Nice and interesting video. Keep the "Engine Heater" ON when you start and even after the start of the engine (when you don't run with the car of course...). The temperature will be conserved and the first starts/settings of the engine will be more easy... 😉👍‼️💯🔥🏁🏎️🤓🇨🇵
The same happens to me with a new 2012 savage x that i bought. The car was never been used and plus it was my first nitro. But with video helps from you and one buddy I have I made it running well. Have you ever checked out the other ofna cars on the jammin side called Hong nor! The Hong nor x3 Sabre they make it in rtr and race kit and the rtr is very similar it doesn’t have all the Cnc stuff or cvds but the geometry and parts all interchangeable which means you can upgrade the rtr to be a kit which I have the older 2.0 kit very nice buggy!

I know why the body doesn't fit properly around the fuel tank. I bought the Hyper VS2 but as the 80% kit and it comes with the 125cc fuel tank. The RTR models come with a 150cc fuel tank. When I had the 125cc tank the body fit fine. But after I switched to the 150cc tank I noticed the same body sitting on the fuel tank problem.
How different is this to the black edition of the Hobao Hyper 7? I've just picked up the hyper 7. I have some upgrade shocks ready and will probably go for a pair of brushless servos. But otherwise, is this thing worth the extra money?
Them hyper nitros are pretty bad ass. I had a hyper st back in the day. Their priced pretty fairly to. Just ordered my revo can't wait ordered it from rc super store 509 can't beat that

HOBAO we used to call them fat cows in the track. They couldn't jump or stay on track. Where losi 8ight 1.0 would smash them every corner. None the less it's a fun entry lever buggy but badly designed for racing imo. The brushless one for speed runs did amazing back in the day though. It was insanely fast.
Actually They can do both. And they can jump and 20 years later the same cars are still jumping and have not broken and you can still get parts for them. Other parts, that wear out. Nothing breaks.
@@LawrenceTimme exactly it's very old tech and was never competitive really...... the short course was amazing due to it's metal chassis and price it used to be 250$ and came out when slash 4x4 came out but people went with slashes due to the car being tip heavy and just overall bad. Now a hobao at 800$ it's laughable.... nitro house used to have them almost for free :p

Hey dude, ideally with a very rich break in tune you want to be able to have easy access and use ability of the radio to give the motor some throttle blips in case it starts to bog down. Plus using throttle trim will insure you have the same start up on the next heat cycle as well.

@@tarekalessa3667 so far the issue with all the HYPER 30 motors is they are tough to tune. I've recently run the hyper VT model with the same engine, and these motors run either super RICH or Lean. Tough to tune. Many people agree. The Serpent is reliable and comes with. proper Novarossi motor, pus it's much cheaper.

Why is nitro getting so expensive and why do these manufacturers build their vehicles with cheaper and cheaper parts, yet charge you the same or more? I'll take the money and get me a couple or three of some EAT14's!! Yeah, it wouldn't be Nitro, but I won't have to rob a bank either.

hey dude!! I legit don't remember at this point if it did. But as far as I know all 2.4 ghz radios have fail-safe features other than all Traxxas radios. To be honest Fleshy is the way to go, the annoying button setup for the trims mean you never know where on the high-low range of the trim setting you are.
Over 600 bucks? Kids get a mugen, kyosho, team associated etc maybe a used competition car, but bild it by your own! You allways have to check the screws and all linked Things to be sure its in the right position, or does not come lose. These sallerydumped chinese workers who build that stuff dont mind iff something wrong with that shit. It could be higher quality and a bit cheaper when it would come as a kit.

@@hybrid32494 yea that's right!! Whenever you get a hobao nitro you have to start the settings from scratch and also i changed the transmitter and receiver out to the flysky makes it a little easier to set up.
If you heat it up a lot to 230f it starts way better. The problem is the manual says to run the engine cold but the settings are for a hot engine to run.
I baught one of the .30s very nice car but….. that cops system is horrible the pull start is terrible and if I had of known I would not have baught the car. Due to the expensive pull starts I ended up buying a lrp .32 engine and dumped that into it. Yet to break it in. anyone looking at this car I would say avoid it.
I don't understand why anyone would buy an off-band Rc for 600 bucks. It's expensive China knock off people are strange. I mean if it was 300 sure fore 600 there's way better options.

The Hobao brand is the modern (OFNA), even back in the 2000s they used to be called Hong Nor Ofna/Hobao. This is a very high performing buggy and I've already done speed run videos and it's blown away any other buggy I've tested on this channel (other than a Mugen MBX5).

The radio is actually not half bad to start out with, comes as an Etronix Pulse, one of the better Asia market set ups IMHO

Why did you use throttle trim to open the carb? Why not just pull the trigger 15% then turn the RX off 21:55

Ofna is no longer. Ofna cars are actually manufactured by HoBao and HungNor. Ofna didnt make the cars the just distributed them.

I baught one of the .30s very nice car but….. that cops system is horrible the pull start is terrible and if I had of known I would not have baught the car. Due to the expensive pull starts I ended up buying a lrp .32 engine and dumped that into it. Yet to break it in. anyone looking at this car I would say avoid it.

I watch the 2022 ROAR Nats no one was using this knock off brand either can't be that high quality if no one at the highest stages race them.
hey buddy! how you doing. I know this brand name sounds funny and off brand, but let me clarify. The Hobao brand is the modern (OFNA), even back in the 2000s they used to be called Hong Nor Ofna/Hobao. This is a very high performing buggy and I've already done speed run videos and it's blown away any other buggy I've tested on this channel (other than a Mugen MBX5).
