IM 68 YEARS OLD & IVE LOVED VINCENT PRICE SINCE I WAS MAYBE 9 YEARS OLD ! HES TH MASTER OF TH VOICE FOREVER ! HES GOT AN IMMORTAL VOICE ! NOBODY CAN CLOSE TO COMPARE !? VINCENT PRICE FOREVER !
@@miriamjewett5438 Listen to him talk about his admiration, almost love, for the Black Widow on Alice Coopers 'Welcome To My Nightmare' album. The man was a master of his art.
that man could narrate your worst nightmare and you would beg to have that nightmare every night for the rest of your life lol. that was his skill level within the horror genre
This was good. I was lucky enough to have met Vincent Price at Texas Tech University, in the '80's at a talk he gave and obtained his autograph on the insert of an LP album, "Witchcraft an Demonolgy" that he narrated. It is one of my prize possessions. Price was such a talented actor when it came to "horror" genre films.
James Armstrong your so lucky to have met him. My favorite horror movie actor. I remember seeing House of Wax in Pocatello Idaho years ago in the Chief Theatre. It burned down sometime in the late 1970s. Them paper glasses were funny, but Man the experience of 3D back then. Oh Crap, I just gave away my age.
James Armstrong That was so awesome. I got to meet Jean Shepherd the writer/story teller (A Christmas Story) and I implore anybody whoever has a chance to attend an event such as this to do so without hesitation.
James Armstrong he certainly was, he wasn't gay, he was married to Coral Browne, but he could be as camp as a row of army tents😂 plus he wasn't a luvvie and never took himself seriously
Enjoyed everything is it from radio cooking show movies to public speaking I can still remember him having the same enthusiasm, well appearing on the Muppet show
Yeah probably why he was done so many horror themed things...seriously it just doesn't seem like Halloween without seeing or hearing ol' Vince at least once..and you gotta have a good Vincent Price Cackle to round it out ya know? I remember hearing him in 13 Ghost of Scooby-Doo and even though it was campy it just kinda fit him. He was a good actor and singer but he really shined doing horror related things.
The best place to hear Vincent Price’s voice on Halloween is in the music video for “Thriller”, with the verses he narrates. I believe these are his lines: Darkness falls across the land The midnight hour is close at hand Creatures crawl in search of blood To terrorize y'all's neighbourhood And whosoever shall be found Without the soul for getting down Must stand and face the hounds of hell And rot inside a corpse's shell The foulest stench is in the air The funk of 40 thousand years And grisly ghouls from every tomb Are closing in to seal your doom And though you fight to stay alive Your body starts to shiver For no mere mortal can resist The evil of the thriller! (Edit: I searched for the full lyrics for “Thriller” and found all of Vincent’s lines.)
I saw Vincent do a reading of "The Raven" with an orchestra for Halloween. He was enthralling. Just killed it. He does this here with the perfect mix of camp and menace. Good stuff from a master of the genre.
I remember watching Vincent Price in "House of Wax" at a slumber party! That was 40 years ago and i still love it every Halloween, not to mention Dr. Phibes! He was a gourmet chef and a funny man as well! RIP Vincent🎃
OMGossshhh! Vincent Price is actually doing the infamous Monster Mash! He was most likely in his 70's here..& he looks cool doing it! Far Out!! Groovy!..& Trippy!! He's my fave horror movie star..always! ..& greatly missed.. 🙂🙂💕💕🎃🎃
Vincent Price is the Halloween Man! OOH! Just imagine being around this creative soul !!! He was here for all of us!! No Bull!! BOO!!! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
I love Vincent Price! He was my next door neighbor. His daughter; my friend. He taught me how to tell a moonstone from another rock walking on the beach one day.
I’m 22 and I’ve always been obsessed with Halloween.. when I see Vincent price I see such a beautiful energy and it gives me nostalgia for a time I was never even a part of...
I'm 48. Vincent was all class and played his horror roles with a nod and a wink. That's what makes him so great. He loved his work, he had an extensive fine art collection he donated to colleges before his death, and he published gourmet cookbooks. In fact, he did a skit on the original "Muppet Show" about cooking.
How can l like this a million more times, Vincent Price has one of the coolest voices l have ever heard as l kid l would watch his horror movies just for him
How on earth could I have missed this? This is amazing -then again, it's Vincent Price, so duh - but-but...his delivery is stellar, the consant, suave half-smile, part smirk uncanny and his voice...*sigh* They just don't make the like that, anymore. Don't rest in piece, Vincent; keep Monster Mashing and rocking that eternity
"Come on, my Pretty, do the Monster Mash! It won't hurt, I promise..." -I love how Vincent said it in a way that was so scary, yet so funny at the same time.
I am 52 I remember this as a kid, I had the 45, that is the single at that time. I loved this I remembered it word by word including tonight, and I am Canadian, the monster mash it was a grave yard smash.
Vincent sounds utterly delighted as he lists of methods of carnage. Reminds me of his turn in "The Comedy of Terrors" with Karloff, Lorre, and Rathbone.
One of my favourites has to be 'Theatre of Blood' with the gorgeous Diana Rigg playing his daughter (just as evil as her daddy). Vincent really gets to show his unquestionable talent in this movie.
Brings back more memories than you can imagine. What a time of life. It will never be the same. God what I would love to do a monster mash dance in Nacogdoches TX and get all the college kids in on it. That would be the best EVER.. lol thanks from the bottom of my heart to all here. God Bless
