my first nitro any tips for cold weather break in
some good cold start action
thanks bro!! the traxxas electric start system had no issue firing it up even in super cold temps.
traxxas slayer always starts its like the honey badger of nitro slayer dont give a@@hybrid32494

@hybrid32494 absolutely my man
That hurt my soul watching that cold start 😅
