I feel like I found this video as a group therapy session. I'm taking Pchem II right now, and dear god its nice to know that others are suffering as well. Good video man!
Took chem 42, failed exams and dropped, took again over summer, barely got a c, now I'm in Chem 3a and bombed first two exams, will not have to drop and take it again. Hardest part for me is knowing how to rearrange the equations and remember how to put them to use. Organic chem is so much easier for me to understand and I literally watch five lectures in a row no problem. How the hell do I get through Chem 3a and 3b?! I am so bad at math but I understand everything else. Any tips?
I think that you can't really get away from the memorization type questions in Biochemistry and I feel like it is easy for a professor to ruin. I really enjoyed the connection between pathways and how you can better understand the metabolism that occurs in your body and how it changes over time. I also found protein synthesis techniques interesting. I think so far Biophysical Chem has been my favorite, I really liked learning quantum chemistry and how physical chemistry is used in biological systems. I wish my school offered a organic synthesis class or a organometallic chemistry course, I guess I will just have to self study.
Me too biochemistry is more of memorization but sometimes it depends on how professor deliver the concepts...in my chem major I enjoyed more of orgo, physics and pharmaceutical chemistry.
my phys chem 2 final went awful, failed it
Relatable, But don’t let it get you down! Chemistry is all about keeping pushing

This makes me feel like I'm still human and I'm not alone lol
I'm a bio major and we have to take Chem 42, chem 3a and 3al, and chem 3b before we can even take bio 2.1! It is insanity

I totally agree. Some of the parts of bio chem I really enjoyed were how different drugs would work by regulating pathways.
